I do recommend this jeweler. I don't know jewelry prices. What I can say is they had a wide selection of rings (settings) and diamonds. The other place I visited had a VERY all selection. The sales person helping is was friendly and knowledgeable. However, she was just a BIT pushy toward the end when it was not clear that she would have a sale that day.

On a scale of 1-10 where 10 is annoying pushy to the point of just walking out, she was at a 2. Words to the wise, whatever you think a diamond ring costs, double it and bring your credit card(s).

I wanted to treat myself for Mother's Day and I got to do just that! I drove 1hr 40mins (side roads) from SW Philly on Thursday only to arrive at closing. I went back on Friday & got an Extra 15% Off! GOD KNEW there was a $2575 Savings in store for me! The Saleslady was so pleasant & patient with me. I got 4 Rings 1 Bracelet & a Necklace to replace my 32yr old Necklace I wear a Star on! I Am So Satisfied. At 62 years old THIS WAS MY DEAL OF A LIFETIME!

Very very sad to learn of your closing. This was a fantastic store with a great selection of jewelry and where my husband and I bought our wedding rings. Mark I'll miss you all.

All I can say is if you are looking for quality gemstones at a reasonable price, now is the time to shop. Robbins is going out of business. It saddens me greatly and I hate to see them go. I pray for prosperous and God's favor in the lives of each worker.

Great Place to do business with. Bought our rings from them 33 yrs ago and they honored the warranty for some repairs. My kids have all used them and were very happy. Nice family business

We had a great experience at Robbins. We got a very nice diamond at a very nice price. Hillary was an excellent sales person. She was very patient and showed us about a dozen diamonds before we settled on one. I highly recommend them of your in the market for a diamond

The plus they have a large selection of jewelry in self service cases that you can try on without constant assistance of the sales person. However, the negative is all of the self service jewelry is not precious metals or stones - so you don't get a true representation of what you are looking at. It's close but not the same as looking at real gold and diamonds.

And they need to order your ring from the manufacturer and then set the stones. This can take several weeks. Pricing is about the same as other stores - I don't think they are overpriced nor are you getting any steals. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful.

It was nice to not feel the typical pressure associated with jewelry stores. We worked with Hannah who was quite knowledgeable and easy going. Also honest.

Husband had a great experience when he picked my engagement ring. We decided to go back to purchase our wedding bands too. Everyone was very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful without hovering. We will suggest to anyone looking for bands or even a simple gift. They truly seemed to care about what the person likes rather than upselling us

My experience was phenomenal! After a very brief visit to Zales earlier in the year, I thought I had found my ring. However, after reading some negative reviews, I started to question the authenticity of the ring. Someone recommended that I try Robbins and I am so happy I did. My experience was phenomenal. We were greeted by a women named Hilary who helped us every step of the way.

We told her what kind of ring we were looking for and she was very attentive to the style and price. I mostly enjoyed looking at diamonds under the microscope and found the rock and ended up with a beautiful stone that was much better then what I originally picked at Zales. We did go up in price but for what I have, it's well worth it.

This place is a complete joke! The owner is arrogant and rude. They must be going under, I have never left a store feeling so angry and disposable after driving an hour. I took my business elsewhere and am beyond happy with my purchase. Save yourself a trip, terrible!

Wonderful experience at Robbins! Spur of the moment decision to go there but will be our first stop in the future! Alice and Linda were so kind, through and patient while we picked out a ring for our 30th wedding anniversary. We decided on a beautiful eternity band with diamonds and couldn't be happier with the ring and the service. What a pleasure to do business with folks that made us feel special! Great experience! Thanks again to Alice and Linda!

Amazing selection of jewlery, Alli was helping us and she made everything a fun and enjoyable experience. The best part is they are a family owned local business and they treat you like family.

I recently had a great experience buying an engagement ring with Robbins. My fiance wanted to be surprised, so I couldn't ask her about her ring preferences, but the staff at Robbins helped me find a perfect ring anyway. It helped to be able to browse their prototype rings--you can just walk right behind the counter and try them on!--which is something you won't get at Zales or Jared.

The big jewelry stores try to steer you to buy as many rocks as possible, but Robbins will actually listen to you if you say you're interested in a solitaire. The staff were super helpful, friendly, and accommodating. When we needed to rush the resizing of the ring since my fiance was leaving the country, they didn't complain about it one bit. I really do recommend them for getting an engagement ring--and avoiding paying sales tax doesn't hurt!

Came form ny to purchase wedding bands Staff were friendly to work with. They weren't pushy at all to sell more pricier merchandise. Prices were great! No tax. Fed will go back for our anniversary bands!

Called before coming in to schedule appointment. Customer service rep who spoke broken English said just come in a service rep will help you. Get there store is over crowded and under staffed on a Sunday. Patiently waited until someone was finished. Asked the woman for help she said give me a minute and I will be right back. She finally gets finished and goes on to help someone else? Unbelievable!

Ask manager to be helped all whopping 3 service people are busy. I previously went and had everything narrowed down wanted to close the deal but left after 30 minutes of not being helped. 3 people working on what is probably one of the busiest days. Forget saving sales tax took the 1 hour drive down to leave unhappy and with no interaction.

