Yater is an outstanding jeweler. He completely restored and enhanced my husband's grandmother's engagement ring and made it so a band could fit under the ring, which was previously not possible. He custom designed a beautiful wedding band that would fit under the engagement ring, and we had so much fun picking out the loose stones for the band. The staff here is all extremely friendly and personable. We are very happy with our experience working with Yater and highly recommend Yater for all your jewelry needs.

I went in as someone trying to buy an engagement ring with no knowledge of engagement rings. Mark Yater took the time to help me design an incredible ring that gets compliments from everyone. And it was in the budget I set!

Nothing like taking care of customers that drive 2 hours spend 10k and charge 300 for a sizing on a ring you built 2 years ago. Great quality just let your customers know that in the beginning.

The staff is always incredibly nice, on top of that their custom work is beautiful and fairly priced. I have also had my jewelry in for repairs and have been nothing but satisfied with the work all the way around.

Surperb craftsmen who can design anything. They have beautiful in house designs and great collections. They also can do in house watch repair which is very unusual. Integrity with great pricing. I've purchased many items from them.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS. We had a terrible experience with them when we commissioned them to design a custom ring. The ring came back with the side diamonds misaligned, and after a couple discussions with Greg Yater where we tried to get the problem fixed, it was never right. After getting a second opinion, we went back a couple months later to speak with Greg (politely), and he was immediately confrontational.

He wouldn't even look at the ring, refused to discuss our issue at all, told us he would not do anything to fix it (and that he does not back up his work), and threatened to call the police if we didn't leave the store, where another couple was currently shopping. He made an unprovoked scene and treated us worse than I have ever before been treated as a customer.

We were shocked. This was certainly the biggest purchase we had ever made, and it was a disaster with Yater & Sons. We are thoroughly disappointed and can't believe they run a business that way.

Yater & Sons was a referral from a close friend. We brought a family stone for setting. The personal attention, custom design, and atmosphere was everything I had hoped for. My ring was designed in October 1994. My husband has promised me a new design for our 20th anniversary, I look forward to designing a new setting that will last a lifetime.

I have to admit I know nothing about Jewelry and that I did not do any comparison shopping. My friend did and he found that the prices at Yater and Sons were competitive. What sets this place apart from a lot of the other places is that the person who you are sitting with talking over the jewelry will a lot of times be making your piece. I went in and talked to Greg Yater about ten times and enjoyed it.

He helped me pick out an engagement ring for my fiance that she loves and he kept within the budget that we initially talked about. He even explained how to stretch the dollars. I do not know hoe much jewelry I will buy in the future, but I do know that I will be going back to Greg Yater.
