I've come in to King's Jewelry to have watch batteries and band links re-sized and replaced three times now and each time the staff was very friendly, courteous, and helpful in explaining what they could do! I highly recommend

My husband and I got my antique engagement ring re-sized at King's and later purchased our wedding bands there. King'a Jewelry is a wonderful family owned business. My fiance took and purchased all of our wedding rings here and I'm so glad that we did. My engagement ring is an old family heirloom and King's did an incredible job repairing and strengthening it without changing the look. Catharine also designed a custom wedding band to fit flush with my ring and it's absolutely stunning.

I called King's Jewelry out of the blue because my elderly mom who also has severe dementia, wheelchair bound.her ring was stuck on her finger due to swelling in her hands and knuckles and was starting to cut off circulation. I asked the person on the phone could I bring her to their store to cut the ring off. Without hesitation he replied with yes and said he would happily assist. Well, I generally don't write reviews but they were so kind once we arrived at the store and very pleasant.just good people to the core.they cut my moms ring off and it meant the world to me. I had just gotten engaged to the love of my life and couldn't be happier. The ring was perfect in every way possible besides being a smidge too big. Being in Alexandria for years I wanted to keep it local and phoned this shop. Never been engaged or had sized jewelry before so I didn't know what to expect. I called and asked if they did resizing.

The younger sounding man on the phone hesitantly said "yes?" and didn't sound reassuring at all. I proceeded to ask how long it takes usually (again, didn't have instant expectations, it was just a question). He responded with a scoff and then a laugh as if he's some big hot shot that's too good for paying customers and said it takes about 5 weeks. Didn't even make it to the door of this place cause of that guy. The ladies at Today's Cargo are way more pleasant to consult with.

Gregory was extremely courteous and helpful when I came in looking for a gold chain. My entire visit in the shop was a very pleasant experience. I will definitely be back for my next jewelry.

My ring from the 1920's with delicate filagree lost a stone. Their goldsmith not only found a perfect match, but restored my ring and secure the stones perfectly! Highly recommend them if you have an antique ring or any jewelry needs!

I can't say enough nice things about King's Jewelry! My Fiance designed my engagement ring there. It is INCREDIBLE! They are so kind and helpful. They polish my jewelry all the time. They also take care of my fiance's watches. As a bonus, they are family owned and have been there for many many years! They really take care for us and we will be life long customers! Outstanding customer service. First time customer and took my watch in for a battery replacement. I also had my wedding band polished while I was there. Michael took care of everything in no time and didn't charge a dime for the trouble. Everyone was courteous as could be, and I'll definitely be back!

Quality. Friendly. Helpful. Michael Harris is the salesperson to ask for! Lovely person, knows his stuff, is honest and goes out of his way to be helpful. Another young man the first time I went in downplayed the worth and quality of my diamond and said I'd get "whatever someone offers but not something we'd buy." Michael said it was a lovely diamond worth a few thousand quite a bit more than "whatever someone may offer" if I were to sell on my own. Jewelers always buy jewelry from customer for much much much less than it is worth because they can buy diamonds at wholesale.

Moral of the story is ask and then ask again. I went back after getting a similar conclusion as Michael's from another jeweler. Accept for that one young man I've always had outstanding assistance at this store and trust them. King's jewelry is such a wonderful and rare jewelry store, and I had an excellent experience when I went to get my jewelry repaired here. The customer service was friendly and efficient, and the time was minimal. I went in to get four necklaces repaired and the store generously offered to fix the necklaces without charge due to the clasps breaking.

Not only did they fix the necklaces quickly, but while I was in the store, the level of professionalism and care was evident to each and every customer. They fixed customer's batteries in their watches, helped in ring shopping, and assisted in jewelry repair. This family owned business is a gem and I will most definitely be bringing my future jewelry business back here to King's jewelry store. I have always been impressed with the service at King's Jewelry. My wife damaged her engagement ring and lost one of the small channel stones. It was a huge bummer and I was fully expecting to get raked over the coals to repair it. King's was very helpful in accessing the damage and providing an estimate to repair the ring. They cost of repair was not unreasonable and they completed the work in a timely manner.

My family has been going to Kings for decades. They have great customer service. The staff is always welcoming and ready to assist. They also have a security guard in the store at all times which is comforting when leaving jewelry with them. I have been going to this store on and off for almost a decade and finally now leaving a review! Probably the most honest jewelry store I have come across in the area. The service I get from them (and it's not like I'm a regular customer or have bought anything expensive) is outstanding.

Such a lovely place! Exceptional service; even for the most mundane repair or watch battery replacement. Fine displays of inviting jewelry and watches. Worth a consultation if you are considering purchasing jewelry worthy of passing down for generations.

My experience here was amazing. My engagement ring that was purchased somewhere else had broken and I brought it in to King's to see how it could be fixed. The healer on staff looked at the ring and gave a detailed and clear outline of what they could do and what they would recommend. Their price was lower than other quotes I had gotten and the staff kept me informed during the entire process. The ring came back to me in great condition and looked like nothing had ever been wrong. A friend had recommended King's and I can now see why!

I brought a Rolex that I inherited to add a couple of links to the band, knowing that it was an old, old watch (50 years +) and that it might not be easy to find the links for the band. The team worked quickly to adjust the band at the clasp; I didn't need to send the watch away to get the extra links from Rolex. They were courteous and kind, and at the end of the day didn't even charge me for the adjustment.

