Got my necklace back today that I had dropped off before Christmas to be repaired. I guess I should be glad the finally texted. I thought it was gone. Let's hope I don't need it repaired ever again. I was told that they called in January. I guess their policy is to reach out every quarter until they get a response.

Mandy at Herzog (along with all the staff) were great during our process. She was extremely attentive to our needs and never pushed us in any way. She was extremely patient and worked with us every step of the way. Even more than her sales help, she was a delight to work with as a person. Herzog and their staff never disappoint.

After visiting 6 different jewelry stores in the Tri-state, I chose Herzog Jewelers because of their friendly & responsive customer service, they made the jewelry selection process easy and fun, they had a great selection, and they have a long legacy. Mandy was incredibly helpful at educating me on what to look for, helping me narrow down the options to something I was proud of, and coming up with creative solutions. I definitely look forward to working with her again in the future and referring her name to friends.

I've been dealing with Herzog for 25 years and Joe and Ted and Kelly have always taken very good care of me! From making sure that our wedding rings showed up in Maui in time for our wedding, to many beautiful gifts for events in our lives, Herzog is where my wife and I go when we want something special.

Replaced my wife's engagement ring that had been stolen to exact specifications that we previously had. Couldn't be happier with the personalized service from Ted and his team. You won't find a better local jeweler in Northern Kentucky. A special shout out to Mandy for delivering on exceptional service.

Ted and his staff at Herzog have always been very helpful and knowledgeable. They go above and beyond to help you and to make sure you are absolutely satisfied with your purchase. Our son had a great experience with choosing and designing an engagement ring for his girlfriend. No pressure, only wonderful advice! It's always a lot of fun as soon as you walk in the door! It's a very friendly atmosphere, and you won't be disappointed.

I highly recommend Herzog Jewelers. Was not very happy with my previous experiences with a couple of the local jewelry stores in our area. I was recommended by friends to this jewelry store and I wish I'd known about them forever ago. Best customer service I've ever had and the workmanship of their in-house jewelry repair and service is top notch.
I look forward to being a long life customer to Herzogs Jewelers. Ted thank you so much for an awesome experience and the awesome customer service. And thank you for the beautiful roses that me and my friend both received this weekend while visiting your store for some jewelry cleaning.

We had a wonderful experience shopping for my engagement ring at Herzog. The staff was helpful in store and prompt in sourcing stones based on our preferences and budget. They got my engagement ring set faster than expected, allowing my fiance to surprise me! I'm now back working with Kelly on my wedding band. She was helpful while I was browsing and prompt in getting me quotes for some changes I'd like to explore.

Herzog is a local jewelry store that I pass by almost every single day, so it was an obvious choice when I began my search for the perfect engagement ring. I had originally planned to visit many jewelry stores in one day and make the purchase. Herzog was the first store I went to since it was close to home and convenient. Upon arriving, I was greeted by Tara Michelle.
I was accompanied by my mother and with this being the largest and most important purchase I had made thus far in my life, Tara was exceptional at making us feel comfortable, relaxed and confident throughout the entire process. I showed her a few pictures of other rings I had gathered as examples and within seconds she handed me the most perfect ring I could have imagined purchasing.
She was tremendous in educating me on the grading of diamonds and after I told her my budget she was able to pair the ring I wanted with the perfect diamond and I instantly new I had found the ring. I mentioned I wouldn't be doing my due diligence if I didn't check out a couple other places to make myself feel confident in my purchase. She held the diamond for me while I went to a couple other places (another small jeweler and a large national jeweler).
Neither place could offer anything close to the quality, esthetic, and experience that Herzog and Tara provided me. I couldn't be happier with my decision and my purchase, especially with how substantial it was. Even more importantly, my now fiance is absolutely in love with her new ring! I highly recommend Herzog to everyone who is looking for quality jewelry and a family oriented atmosphere. It is safe to say I have found my jeweler for life. Thank you Herzog Jewelers and thank you Tara Michelle!