Girlfriend and I went here a few days ago looking for an engagement ring. We were happily greeted right upon entering and when we told the lady what we were looking for she showed us where their rings were and said she'd send someone over to help. A few moments later a man walked up and happily introduced himself as Mark. Mark was awesome. My g/f showed him a picture of the type of ring she would like and Mark didn't hesitate to show her/ us many many rings she may like. Now, my g/f is very particular too, so she didn't like this band or that whatever, and Mark totally understood.

He was extremely patient with us, and only wanted us to walk away happy with what we chose. We were there a little over an hour or so I believe and eventually found the perfect band and diamond all thanks to Mark. I cannot wait to pick it up when it's ready. Overall an amazing experience here, and I'm very happy we chose to check them out despite it being a bit of a drive. 100% worth it.

Shopping for an engagement ring was an overwhelmingly significant task - and I typically handle stress well. However I found that shopping for the perfect ring at MALL jewelry stores felt so impersonal and staff is typically undereducated and very judgmental (of price, and my budget was NOT low whatsoever).all the while putting you in high pressure sales situations.

Not for me. I almost gave up hope and accept that I'd have to buy a piece of overpriced, flawed junk at Kay or Jared.but I read reviews on Yelp and figured I'd try my luck at Robbins Diamonds. With my guard up, I met Hillary, my diamond expert. She was an amazing salesperson. I gave her my price range and she, very non-judgmentally explained the settings I could get for my money and (c'mon I'm a guy) how big I could go for a diamond.in a FUN way.

I wanted a cushion shaped halo with a round center stone at least a carat. I found the perfect setting in their cool prototype case and when I found the stone I loved, she explained the process it went through, the flaws inside and why it was the price it was. My stomach was in knots and she talked me off the ledge and told me I didn't have to buy it today if I didn't feel comfortable!

Nobody at the mall would ever say that! She genuinely cared about my buying decision. The ring I designed was too perfect, and even though I exceeded my price range "a tad" I didn't feel bad about it at all. I was getting a ridiculous deal for this (CUSTOM) ring compared to other stores and I ordered it that day. They told me it'd take 4-6 weeks to be made and it barely took 3.5.

Long story short (too late) I bought my fiance the engagement ring of her dreams, I know every single diamond contained in it, and I can say that it was custom made to my exact specifications. Buying the ring from Hillary and Robbins Diamonds literally set the tempo for my confidence from the time I bought it, to the day I asked my beautiful bride-to-be to marry me. Thank you Hillary! Will be back to shop for our wedding bands!

Purchased my engagement ring and wedding band here 13 years ago. Even though we live in NYC, I still come here for cleaning and repairs because of a poor experience I had w NYC jeweler. I would rather go where I feel taken care of and where I feel I can trust the expertise and customer service.

My husband bought my engagement ring some years ago at robbins northeast phila. I had to have it repaired twice. Each time the mount separated from the band. I was lucky both times. I fear having it fixed again. I may not be so lucky next time to find the diamond. When I called the manager at the delaware store he told me it was a Fredrick goldman ring.

I called the company personally. They asked me to send the defective ring to them. It was sent back with a note saying it wasn't one of their rings. Was I lied to? Now time has passed and I am still left without a ring. Good money was spent and poor quality is what I received. I went specifically to robbins for their reputation. Now I am left with no ring. And the only store still open is in delaware! I wonder why.

After a month of searching for engagement ring settings for the diamond my fiance proposed to me with, we found ourselves at Robbins. They have open cases with prototype rings so you can try on as many as you like (I had fun with that). Linda helped me select a few rings after I told her what I like and it was down to two different settings. She sat down with me for awhile, checking my ring size, going over information, and giving me pretty good advice.

I told her we would be in touch. My fiance and I agreed on the perfect ring that night so he went back alone the next day to meet with Linda again. He said she sat with him for 3 hours giving him all sorts of information on jewelry and diamonds. He said he left feeling confident and knowledgeable. I imagine many people are nervous going in, so this is a major plus.

A few weeks later my ring arrived and I couldn't be more thrilled with the end product. It took us awhile to find the right ring for me, but it was worth the wait. Everyone at Robbins was very friendly and helpful and I highly recommend going if you are looking for jewelry. We will be back to get our wedding bands here and I recommend it to other friends and family looking for a jeweler.

Went there for my fiancee's engagement ring and met the guy Evan G. who works there. I was already used to going to a few ring shops in Philly so I had my guard up a bit when we first got there. Too many sleazy salesmen with obvious agendas to get me to spend as much money as possible. Evan let us do our thing, was there if we had any questions.

My girlfriend found the ring she liked then I talked with him about the diamond. I wasn't expecting to buy right then but the experience just went so well that I knew it was meant to be, plus he worked out a great deal for me too. It was really the experience I was looking for, I could have easily bought her ring from plenty of other shops, this place had the service I could appreciate. Thanks again Evan.

Bought my (then) fiancee's engagement ring there in 2001 and was very happy with the level of service. They listened to what we wanted - our priorities as far as size, cut, clarity, etc., and helped us find the perfect stone, setting and ring. On our first visit we weren't happy with any of the stones. They told us they'd call their other stores and see if there were any to meet our spec.

Sure enough, we got a call a week later that they had found one for us and when we went down to take a look they were right - it was exactly what we wanted. In context of the other shopping we did at other vendors, I think that we we got the product (1 engagement and 2 wedding rings) at a fair price.
