In 1944 my grandfather opened the Carl Granger & Sons, and became well known Cincinnati jewelers near the Findley Market area. My father worked as a watchmaker under my grandfather's training. In 1959 my father opened Marshall Granger Jewelers in Fort Thomas, Kentucky. In 1976, I purchased the store from my mother after my father's untimely death.
Your jewelry is meant to be worn for a lifetime. Too often, favorite pieces end up in a drawer - broken, tarnished, dated in style or missing parts. With over six decades of experience, our team of artisans are trusted by area families and other jewelers alike for unmatched repairs, inspirational redesign and new settings that will truly impress.
Today, insurance companies require specific and detailed information in assessing gem value. Appraisals from just a few years ago, also may be very different today. This can affect your insurance premiums. Our process is precise, efficient and done in our facility. Your jewelry will be appraised correctly, include proper documents and photos of each item.

I went to purchase some diamond earrings for my wife, she wanted to upgrade what she had. I was told that they had some great prices and this was a great time to buy. I pulled out the earrings I had smuggled out of the house and showed them to them as I wanted to make sure I was upgrading, yes that means bigger diamonds. I was shown several several pairs or earrings, asked questions and was given prices.
We landed on a pair and the price was $x, 172. I then asked how much the earrings I brought in were worth on trade. The salesman had to ask Marshall, so off he went. He returned after probably 10 minutes and told the price was $x, 000 and they would give me $500 for the earrings I brought in. The math doesn't add up I said, I am not getting $500 for the earrings, I am getting $172.
He said he gave me the wrong price initially. Her had used the same percentage off on all the earrings I looked at so I know that wasn't true. I told him I felt like I was buying a car, where the prices change, gathered my earrings and left. Nope, I won't make another purchase their again.

I am a client of Marshall Granger Jewelers for many years. Everyone in the store is upbeat and knowledgable. I've purchased many beautiful jewelry pieces over the years for myself and others. It's an exceptional store, owned by an exceptional person, and employed by exceptional people! I guess one could referred to me as a Marshall Lifer. Ask for Tom!

I hate to be the girl to write a bad review. I never like putting negative words out into the universe-- especially for a Mom and Pop business. But I must say, my last couple of experiences with Marshall Granger Jewelers has been overwhelmingly disappointing. I've been going to them with my business for 3 years now. And this will be the end. They've got a 50% success rate at getting your items right.
Last year, I purchased a really cool flask for my dad and took it to them to get engraved with his favorite quote. I picked it up a couple days before Christmas and they freaking spelled a word wrong. So I had to give my dad an empty box with the PICTURE of what it would be until they sent me the new one. THEN, this Christmas, I surprised my mom with repairing an antique ring for her.
When I took it in, they were gonna replace the missing jewel along with the prongs. I picked it up, gave it to my mom for Christmas and 2 days later the jewel fell out. (No big deal, accidents happen). So I took it back. Told Tom and another lady, and they basically blamed me, the customer. Said I would have to pay another $150 because "they didn't realize I wanted to replace the prongs".
They blew it off and, all but said, it was my fault. PLEASE TELL ME WHY I WOULD PAY TO HAVE A STONE REPLACED AND NOT THE PRONGS?! I could not BELIEVE the audacity of these people to point fingers at ME when it's their LACKLUSTER craftsmanship. NEVER again. I was so furious and disappointed at the service that I don't even know where to begin. And I will be SURE to tell anyone who asks me in the NKY for a jeweler NOT to go here. Word of mouth goes a long way.