My review is a little late. My experience with Herzog Jewelers was during March/April 2017 and I had the pleasure to deal with Ted Koester. I live in California and was searching for the perfect wedding ring. After visiting many local jewelry stores locally and not finding the perfect ring, I started the endless online search. I looked at 100's of pictures and contacted many out of my area jewelers but none seemed like it was going to be the right fit (no pun intended!) until I received a reply email from Ted. Ted worked with me to find the perfect ring for my husband.
I sent him pics of what I wanted (from online searching) and he was able to order the ring, take my payment over the phone, and ship me the ring within a few days of him receiving the ring after it was ordered. It was a pleasant experience from beginning to end. I would recommend Ted and Herzog Jewelers to anyone looking for fine jewelery.

I am so glad I found Herzog Jewelers when looking for my fiance's engagement ring! From the moment I walked in I was treated with the most friendly, professional, outstanding service I have ever experienced in the jewelry industry. Ted, Susan, and the rest of the fantastic staff are wonderful to work with; they take the time to ask the right questions and understand what you want, explain their process, satisfy any questions or concerns you may have, and work tirelessly to make sure you walk away with a final product that is better than you could have imagined.
This family-owned store, 3 generations old, is a much needed breath of fresh air in an otherwise crowded, high pressured jewelry sales industry. They really break the mold in every way and make the jewelry buying experience actually enjoyable. They truly listened to what we wanted, discussed practically and transparently how to make it work, and best of all, worked within our budget to give us a phenomenal deal on an engagement ring!
They created for us a custom-made, oval-shaped, double halo, 14K white gold engagement ring, then let me hand pick a center stone that was.20 ct. larger than what other stores were offering (and STILL within budget), AND shipped it tonight me within 10 days so that I could surprise my fiance during a trip to Nashville. They are the best in the business; exceptionally knowledgeable and dedicated to giving full attention to each unique situation. I guarantee you will not find a better jewelry store, run by such quality people, anywhere else the Northern Kentucky / Cincinnati / Tri-State area.

I know people reading reviews like a lot of detail but I will spare you the novel that is our experience with Herzog's and give you the short story version. We brought them a ring to repair. There was an issue with the repair that, while not their fault, they took full responsibility for including replacing a fairly pricy stone. Eventually we ended up "starting over", having them custom design a whole new ring.
The process was simple and the resulting piece is gorgeous. We had a small problem with the new ring the day after we got it and Ted drove to our house to pick it up and repair it for us the same day. You're not going to get that kind of service at the mall! We won't buy fine jewelry anywhere else ever again. Diamonds, stones and precious metals are rated so, in a way, all things are equal. It's really about the service and the quality of the craftsmanship. Herzog's is, hands down, one of the best.

Marcia W. They offered a great looking Valentines Infinity necklace on the internet and the price was perfect. Living in California, I purchased it a week in advance and to play it safe, I paid extra for 1-3 day shipping. A day later when I attempted to track the item, it did not show as being shipped. I contacted the store via email and a day later received a reply form Ted.
He informed me that that particular necklace was out of stock and he could send me pictures of alternative items that would fit my needs. Or he could put it on back order or merely instate a refund. Now it was 4 days left until Valentines day and I had to make a decision. Ted emailed me with a 4th possibility. He had located an earring that he could fashion into the same necklace in the add.
I encouraged him to proceed and was glad that I did. He hand delivered the overnight package to UPS and it arrived with two days to spare. It was nothing less than amazing to open the package and discover the care that had been taken. Extra padding, a larger box to keep the smaller box safe. The necklace itself was even better than the actual add picture.
I treasure it now because of the history behind it and knowing that it is a one of a kind possession. He even offered to pay for return shipping if I was not delighted. But I informed him that I hoped that he kissed it goodbye before he sent it, as it will never leave our home now. Ted went beyond his call of duty by devoting extra personalized time and effort to make sure that I was a 100% satisfied customer.
From what I recall, there were no fewer than 6 emails back and forth during this process. He is a kind honest man. And I must add, he did this without any threats or yelling form California. I am very delighted to recommend his Establishment to others.

