My wife and I were passing through Richmond and needed our wedding rings resized. Even though our needs were relatively inexpensive process for a jeweler, we felt highly valued during every interaction. All of the staff were positive and polite, the jeweler explained the process to us, and they stayed in contact with us, even though we were out of the country. I would go there for my jewelry needs if I lived close (I live in the midwest).

I've had serval pieces designed and fine tuned to what I wanted. I was very happy with everything I have ever purchased and my wife was ecstatic with her jewelry. 25 year customer and not done yet

Don worked with me to design a custom engagement ring. The process was meticulous and Don's attention to detail and flexibility helped bring my vision to reality resulting in a one-of-a-kind piece that took my now Fiance's breath away. The team at Dransfield is absolutely second to none. I called Don with a completely custom order that needed to be the most special gift, but I had only a couple of weeks' turnaround time. Exactly when promised, I picked up a stunning pair of cufflinks that were so much more beautiful than I could have imagined. The entire customer experience was remarkable, and I only wish I'd discovered their lovely little Cary St. shop sooner.

I understand they'll be moving to a virtual storefront in 2021; but I have no doubt that the customer service will still be outstanding in every way. Richmond, let's keep this amazing family in business for many years to come - they are GEMS.

My fiancee and I were very excited to visit Dransfield Jewelers as her recently married sister received a beautiful engagement ring from her now-husband that he purchased there. My fiancee had inherited a ring and she wanted to have the diamond reset into a more modern design. On the day we visited Dransfield, we took a quick liking to the staff. They had positive attitudes and were confident that they could turn out the design that she wanted after she gave them a detailed description and showed them some pictures to help illustrate.

In fact, they were able to use not only the main diamond in the engagement ring but also the miniature diamonds in the band to contribute to a new wedding band. After chatting with the staff, we decided to let them take on the job and left the ring with them. It took about two months for the engagement ring to be completed, and here is where our experience loses a star.

When we left the ring with them, we were told that we would receive rough sketches within the week. Two weeks went by and we hadn't heard anything from them. My fiancee then sent them an email to follow up. After a week went by and we still hadn't heard anything, I gave them a call. They apologized and sent us some rough sketches a few days later.

My fiancee looked them over and gave them feedback. A month later, the engagement ring was done and it turned out beautifully. The wedding band took only another month and some change to be completed (well before our wedding date) and again, it turned out better than anything we could have hoped for. It wasn't so much the length of the timeline that they gave us for the engagement ring, it was the fact that they didn't stick to the timeline they proposed to us and were incommunicative at times.

We would have completely understood if they had told us that they were backed up or that they were in the middle of a busy season and would not have the completed ring to us for a month or two. We like open communication and it would have been nice to be kept apprised of the work being done. However, we do not want this to put a blight on our overall experience with Dransfield because it was excellent.

We are thrilled with the rings they turned out for us. They clearly know their craft very well and in my opinion, to have the expertise to use components of one ring to help make two stunning pieces of jewelry is impressive. The staff are very professional, cordial, and willing to work with their customers. If you're considering taking a ring in for a custom job, I think it's safe to say that they can do anything you want with it.

We had a fantastic experience working with Don and his team to design a custom ring. They were able to take our initial vision and work through the details until we landed on a final design. All work was done within the estimated timeline, and we could not be happier with the finished piece. Highly recommended!

I wanted a custom engagement ring featuring a gray / champagne diamond, and had a tough time finding a jeweler willing to source just the right stone for me. As soon as I reached out to Dransfield Jewelers, the owner hopped on the phone with me and assured me that they'd be able to help. When I visited the storefront, Rose met with me, pulled out a variety of colored diamonds and helped narrow in on exactly what I was looking for.

The first diamond she tracked down was PERFECT - though she was willing to keep looking if I had something else in mind. She then worked with me to nail down the band and accompanying stones, and created a totally unique ring for me. We were so pleased with the experience, that we returned for our wedding bands, and will definitely be customers going forward. I would highly recommend Rose, and Dransfield Jewelers. They're professional, helpful, and a joy to work with.

We had such an amazing experience working with Dransfield Jewelers for our wedding bands and my engagement ring. We worked with Rose to design my engagement ring almost two years ago. After our first meeting and me describing aspects of rings that I liked, Rose sent me about 12 different and unique designs based off of our conversation that were all absolutely stunning.

My boyfriend at the time (now husband!) picked one of those designs to propose with and it was more beautiful than anything that I could have imagined.
