Love my anniversary diamond ring. My husband said they were so helpful and knowledgeable! I took it back to have sized and they were so helpful and got it done quickly. Highly recommend!

If you need a jewelers this is where you should go. They take very good care of their customers and stand behind their workmanship and jewelry. My 92 year old uncle has been going to them for decades!

Everyone who works there is very passionate about pleasing their customers and I've been going to this jeweler for over 10 years without a single complaint from me. I would highly recommend them before going to any other place just to get disappointed.

Love going into Mayfair! My fiance worked with Rob to create the most perfect solitaire oval engagement ring with a hidden halo. Outstanding quality ring, and my diamond is truly stunning. Rob helped my fiance through the whole process - helpful, knowledgeable, and genuinely took the time to create my ring. I visit often for cleanings, and Rob & staff have been always been so kind! We are purchasing our wedding bands from Mayfair in the near future, and most likely other pieces for my bridal look.

This was my first visit but definitely not my last. I took a ride with my girlfriend for her to pick up a ring. I brought along some watches that needed batteries and ended up buying a piece of jewelry. Customer service was exceptional in an age where that's hard to find. There's a wide variety of jewelry for everyone including estate jewelry(my new favorite I'll have to check out monthly) check them out you won't be disappointed.

I love this jewelry store. I have been purchasing my jewelry for many years here and have gotten exceptional service especially from Dave and Rob who go out of their way to help with a purchase or a problem.there are also 2 other associates there who ae always willing to help out. I have moved to Fl in the last few years but come up OFTEN and only purchase my quality jewelry here. I do wish they had a wider selection in their store but they are awaiting new arrivals from their owners in Schenectady. Will be going again for sure.

I'm a BIG FAN! Cindy was especially helpful today with my elderly mom. In a time when customer services is being replaced by self checkouts, or teenagers obsessed with their phones. Seriously, they don't care about their customers, especially after you buy something. Walked into the store to replace the battery in the beautiful gold watch my Dad bought my mother from this store among many other beautiful pieces. They had 2 employees working there and no customers. She asked me if I could leave it for a few days, they were short staffed. I would never go back.

I have always had excellent service here. Today I had one repair done on the spot and left a bracelet with them to have a charm put on it. They checked the prongs on a ring that I had made here and cleaned it for me. Everthing was done quickly and the girl was very helpful with the charm.

I literally can not say enough positive things about Mayfair Jeweler. Every time I have gone into their store, I walk out more than satisfied. A few years ago, my dog of 18 years passed away. I was SO upset. I had her collar and wanted to make it into some kind of piece that I could use every day. When I walked in, I spoke with Chris, and explained what I wanted to have done with Ginger's collar.

I thought this guy was going to look at me like I had 12 heads, but he was so very genuine. He took the collar and was explaining a few different options he may be able to do. He asked if he could hang on to it; to see what he could finagle. A few days later I came back, and Chris greeted me again. He explained to me that it was difficult material to work with, but he was able to make a key chain.

I almost cried I was so happy. I have used it as my key chain since the minute I got it. He also gave me the small pieces and the main part of the collar he tried to play around with. I could not be happier with Chris, Mayfair Jeweler or their work. So much so, that I told my boyfriend (now fiance ) that he needed to get a ring from them (and no other jeweler) because they took such great care of me and listened to what I asked. And my ring is BEAUTIFUL! I would never dream of buying jewelry anywhere else. I obviously can't rave about them enough! Thank you, Mayfair!

I read the other review and they must have taken what they said to heart because they were super helpful and extremely kind to me. I ran in yesterday 4 minutes before closing and they let me in with a smile on their face. They assisted me with no rush as I explained my elaborate plan for a necklace that I wanted to design. I met with the owner John who helped me out with ideas and the creative process, while his assistant (can't remember her name) was pleasant and full of even more ideas as she was a jewelry designer as well.

They haven't made my necklace yet, but I have full confidence that this will be a great experience since this was such a great start. I look forward to the finished piece!

I agree with the other reviewer. While the selection is awesome, and the prices within range of what other jewelry stores are, the female staff members are AWFUL. They are so pretentious, and basically ignore you unless you get right up to them and ask a question, then they act like you are not worth their time. I am sure there are some exceptions to the staff, but every time I am in there, I feel like my business is not wanted or needed.

I stopped in recently before closing time, and I know they are wrapping things up, but no one acknowledged me, and continued to close up, and ignored me. I finally just waked up to one of them and ask if I could just drop something off. There was a big sigh, and she assisted me, never making eye contact, and continued to talk to her co workers about what they were doing that evening.

Then when I had to leave, the gate was across the front door, now I still had 5 minutes before they closed, and no one assisted me in getting the gate open to get out. There are so may other jewelry stores in the capital district, Mayfair needs to have some serious staff training for pleasant customer service, if they want repeat business.

Their jewelry is beautiful, but the customer service is sub-par at best. The two brothers who own the place (Victor & John) are both great, as is their custom jewelry designer (Chris), but I am consistently disappointed by the female staff members. I am very rarely greeted by them when I enter the store. When leaving, I never hear a "thank you" or "have a nice day." The other day, I showed up ten minutes before closing to pick up my ring (which was resized); Chris had called me earlier to tell me it was ready, and he gave me their hours for the day.

I was first ignored as I stood in the doorway, and then greeted by another woman with a stern "Sorry, we're closing" and told to come back another time. Another time, when looking at wedding bands, I mentioned that my engagement ring was designed by Chris, and we'd be interested in having him do our wedding bands as well. For some reason, she started to question me about my ring ("Are you sure it was designed here?

He may have just selected it from our case"), as if she didn't believe me. They have some wonderful jewelry and great talent, but I often feel as though I'm not worth their time.
