This Spring I found two silver rings I forgot were in my drawer. I wanted to wear them again but they no longer fit. I remembered Paolo on Ludlow in Cincinnati, and that I had always meant to go in. I took my rings to them and they resized them, polished them, and restored the antiquing. They were beautiful. I took them home but over a week I realized my swelling fingers made them too tight. Paolo had me bring them back and they resized them again at no extra charge. They fit properly now and they were finished again to look like new. I highly recommend their work. I could not be happier.

Back in November 2021 my husband surprised me with an auction item for a Date Night package from Paolo, A Modern Jeweler, that included a $500 credit toward an item or a service, a yellow canary diamond necklace, and a $100 gift card to Prime Steakhouse downtown! Our Date Night was so much fun! We arrived to Paolo's shop a few hours before our dinner reservation time and he walked us around the whole store and showed us every piece of jewelry that he had in stock, which was pretty cool!

Then we sat and looked through different pieces of jewelry I brought to see what could either be reimagined or created into a brand new/unique piece! We ultimately decided to have a gem stone that my father-in-law gave me set into a ring! I was a little skeptical of how this was going to be done because the stone is such a unique shape but Paolo assured me that his fabricator is the best!

We picked up my ring today and let me tell you what, Paolo was NOT lying! My new ring is GORGEOUS! The basket is completely hand made by his fabricator and we had it soldered onto a ring that I found at the store from Paolo's estate ring collection. I literally couldn't be happier about it and will absolutely be using Paolo again for our future jewelry purchases! Thank you, Paolo, for taking such a special gift to me and turning it into something even more special that I'll be able to pass along to our daughter in the future.

Working with Paolo and Brett was such a lovely experience! They were personable, professional and communicated with us throughout the whole design process. They designed my wedding band exactly how I wanted it and were so helpful along the way. We will definitely be back!

I was in need of a quick repair of a piece yesterday, so I called Paolo and he was able to get me in on short notice. Paolo and his team were extremely friendly, quick and accommodating. Yesterday was my first time going to the studio and it was super easy to find because it is in a very safe and nice location on Ludlow. I loved the atmosphere. It was clean, well-organized, and everyone was masked, which I really appreciate. Thank you for your great work! I cannot wait to come back!

I don't normally write reviews.however i just had to take the time to let everyone know the AMAZING experience I had at "Paolo A Modern Jeweler".Paolo and his team are very respectful and truly dedicated to what they do.their work is truly breathtaking! I had spoke with several places before i found Paolo.and my gut told me that he was who i needed to put my trust in for this project!

I had 2 engagement rings that needed sized before Valentines day.mine and my fiancee's.hers of course was a Valentines day secret! She thought i was just looking for a jeweler to get mine sized because it was a little to big and that's what i wanted for Valentine's day.little did she know i had finally found the perfect ring for her.but it was a little to small.and i needed it to be able to fit on her finger when i proposed! Paolo and his team was more than happy to help me the very same day so that i would have the ring ready in time for the big day!

I felt completely safe and comfortable with them the whole time.of course their pricing differs for everything just like anyone.but the price for my project was definitely affordable and only took about an hour to complete! I had an incredible experience at Paolo. I had a really sentimental ring that I wanted to give as a Christmas gift, but it broke just a couple days before. Paolo offered for me to come in and he fixed right on the spot on Christmas Eve. I have never experienced such wonderful and personable service, and the repair work was excellent. The ring itself was a bit of an oddball, so I wasn't sure if they were going to be able to fix it, but they did beyond that. Especially thankful for Paolo this holiday season.

I had the most incredible experience at Paolo A Modern Jeweler. Immediately after proposing to my fiance with my grandmother's engagement ring, we needed to have it resized to fit. Despite showing up at 4:00 with no appointment, they not only resized the ring, but also repaired two missing prongs and polished the stone. The experience was simply fantastic, and I cannot recommend their services enough!

Paolo and his team offer an experience like no other! I had a few pieces of sentimental jewelry with a few stones gifted to me, all of which sat idle in my jewelry box for 20 yrs. Paolo turned a very antique and inoperative gold watch into a STUNNING pendant and fabulous earrings (with the band). Never have seen anything like it! I was in need of a quick repair and Paolo did not disappoint! I chatted with him through his website to see if he could do the repair I needed. He responded quickly and efficiently and of course it was a repair they could handle : They were able to do the repair the same day, which I was very grateful for! I was in and out in less than 20 minutes and it made for a great last minute birthday surprise for my husband.

Paulo worked with me to create a beautiful lavender sapphire necklace and matching earrings set. I started with a concept of what I wanted and Paulo presented options that allowed me to finalize a design that my wife truly loves! The quality and look of the sapphires created a very elegant appearance.

Paolo made wonderful jewelry for me. We won his date night at an auction and he not only had us at his studio for a private session, he also put us up for a night at Hotel Covington, paid for two separate dinners for us and pick us up in his Tesla. He also brought my final pieces of jewelry to me at my house so I wouldn't have to go to his boutique with Covid.

This place is amazing, not only their work, but their dedication and passion for their customers. I worked directly with Paolo to replace an almost impossible piece to replace. He personally engraved a very special pendant with a 24 hour turnaround time. He even delivered it directly to my house when it was ready. He kept me in the loop with everything and made everything so easy and special for my boyfriend and I. We meet Paolo as the result of winning a "Date Night" at a charity event. We were treated royally from the moment we talked to Paolo on the phone to set up details for the evening. Once we actually met him, we knew he would be our only jeweler. Paolo and his team designed custom signet rings for us as well as our wedding bands. From the education process, to design selection, and delivery, Paolo and staff were 1st class A #1. We have worked with Paolo for the past 10 years and I don't trust any other jeweler to help design what we want is much as I do Paolo. We sat down and created a custom wedding band to match my wife's engagement ring, and my wedding band turned out wonderfully. It's a mix of brushed and polished platinum. They're always innovative and have classic/neuvo designs.

I would highly recommend them, especially if you would like a custom designed piece. Even if you do not, they have tons of unique pieces on display for purchase as well. It truly is a unique establishment.

Next door and actually connected to Tink's Cafe (you can walk back and forth from inside) is a high quality modern jeweler called Paolo. Paolo is run by owner and lead designer Paolo Salamone and, according to its website, was formed in 1992. Their showroom is very spacious (see photo), thanks to its second specialty in modern interior space design for home, office, and business space.

As far as their jewelry goes, it is unique and classy, but of course expensive. My friend who I was with was handed a business card/$25 gift card, which pretty much shows their price level. You don't go handing out $25 gift cards unless your stuff is expensive. Either way, it is high quality jewelry, so I guess you get what you pay for. I noticed a sign in the store that said they were the number one place around for wedding rings, which is probably what their website is referring to when it says "Best of City - Cincinnati Magazine." I also noticed a small selection of watches, in addition to the traditional jewelry. Overall, Paolo is a very good store with top of the line modern jewelry, "including platinum, 18k colored gold, diamond and gemstone jewelry." The employee who greeted/attended to us was extremely nice too.

How do these tchotschkerias stay in business? Paolo featured ultramodern gizmo's like clocks, and pens, and mobiles, and business card cases, and carafes, and lamps, and so forth. To me it was a cut-rate Atys, which is a much better example of the breed.