I was really impressed with the customer service. I'll level with you--I looked scrubby the day I went in. I was in jeans, no makeup, and had just come from walking the dog--all winter windswept. The sheriff working security made sure to make eye contact with me, if you know what I mean. I certainly wasn't "Old Town" presentable. And they still treated me respectfully and asked me to come back. Kudos to the shop for their manners and their customer service.

I'm a little late with this review update. Notice I bumped it up from a 4 to a 5. Look, this is truly my favorite jewelry place. Granted, the work was sent off to Rolex for the repair, but the bottom line is I was treated remarkably well.

Over the years, we have bought several pieces of jewelry there. Some for myself and some for my mid-20s daughter. Every time we go in, we find great uniques pieces that you can't find anywhere else. I love the estate pieces while my daughter loves the unique sleek modern pieces. I recently got her a beautiful diamond necklace for her 25th bday and she hasn't stopped wearing it!

Plus the prices are very reasonable and in keeping with Internet jewelers though they are better than Internet jewelers because they offer lovely, informative service. Highly recommend to both locals and out-of-town visitors.

Had a great experience here. Emailed about a hard-to-find wristwatch, and Andrew emailed me back letting me know they had it in stock. Other ADs in the area charged a premium for the watch, but King's Jewelry used the MSRP. I drove down the same day and ended up buying. Andrew was very knowledgeable and helpful and made sure the purchase process moved along swiftly. Would not hesitate to come back again for my next watch purchase.

I recently had my engagement ring repaired here and it now looks better than I've ever seen it! The ring was originally my fiance's grandmother's and it was too big for my finger. In January I took it to what I'm now referring to as a "chop shop jeweler" in DC. They did it quickly while I waited and at the time I was pleased enough since I didn't want to wait days or weeks to have my engagement ring sized.

I wanted to be able to wear it while I celebrated the news with everyone! Little did I know until I took my ring to be inspected by Kings Jewelry the previous jeweler did a terrible job sizing my ring down and 6 months later my stones were loose and the ring wasn't perfectly round anymore, it was an oval! The goldsmith here did an AMAZING job rounding my ring back into a circle, tightening the stones, and smoothing out the band so that it actually looks brand new!

All the scuffs and scratches leftover from 60+ years of wear and tear were smoothed out too which I wasn't expecting but was a lovely surprise. The ring was returned to me fully polished and gorgeous. I will happily return in a couple of months to have it inspected again and make sure the stones aren't coming loose. The only con with this jeweler was that the repair took 3 weeks to complete.

I assume just due to the complicated nature of the repair but I also called after 1 week and no work had been done on it yet. It was a very long time to be without my engagement ring but I'm really satisfied with the results. It was worth it in the end and I'll be a return customer!

I have had them appraise and repair jewelry. Always fair and honest which is important when dealing in valuables of unknown valuable. I've also purchased some items from this business and they are fair on price and helpful in selecting items from their inventory. In fact, I've placed an order for jewelry not in stock based on my preference and it met expectations.

Recommend doing business here. I haven't sold jewelry and don't know much about that aspect of their business. I think they apply appraisal fees toward jewelry purchases but cannot verify as it's been a while since I shopped here.

I've never left a bad review before. I know Yelp reviews can hurt small businesses, so I don't take this lightly. This business was extremely shady and dishonest. Everything they told me was resoundingly rejected by other jewelers. Not only did they quote a price well over double that of other jewelers, but they made it sound like a favor to me.

They said the job would take about five weeks, when every other jeweler only need a day. They explained many flaws with my ring, which caused me to seek many opinions. I never heard anything like the lies this store told me. They had me so scared that my ring was poorly made, going to break and I could only trust them. I felt a lot of pressure to leave the ring right then for a free, more in depth estimate.

It was so doom and gloom, and as it turns out, completely and demonstrably false. STAY AWAY! I would never, ever leave anything I cared about with these people. Very distressing experience.

I had an awful experience at King's. I brought my engagement ring in to be resized, got a fairly good (if a bit high) estimate and left it with them. I got 3 calls in the next week, each one saying additional charges had just been discovered, but explaining that lucky for me, each one was "on sale" so they were technically cutting me a break.

Finally after the last call when the price had gone from $170 to over $450 I called to ask what was going on and the salesperson apologized for his "bad math" and said he had added an extra $100 to the total by accident. At that point I felt like my ring was being held hostage so I paid and I will never, ever return.

What a great place! I really love the small town feel of this store compared to the chain stores. I had some questions regarding a diamond and the associate (woman) gave me some very helpful recommendations. When I am ready to purchase another stone, they will definitely have my business!

Super customer service! Walked in to get the clasp on my Rolex looked at and was welcomed and helped within seconds and I wasn't the only Patton in the shop. Within 5 minutes, I had my watch back as good as new and at no charge. Awesome! I'll be back for all of my Jewelers needs.

My husband bought quite a few things from here that I liked so I was more than eager to give them my business when I was in the market for a Tag watch for my husband's birthday. The sales guy showed me the watches he thought fit my description. He stated that it was the kind you shake to wind. A year later when we had to get it repaired & had moved from the area.

A new jeweler told us that 1. This is a woman's watch & 2. It did not wind up by a shake of the wrist. I immediately contacted King's & their manager defended her sales person without any concerns for myself as a customer. All I wanted from them was a apology for their mistake! They misrepresented their product - why would my husband now want to wear this $1700 watch since it's really a woman's! Turns out women's watches are cheaper so I paid a man's priced watch for a woman's! Beware of these guys! Take your business elsewhere if you don't want to be scammed!
