As the new owner of Prairie Jewelers, I am excited to continue the tradition of trust and quality that Mike has established for the last 38 years. Having worked for the oldest and managing the largest Jewelry Stores in Madison, owning my own store is a dream come true. Our store has a comfortable, low stress atmosphere where you can browse at your pace and know you're being treated with respect. While repairs, watch batteries, and ring resizing are popular - that is not all we do. We offer an extensive number of jewelry repair services from polishing, tightening stones, soldering, ring resizing, rebuilding bent or crushed old jewelry, to a full restoration. Master Jewelers Art and Mike will walk you through the process.
Our trained craftsman Mike has years of experience with all types of custom jewelry and repair work, so you can rest assured knowing your prized possessions are in good hands. Here at Prairie Jewelers we offer appraisal services for multiple different purposes. Typically our customers are looking to get their jewelry appraised for estate or insurance purposes, but sometimes people are just curious what their piece is worth. Prairie Jewelers did an awesome job resizing my grandmothers old rings. I would highly recommend this business to anyone looking for a Jeweler near Madison! My grandfather passed a few years back and my grandma was looking to get her rings resized. She was super nervous to have someone work on them because they hold tremendous sentimental value. Once we talked to Art, she felt much more at ease.
He went over the ring resizing process and handled us with care. We left the rings for a few days and they were ready within a week. Thank you so much! My grandma is now wearing her ring again everyday without being worried she is going to lose it.

I had such a great experience working with Art! I wanted to upgrade the diamond in my wedding set and he worked with me to find the perfect stone within my budget. He even took the time to find a marquee stone that was the same ratio (length vs width) as my old stone too. End result was gorgeous and I've received many compliments!

Larry and I stopped in today to get an estimate on my moms cocktail ring and have a bracelet link repaired. It was a few minutes to get the bracelet safe again on my wrist. Moms ring was sitting in my jewelry case with being a size 4.5 it did not fit me. Mike gave me an estimate to repair a crushed diamond (how did that happen) bevel repairs and sizing to a 7.5.
I look forward to having this back next week and smiling down on it for mom. Since my sister in law had her rings sized here and told me how much she liked coming here.she passed it on to us. The store is very nice and their jewelry is displayed favorably. They have a huge selection to choose from and with Valentines Day less than 3 weeks away you must come in sooner than later. Will I be back.of course.

This store has the most amazing customer service! My sister went to them to schedule an appointment for our Mom to have her ring cut off. Art suggested that he could make a "house call" to her Nursing Home and do it there rather than have to schedule transportation to bring her to the store! And he did, right on the spot! Mom was so grateful, as are we all! And he didn't charge her anything.simply amazing! There really are wonderful, giving people in this world. We won't forget this act of kindness.we want to tell EVERYONE!

We had a great experience! The day after we got engaged, we were heading to share the good news with the family but the ring was a bit snug! We found prairie jewelers on a whim, called and asked if they did same day resizing, and they did! Zoomed over, spoke right to the owner, and the goldsmith took the ring and resized it on the spot! Amazing customer service, great experience, and a great price!

I want to give a big shout out to Art at Prairie Jewelers in Sun Prairie! My elderly mom needed to have her ring cut off her finger due to severe swelling. I had made the necessary arrangements to bring her in to the store, but traveling is hard for my mom. When I explained my situation, Art agreed to make a house call and travel with me to her assisted living facility right away!
He was kind, gentle and caring to my mom! The ring is cut off and we couldn't be happier with how things played out today. Prairie Jewelers will definitely be the store I will give my future business to. You won't find that level of hometown customer service anywhere else. Thanks again Art!
