I bought a beautiful violet garnet from Moriarty's Gem. It is my most prized pendant for its natural color and beautiful cut that highlights the beauty of the stone. Moriarty's service was top notch, too. I love the range of stones Moriarty carries, its prices, and the high quality craftsmanship.

I looked online for a long time searching for a quality gemstone ring that had real gem stones and not simulated or lab created. I was also looking for 10K yellow gold which can be hard to find. This ring was a birthday present to myself. Moriarty's Gem Art Jewelers had the perfect simplistic but yet beautiful design I was looking for and in my price range.

I chose my birthstone and my husband's birthstone set in yellow gold. When I first ordered my ring, I underestimated my size and chose a half size too large. I spoke with Customer Service and they quickly resized my ring and returned it to me free of charge. I highly recommend them for quality and customer service. I absolutely love my ring and would purchase from them again.

The folks at Moriarty's Gem Art (and separate Tanzanite website) are fantastic. I was in search of a tanzanite for my wife and was in contact with many different local gem stores, online stores, and dealers (including those in Tanzania). +2 months of researching and contacting. Moriarty's not only had the best selection for the price but they were EXTREMELY helpful in helping me find the right stone that my wife loved (very specific color mix, red flashes, carat size, etc.).

They then went to work on making a custom pendant for the gemstone. They were very patient and helpful - despite the many modifications on my end (going back and forth on designs and to no fault of Moriarty's). In the end, everything came out perfectly. I highly recommend Moriarty's for the full service offerings, beautiful gemstones, extensive knowledge and passion, and great customer care.

All I have to say is I'm utterly impressed! These are some of the most beautiful tanzanite rings I have ever seen. And it's not just the vivid color and quality of the gems but also the excellent workmanship of the jewelry. With heritage from Iran and a love of jewelry from an early age, I am not new to jewelry. I rarely write reviews but I am happy to share this one.

In life, you only see this type of excellent quality when you know it's not just someone doing their job, but someone living their passion to produce such high quality and beautiful designs. Thank you truly for sharing it with the rest of us.

Great experience, highly recommend Moriarty's Gem Art Jeweler's. I saw this stone on their Wednesday Gem Show on Youtube and decided to buy it. They helped with selecting a ring to put it in and went out of their way to make sure I had it in time for a vacation to give it to my girlfriend. Picture doesn't do it justice. We have been buying our special pieces at Moriarty for years. My daughter who just turned 39 was able to pick a special stone on her "golden" birthday when she was 13. The ring that was made is gorgeous. When I survived a serious illness 7 years ago, I picked a blue zircon at a gem show that was also set in a beautiful setting. I was excited to find emerald earrings in the "vintage" area that matched a necklace bought probably over 30 years ago. At that time I could only afford the necklace. Now I cherish them. Moriarty is truly a family jeweler that makes memories.

Moriarty's made a Mother's Ring for me exactly as I asked, it is magnificent! Then I watched a gem show and fell in love with this Spessartite Garnet. I worked with Alice and Christopher Michael on this ring too and I am so smitten! The setting is amazing, I wish I could capture the real life sparkle in the photos! And the detail and style is so perfect for me, and we've never even met!

Steve and his team are top notch. A classy operation. Steve knows his stones and can get just about anything for you. Couple that with his son's in-house design capabilities and you'll never need to go anywhere else. If we lived closer like we used to, we'd be in his store all the time! I've been buying from Moriarty's Gem Art for some time now and each time I'm always pleased with the gemstones that I've purchased. The shipping is fast--usually about 3 business days. My recent purchased arrived on a Saturday--another stunner! I enjoy watching his shows which are both informative and interesting. I learned a great deal about what to look for in certain gems including the history behind gem discoveries. I've learned to appreciate gems that I've never heard of before and have purchased several of them. The adventures that accompany his narratives are also humorous.

My wife and I traveled to their shop last February in search of a tanzanite stone and custom ring. I knew what I wanted and had a sketch. Alice showed us several stones and we finally pick one.hard decision. They had so many to choose from. Gave Christopher the sketch to start design. Then covid hit. Christopher sent several computer images for us to see and make changes.

