Truman Jewelers

I took my ring in for rhodium plating before my wedding in a week. Turns out I was missing a stone in my ring! They were able to get it shiny, new and all fixed in time for my wedding next week! My ring has truly never looked better and the people working there are so kind and just nice humans. I'll be referring and bringing all of my jewelry to be serviced here! Such a great experience!

Took my ring in for repair and it was fixed within 20 minutes. The gentleman who worked on it is a genuine professional. The price was very reasonable and he even cleaned it up for no extra cost. I'll definitely be using this establishment for all of my jewelry needs. I'm posting before and after pictures of my ring so people can understand how pleased I am with the result.

DON'T SHOP THERE DON'T TRUST THEIR INTEGRITY Sorry I have to do this Paul and daughter but "BAD" business. Soooooo disappointed. But late now \_()_/ Gospel So on 10/14/20 I entered into the store to purchase as I requested a "14k" wht gold custom made mens ring for a nice Cubic Circonia I already had from a previous ring And was quoted $800 as the final sale price and recommended that I leave a 10 or 20% deposit.

I left $200 down. Got a call 12/1/20 that the ring was ready. I arrived paid the balance of $600 to which my surprise $64.00 extra was added for tax which was not on my original attached sales receipt also shown in photo below. Paid it no argument. Loving the appearance of what I thought I was a happy camper until I noticed after looking on the inside that it was not 14k but 10k.

I came back in the store 2 mins later and brought it to Paul's attention. He and his daughter disputed that because of the amount I purchased it for they couldn't do it at 14k but instead at 10k. I was never notify before hand of the change because they claimed they "forgot" to call me. I asked Paul to change it for what I asked for 14k and his argument was it would cost me $1500 to change it because 14k was more expensive.

I then asked him to deduct the difference in the amount for 10k which I didn't want initially and he didn't want to with an argument between his daughter myself and him with him asking me why I didn't want 10k (awkward). Finally after my insistence he broke down and deducted $200. I deem this a bad business transaction and will not do business with Truman Jewelers again. Left an "unhappy customer". Sad but true.

Quality on all fronts at this establishment. I first went to Truman's because of it's location across the street from my office. They converted some of my late Father's cufflinks and tie-tacks into earrings and pendants. I was happy with the work so I went to them when I was getting engaged, as I wanted to use my late Mother's engagement ring. They understood the sentimental value and did great work when they resized the ring and reset the new crown.

They also created a custom wedding band to fit the odd shape of the engagement ring band. All quality workmanship and Paul is the best. Even though my office moved out of downtown Albany, I still make the trip in to Truman's for my needs. Megan did a great job in resizing some rings for me recently. She also spent a lot of time talking to me about my other jewelry and she has repaired some pieces I had that I had poorly stored (dampness got to them). Recently, I went to purchase earrings that they ordered for me, but after taking a look at them, Paul refused to complete the purchase as he felt the quality of the stones delivered to him were not up to par.

He ordered new stones and I will be picking them up shortly. Now, that's good service. I would have never known enough to notice the flaw, but Paul did and his integrity stood out. These guys are all about quality and good customer service and that is what has made me a loyal customer. Addendum:. I picked up the earrings and they are gorgeous. This was a year or so ago. I just wanted to add that the final product was beautiful.

Paul created such an amazing ring for me. If you're looking for something original, he is the one to create your memories!

It took a month to get my jewelry repaired after a being told my wait time would be a week.a week.

Aside from a tasteful selection, Paul and Megan are simply pleasant people to do business with. I've never felt pressured or pushed to buy anything and they've always put our needs first. More than fair prices from a local merchant, a pleasing experience and satisfaction. We will continue to be return customers!

Great selection of beautiful jewelry. And uncommon pieces you will not find in the "mall" stores. Great personal service as well. If your looking for something special, Truman Jewelers is the place to stop.

Paul and his staff provide absolutely first-rate service. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely responsive to their customers' needs. I very highly recommend this business.

I would not recommend taking any of your jewelry here. Paul Truman Jewelry is very dishonest. We brought in a piece to have modified only to be lied to and charged when he personally removed diamonds and then they needed to be re-mounted. Avoid like the Plague.

I've been shopping and having repairs and custom jewelry pieces done at Trumans for about 12 years. The sales staff are excellent. Amy is especially helpful and has had a number of creative ideas for setting or resetting stones. Repairs are always done promptly and the cost has always been very reasonable. Amy has helped me design specialty pieces and she and Paul have executed the designs, wax mold to finished, polished product just beautifully.

From simply unknotting a chain or replacing a watch battery up to manufacture of some beautiful, unique pieces, Trumans has never let me down. Its worth the trip downtown to visit this shop.

Truman Jewelers does excellent jewelry repair and bench work. I have an old platinum ring with three diamonds - about 1 3/4 carats. The ring needed to be resized. It now fits perfectly and I no longer worry about losing it because it was just slightly too big. Another good thing is the watch selection that they carry. I have a Citizens Solar-Tech watch with eco-drive that I got from Truman Jeweler's about six years ago.

Because of the watch's technology (it has a battery that runs on solar!), I have never had to replace the battery. Cool, right? One more thing - my husband and I got our wedding bands from Truman Jewelers AND I also get all my other jewelry from them too. I especially like the fact that they carry Chamilia beads. I would highly recommend Truman Jewelers.

I needed to have some watch batteries replaced, so I googled jewelers in downtown Albany. Truman's came up so on my lunch hour I took a walk over. I'm not much of a fine jewelry buyer - most of what I wear is from the sale rack at target but they had a nice selection of necklaces if I need to pick up a gift. I got 3 watch batteries replaced in 15 minutes and spent less than I would have if I'd let the unskilled girl at walmart replace them.

For me, this is a solid 3 star establishment but gets a 4th for the awesome shop dog - beautiful black lab puppy (I think his name was Yeager). Any place that has a well behaved dog I can visit with always gets an extra star.