I recently bought some items for my wife at Herzog Jewelers. I had a great experience with Susan and Ted. The entire staff is extremely friendly. They had a great selection in store, but as I spoke to Susan about what I was looking for she offered to get some other things sent to the store. To my surprise they were in the next day and she showed me several new options that were exactly what I was looking for.
I was most impressed by the honesty in both Susan and Ted. While they gave me several options, they didn't try to upsell me past what I was looking for. First class business with staff that works hard to get the customer the right selection and interested in making a positive experience even after the sale.

I met Ted from Herzog Jewlers at the Wendy's Bridal Show. This connection was one of a few that made the event a true 'win' for me. I have a family heirloom engagement ring; it belonged to my great-grandmother and is about 85 years old. While the vintage style of the ring is coming back into vogue, the rounded edges and filigree detail appears to be hard to match with a wedding band.
I wouldn't really mind not having a wedding band at all (who needs tradition), but as evolution (er.diet and lifestyle) go, this ring had to be resized to fit me. Accordingly, the back is thin and would ultimately benefit from soldering with a more substantial band. So. I am in the search for a band. Yeah, tradition! The person who I originally consulted about a close (-r, -ish) fitting band dismissed my request for a custom wax and pour as "too expensive and not really possible".
He tried to sell me a band that was made custom for another setting, but despite his claim that it would "look right once resized" I knew this was not likely and there would always be a gap. Other solutions were creative, but also a bit unconvincing in the outcome (put two bands on either side and 'create' an intentional gap, embrace the disconnect, get a wide band and have it fall under, etc).
I was a little bit defeated (and in denial that I'd eventually have to deal with this detail) by the time I arrived at Herzog's booth at the bridal show. At this point I figured I could a. have a short internal sulk about my 'dilemma' or b. I could ask this nice looking man what he thought might work. Immediately Ted complimented the ring and thought it would be manageable, possible, and economical to go the custom route.
Well played and my spirits lifted. I had previously been quoted upwards of $1200, at a minimum, for a solid band to fit (those pesky metal prices), but Ted offered an educated guesstimate under this mark by a decent amount, with customization and detail I had hoped for. He also said stones would be a distraction. This man was speaking my language (and didn't appear to be upselling at every encounter.something I much appreciate in the jewelry business).
I was excited, I have to admit. After our initial meeting, our email communication about this process have been expedient and pleasant. Yesterday we went in to meet with him, get some picture of the ring, and he will soon have the artist/jeweler send me a drawing and then a picture of the mold to comment on and approve. Throughout the process he has offered his preferences and experience, but always said we could explore other options if that wasn't what I was hoping for.
I can't wait to take a peak at this drawing and to have a band that compliments and fits my ring. I don't mean for my review to be heavy on only one person and ignore the business as a whole, but as one person does reflect the ethos and experience of the business, I think this is acceptable. It's also all I have to offer at this point, though I hope to learn more about the rest of the crew there as I look forward to doing more business with Herzog.
To round this out and get to the core of what the experience might be like for others, I'm going to quote their website, "Since 1922, Herzog Jewelers has provided customers with unmatched jewelry selection and exceptional value. As a family-owned business with three generations of jewelry experience, we pride ourselves in building close, lasting relationships with our clients.
As a Registered Jeweler with the American Gem Society (AGS), Herzog Jewelers represents a standard of excellence unparalleled in the Greater Cincinnati area. Stop in our store and experience for yourself what it means to be a Herzog customer." I think this is accurate and if you have jewelry needs, you should really check this wonderful shop out. I'd say ask for Ted, but I bet you'd be happy no matter who was helping you. The store has a comfortable, friendly vibe, and beautiful jewelery without uppity, pretentious flair. Win!
