My second visit here, and each experience was so rewarding. Who would imagine that all of the small pieces of gold and silver jewelry that was sitting in my jewelry box forever would yield such a nice price? Don't forget, how often do we lose one earring and store the unused one along with all of the others? Old silver, antique and estate pieces, as well as old coins and bullion. Their prices are fair, and they are delightful to do business with. A trip well worth it! Do get up there soon!

I love Maine Gold & Silver and highly recommend this place to anyone looking to buy or sell jewelry or a coin collection. Their staff are incredibly nice, knowledgeable and helpful! Prices are also reasonable too. Stop in, say hi and check out all the cool things they have for sale.

DO NOT TRUST THEM! I took a ring that was appraised for $8,000 by New England Gem Appraisals and they suggested it was worth $400. Steer very clear. Or make sure you have all your documentation before trying to sell, because they are obviously untrustworthy. Update: sold the ring for $7,200! $6800 more than they suggested its value. What a bogus company.

Went in here with some cash to buy some silver, nobody spoke to me for 3-4 minutes which is understandable as they were busy. My issue is that instead of being greeted or asked what I was in for, or how long the wait would be I was instead told to put on a mask. Apparently pushing a political agenda is more important to these folks than making sales.

After losing the diamond in my wedding ring last year, I finally made to move to have the repair done. Jeffrey Caron and the team at Maine Gold & Silver came through, replacing the diamond, doing rhodium plating, fixing the prongs on the main setting as well as on the smaller two diamonds within a week all for under $500 and the ring looks more beautiful than the day it was given to me! Plus, Jeffrey and the staff dealt with my emotional outburst after seeing the ring for the first time.

They accepted my apology with professionalism, dignity and grace. I am truly happy with the results, am so appreciative of the quality of work and will never go anywhere else for repairs and purchases. (Jeffrey also taught me that what people might think is part of the original setting might be more of a biology lesson, if you will. You're welcome.)

Very rude employees. Won't even look at jewelry I took inside before saying it's fake.

They still MANDATE MASKS at their STORE! But not only they require MASKS, they have the WORST ATTITUDE about it.sales associate had guts to tell us: you don't put mask in, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Guess what, there are many places I can spend my money at.

So 2nd time in this shop what a rip off offered 40 bucks for an xf bust half with doubling stay away worst company in maine wants everything for nothing buyer beware and sellers and also just an fyi the 42 over 41 dime was taken out of an acc coin grading holder graded as a fine 12 42 over 41 d this shows to me how dishonest this guy is that grades or checks there coins for them as I would say if you don't like your job get a new one.

Great people that treat you like family. They always have a smile and they always have better prices than online or other precious metals dealers. They're my go to when I need to buy/add some precious metals/bullion to my stack. The best LCS(local coin shop) around and I have to drive 45 minutes to get there and it's always worth the trip.

People have always been attentive and helpful. Not trying to push you to buy because they are always kind of busy! Have yet to sell anything to them but the knowledge they have on precious metals, coins and jewelry is incredible. They also have a great selection of not just jewelry but all sorts of coins and bullion for investors. Not the largest selection of coins but they are all valuable!

I feel like many stores of this nature tend to get a bad rap for being shady or less than honorable with their transactions. I went to Maine Gold & Silver a few years ago as part of a liquidation of an estate that I was handling. The staff here were great to work with and offered very fair prices on the jewelry that I was selling. I would not hesitate to go here again.
