Great service, picked up a beautiful cross pendant for my wife and had my wedding ring polished up. Super friendly staff worked within my budget and I found exactly what I was looking for. They custom made the ring and engraved it with the Bible verse references and it was ready on the big day! They have gone above and beyond at every step of the way and are so friendly and nice.

Los Angeles Diamond Factory was founded by Mervyn Hahn in 1981 with the objective of giving the customer first rate service with a superior quality product which was until recently only available at fine jewelry boutiques. Mervyn, a first generation U.S. citizen, was born and raised in South Africa in the shadows of the dusty gold and diamond mines.
Our signature five step program has been designed to streamline the custom design process and to allow for maximum creativity. We encourage our clients to bring pictures and drawings of designs or styles that they like. Our design team is at your disposal and can help you create your own signature piece.
A typical custom designed engagement ring will take approximately two weeks to complete. Most of our clients will meet with us for an hour or so before deciding on a design and accompanying diamonds. The actual design creation takes approximately 30 minutes and is done usually on the same day. Once a design has been approved, two weeks later a brand new engagement ring is ready to be picked up.

He is straight forward, doesn't mess about, and is incredibly funny and kind. I'm planning on creating two new pieces and you bet I'm doing it with Mervyn!

After hours of online searching and visiting multiple jewelers in the OC and DTLA we stumbled upon LA Diamond Factory right before they closed on a Saturday (and Mervyn and Glenda were STILL willing to help us out). After getting quotes on some diamonds they had in stock it was made very clear to me that LA Diamond Factory had the most competitive prices from all the different stores we visited locally and online (Rarecarat, James Allen, etc.).
At the time we visited Mervyn didn't have the specific specs I was looking for but assured me that he could source if I gave him a heads up next time. We set an appointment the following week and that was that! I provided a couple pictures of what I wanted in the setting and he knocked it out of the park. For custom engagement rings other stores were quoting a lead time of 8 weeks (especially during COVID) but Mervyn was able to create my dream custom engagement ring in under 4 weeks.
During this process my now fiance let me know that Mervyn and Glenda were extremely communicative of the status of production. Don't let their name fool you! They can do jewelry for all gemstones, not just diamonds. The same day we ordered my engagement ring, I was able to order a custom ring for my mom's 60th birthday which features birthstones from her 3 children. Glenda and Mervyn were extremely accommodating and overnighted the ring so that I could have it on time for my mom's birthday party.

Our entire experience with Los Angeles Diamond Factory was wonderful! We went in with only a picture we found online and an idea, without much knowledge or direction; and a few weeks later, the love of my life put the ring of my dreams on my finger. My fiancee designed an engagement ring, which LA diamond factory produced. Unfortunately their first attempt didn't meet our expectations. After the proposal we contacted Olivia via email regarding our concerns and we went back to the store to sit with Olivia and the jeweler and go over the changes that needed to be made. We left the original ring, anticipating that some small changes would be made to it, but when we went back to pick up the final product both of us were so pleasantly surprised!
They had created a completely brand new ring and it was EXACTLY what my fiancee had drawn and envisioned, at no extra charge. We are so pleased with their work and couldn't be happier.

Mervyn is the best! He is very nice and very friendly (also he always gives you some extra chocolate if you're nice to him;) ). My husband and I got our wedding bands and my engagement ring there and we had an amazing experience. They helped us figure out what we wanted and they created rings that truly represent us. I would definitely recommend them.
