I have been coming to Maya for years, something exciting and new, you have to visit in person to take it all in, every trip is nice and different

Absolutely love this place. Went in here just a few days ago while on a trip there and had the best customer service, got some cute affordable stuff for me, family and friends. Will definitely be back.

Masks on the wall are super cool. Jewlery left much to be desired. Cheap.

The place is akin to a Gallery and a mesmerizing atmosphere. Thousands of folks coming from the Midwest for the Super Bowl so I hope they pay a visit to MAYA.

Maya has been a favorite place of mine for a decades. My home, my friend's home have many many many items from Maya. Haven't been there in a while. I was very excited to take my husband there for the first time and add more to our collection of both decorative items and jewelry, of course. Walked in and immediately saw a big difference. The store was disorganized, messy and customer service. or the lack of it was disappointing.

Two not one but two! female associates thought talking about their personal lives and ignoring their customers apparently was more important than generating sales. Even my husband made a comment about their disconnect with where they are and their responsibilities. Very disappointed and embarrassed since I talked the place up for days. Only giving it 2 stars because there are others who work there who are very friendly and actually take pride in their job but needless to say, we won't be returning. What a shame. Like Julia said in PW, " Big mistake. Big. Huge. I have to go shopping now!" somewhere else and we did.

This place is packed from floor to ceiling. They carry a large selection of silver and semi precious stone jewelry. In necklaces, rings, pendants, ear rings & pins in various styles. Incense in a wide range of fragrances and holders. Wood carvings and a extensive assortment of mask from various countries. Ranging from small to the very large. Pricing for their mask range from the teens to the high hundreds.

THIS PLACE IS THE BEST. Everyone who works there is super patient and helpful. Their jewelry is affordable and I was able to find gifts for my 8 year old sister, my boyfriend, my mom and myself. Under $50 total! I was in such a rush to catch them after work before they closed, and Nita went above and beyond by sending me photos of the lockets they had to ensure I wasn't wasting my time.

They also have no problem straightening out my gold rings that I bend from working with my hands, free of charge. I've been buying jewelry there since junior high, and as a 31 year old I am so grateful that they still exist. You guys are the best! Thank you!

Was referred to this place by a friend for the jewelry selection and i did not expect to be so swoon! I was amazed by the variety and organization of their products. The male clerk was so kind, helpful and patient. So glad this is now near me! The store feels authentic and not just like any ol spiritual spot. They will be seeing alot of my buisness from now on :

Placed an order in June that was canceled in October. They canceled because they don't have the product, but they still have it for sale on their site. I also noticed they drastically reduced their prices, which means they're probably using nickel. DO NOT BUY THIS SHIT.

Best unique exotic home decor & jewelry store in Los Angeles. Located on the famous Melrose strip, I found Mexican/Central American, Indonesian, Indian and much more masks, mirrors, assorted home decor priceless gems! Great assortment of silver jewelry. I'm just in Heaven in this store.

This is based off my experience coming here twice. Right off the bat this is a store I would not visit on my own. But my boyfriend took me here to pick out a present for my birthday. I'm thinking, ugh I'm getting a mood ring. I began looking around at all the pieces and started to see some cool, cute things. I picked out a piece. The lady came over to help and she was very informative.

She had to go help someone else because I was taking my sweet time trying to decide between stones. But once I decided on the stone she was busy so another girl came over. This girl was not very helpful. Seemed like she was just there to pass time. As if she was waiting for her ride but stopped in the store to wait for it. The second time I visited this shop, the same not so helpful girl was there.

She did not greet but I wasn't there for myself so I didn't care that much. But when I approached the counter she was at, she had her head down working on something. She didn't bother looking up at me. I stood there waiting for her to notice. She still hasn't. I'm thinking, "am I spirit? Did I pass on?" I'm standing right in front of you. It wasn't until another employee (man) noticed and said something. The items are neat but customer service is lacking. Plus I think it's a $10 minimum to use card.

I love this store so much. I moved to San Diego and wish so badly I could find something here that compares to Maya

Good selection of jewellery indeed, I have been there 3 times during my travels and I could mostly find what I was after. If not the exact thing, then something adjacent. Unfortunately, never again though. as after a 140 dollar purchase, the lady thought appropriate to also charge me the 1.5 dollars for the 3 feet of black string that she equiped a neck cross with (which had no string before). Which I think is kinda pathetic.

Not very nice cashier. She acted like she wanted me to leave the entire time and responded with a lot of one word answers, sounding annoyed. She made me feel stupid and unwanted. Would return if she weren't there.

Love Maya on Melrose. A fabulous place to find chains made of sterling silver, bracelets, pendants, charms, unique pieces that you wear over and over again. I love the sterling silver rings! They have rings for men and for women! They also have masks. If you have guests in from out of town I would take him to this is very unique shop. Worth the drive down and worth finding parking. You will not be disappointed! Lots of eye candy!

I have been going to Maya for over 20 years and the owner is still there looking the same. This is my go to place for nose rings, the long stemmed, no bone, tiny silver ball (which isn't in, but its classic and hard to find). They have so much stuff from all over its hard to really find a gem. I LOVE their ear rings. I do have to do research when i plan on buying something there with certain designs. many item are spiritually influenced and Im not trying to bring unwanted spirits in my house or on my body. That's just me. The items on their website doesn't reflect 1/2 of what they have inside the store. Lots of items brought from all over the globe. I hope they never close.

BEEN GOING 2 MAYA'S FOR OVER 20 PLUS YEARS. ESPECIALLY WHEN I WANT A UNIQUE DEZIGN AT AN AFFORTABLE PRICE. PURCHASED 2 STERLING SILVER RINGS & A PAIR OF STUDDED EARRINGS AND PAID LESS THAN 50 BUCKS FOR ALL AS WELL AS, WALKED OUT THE DOOR W/ JEWELRY ON.

I just got done shopping for, yep, you guessed it, the right necklace! For once! I also picked up a cute little charm bracelet with a sequin pattern and gold inlaid rose filigree at half off, and matching diamond earrings! They have so many cool items and the owner and her dog are neat and fun to play with! I saw a ton of interesting masks, gems and exotic items like a witch doctors mask too!

Shitty customer service. The rep was too lazy to leave behind the cash register to help. Beautiful pieces tho I was just too turned off to purchase something.

Both times I've visited this store, I was immediately greeted by a smiling clerk. This is by far my favorite store to shop. From the giant spiders on the wall, to the wide selection of vampy necklaces, I just can't enough of this place. Thank you for the recommendations on my red stone gothic choker. This place was awesome! I'll be sure to stop by here more often when I'm in the area working. There is a big selection of jewelry, crystals and stones to choose from. The energy here is also welcoming and calming. I highly recommend this place.

I went back for a visit to L.A. and was so happy to see Maya is still around! I love you Maya, you make me shine years later. Maya has a great selection of all kinds of jewelry and assorted funky items. I have bought many fabulous silver rings in the past, and this time I bought a cool wooden bracelet and some bangles. Prices are very reasonable, and years later all my jewelry from there still looks great.

I still have every ring I ever bought here. My alltime favorite navel ring was purchased here. I still possess and occasionally use the silver slave bra. I adore the skeleton boxes I am sweet on the star lanterns I could get lost in the masks