Well it is finally done and very beautiful. I love it and the experience we had at this store. So much so, I bought a pair of aquamarine gems for my wife and having them made into earrings. Plan on buying a stone and having a ring made for my wife too.

I just ordered a 2.43 ct tanzanite ring on 14k white gold with diamonds ring setting.i ordered friday, april 3, Steve was able to resize for me the same day and ship out the same day.i just received it today(April 6), it looks gorgeous and beautiful.the blue is very deep, and exceptional color.i also read Steve's blog, as he personally climbed down 1200 ft to tanzanite mine in Tanzania.those are very interesting.i think the ring is well worth the money and i got a 100% authentic great quality tanzanite.great customer service.highly recommended.

If you are wanting a beautiful, custom-designed, ring with true talent and meticulousness, CHOOSE Moriarty's! Alice bent over backwards to make sure I had everything I desired. She was dedicated to making sure I was happy with my results- all from long distance/ out of state. After numerous e-mails and phone calls, my ring was and is absolutely perfect.

Both Alice and Chris (the talented artist who built the ring) were so considerate of the details. I receive compliments constantly of the detail and the beautiful color of the stone. I found Moriarty's online recently, while shopping for a tanzanite stone. I ended up buying a stone from them, and having them make me a beautiful ring. I then engaged them to create another ring from a stone I inherited. The entire process: design, review and shipping, was effortless on my part. The results have been stunning, and I am now in the process of creating yet another piece for my collection. Kudos to Alice, Christopher and Michael. Even though you are in IN (I am in San Francisco) you make me feel like you are right next door. You guys ROCK!

Absolutely wonderful work! Employees are super helpful and know their stuff. I went in with an idea for an engagement ring and they walked me through every step from start to finished product. They had great input on finding the right diamond. For a custom ring they do a computer generated model followed my a wax mold to fully visualize the end product. Prices are excellent and employees are professional.

I didn't go in for jewelry today, but may well do so in the future. (Their collection of cut and polished gems and jewelry is extensive and impressive.) Instead, I went in to look at the one case devoted to display-worthy mineral specimens and fossils. There were not a lot of minerals / rocks, but it was a nice selection, with good variation in size, and they seemed reasonably priced.

I saw exceptionally aesthetic, dust-free, undamaged specimens of spessartine garnet, tourmaline, emerald, cavansite, ammolite, stibnite, epidote, opal, azurite, fluorite, amethyst, labradorite, pyrite.and I'm afraid I can't remember the rest! I picked up a nice Oregon sunstone in matrix. I was told all about it and where and how it was collected. Wrapped up nicely and carefully. Great people, very knowledgeable. Nice to have this shop in NWI.

I rarely give 5 stars when reviewing a retail establishment, however this business did great by me. I needed my ring cleaned and prongs redone for an upcoming event. Because they do the repairs on site, I was able to get my ring back in 5 days instead of the 7 days as promised. Exceptional customer service! The center stone is securely in place and the 25 year old ring shines as if it were brand new. I drove past other jewelry store's to get to Moriarty's and am glad I did.

This is the real deal. These guys go to Tanzania, hang with the locals and have the best Tanzanite I've ever seen. The deepest blues and purples. Blackish at times.

This place is WAY better than any other jewelry place I've ever been to. Yes, the selection isn't as big as say. Albert's or Kay but, the stuff they carry is amazing! They can custom make or order anything from their catalogs for you to see (no charge and usually within a couple days). I purchased an engagement ring and both our wedding bands here.

The staff is amazing! Customer satisfaction is definitely their top priority. They take the time to show you all kinds of settings and stones as well as helping you narrow your selection and guide you as you browse the seemingly endless array of semiprecious and precious gems they carry. They have Raw stones, uncut and still in the media it was found in.

One of the neatest things we saw there was the raw Tanzanite. Second on the list was the dinosaur bone ring and third was the fossilized trilobite on display. We absolutely LOVE this place, the staff, selection and 'oh cool!' factor of what they have all add up to a solid 5 for both of us.
