Bob is amazing. He is the owner there and he treats you like family. He made my girlfriend and I feel so comfortable. Never pushing you to spend more, just wanting you to be happy. Can't beat the service and the quality of his rings.

Poor customer service. When they make a mistake they don't cover it or fix it on their behalf. Overcharged items.

No pressure, patient, friendly. Interesting selection of new & pre-owned items. Also work true miracles in repair work. I recommend A++++!

We had a great experience finding a wedding band that compliments my engagement ring. The staff is so lovely, down to earth and clearly vey experienced in helping customers find what they looking for in a band. John has been in the business for over 40 years and he gave us helpful candid input on the trade offs between using our own stones versus purchasing one of their rings. We felt zero pressure to make a purchase, learned a lot about diamonds, and really enjoyed our experience!

The worst. My boyfriend ordered my engagement ring 7 weeks ago. We were told it would be ready in 2 weeks. Now getting told that it's in Italy. Why is a jeweler sending stuff to Italy to be made? Will NEVER buy from this jeweler again.

Amoroso jewelers is outstanding. I pitched my wife's engagement ring, wedding bands from them and had nothing but positive experiences. When I was looking for engagement rings I had the ideal ring in mind that I couldn't find anywhere. The amoroso brothers worked with me to custom make the ring all while I was away for work. I would recommend them to anyone seeking the highest level of professionalism and quality. Definite 5 stars!

I have been going to Bob and the entire team for many years, and they are honest, forthright and helpful every step of the way. I came across Amoroso Jewelers while looking for an engagement ring for my wife and ended up having a great experience purchasing that ring, her wedding band and my wedding band, back in 2011. Although we moved a few hours from Boston I recently went back to Amoroso for another purchase. I worked with both John and Bob and their service and dedication to detail was evident throughout the process each time. I truly appreciate their efforts, patience, and professionalism. When i first started shopping for my wife's engagement ring, i looked everywhere. I went to many of the big name stores, and was also seriously considering an online purchase. A friend of mine referred me to Amorosos. So I went there and talked to John and Bob. I was very impressed by their knowledge. They knew a lot more than than the people I had talked to at some other stores.

I liked that they were very helpful and not pushy at all. I was pretty nervous picking out the perfect ring at that time and wanted to make sure i got a very nice, high quality piece. End result is that my wife absolutely loved it, and her friends compliment her on it all the time. Since then, I have bought other jewelry, and have always been happy with their service, quality, and value. My friends that have gone there were also very happy as well.

I wrote a review of Amoroso several years ago, but it was removed in error. My husband purchased my engagement ring there, and we purchased our wedding bands there along with a pair of cuff links for my husband. Amoroso did a great job of turning my grandmother's engagement ring into an engagement ring and pair of earrings for me. The customer service was great. They really helped me sort out the pros and cons of white gold versus platinum for example. They were always friendly and happy to accommodate me. I highly recommend them!

I can't recommend Amoroso highly enough. It is staffed by true, certified experts who are willing to take the time to help you get exactly what you want, or at least as close as possible within your budget. I designed and bought my wife a diamond necklace here, and they helped my choose a stone, setting and chain, which they even cut to a weird length on request.

They were willing to let me say "thanks but no thanks" if I didn't like the final result. They had it ready the next day, and when my wife and I decided that it should be yellow gold instead of white, they redid all the work, again in a day, at no charge. Both times the work was immaculate. Amoroso really does provide the kind of expert service and willingness to forsake small charges in the hope of building a true clientele that is increasingly rare these days. If you want to get exactly the jewelry you want and feel good about it too, then this is the place for you.

I bought my fiance her engagement ring working through Bob. He was wonderful to work with. The final product looks amazing. I am so glad I listened to Bob's advice throughout the process. He really helped me get the most value for my money. My fiance and I are incredibly happy with the ring. We picked a beautiful and unique setting that Bob had, which they re-made for us in the correct size.

They went to great lengths to make sure the final product was exactly as we wanted. Bob worked with me patiently over the course of several months, never pressuring me to move. I would warn that if you are going to have something custom made it is always a good idea to give yourself plenty of time. When my co-worker heard about what a great experience I had, he came along with me and ended up buying an engagement ring from Amoroso's the next week.

They really have the best combination of value and service around. I highly recommend you stop in to take a look at what they can offer- you won't regret it! They were extremely friendly, and listened carefully to what I wanted and advised me thoroughly and realistically about what was possible. The price they gave me was by far the best from all the stores I went to, and the quality is excellent.

I am really fussy when it comes to jewelry and I have an exact idea in mind, but they went about the job with great care and showed it to me at all the stages of it's development, so that I could tell them exactly how I wanted it. I purchased my fiance's engagement ring at Amoroso. I highly recommend them and would buy a ring there over any other jeweler in the area. I first stopped by Barmakian and they would only show me one diamond at a time. They just weren't as friendly and knowledgeable as the staff at Amoroso. I priced the ring at a few places at Amoroso had the best deal. They have been in business forever and from the moment you step in there, you know you can trust them.

Prior to purchasing an engagement ringfor my fiance, I shopped at numerous locations, ranging from chain stores in the malls to exchanges in the Naples, FL area. Basically that runs the gamut of the engagement ring-buying experience. I cannot say enough about this store. I worked directly with the owner, Bob Amoroso. I already knew a great deal about diamonds and about settings, which is an advantage.

Before buying, learn some of the terms regarding settings, and obviously learn about diamonds. Knowing this information helps you pick out a ring which your girl might want, and also avoids you getting innundated with rings that you don't really want to look at. Bob and I looked at cut diamonds first, and he selected several in my price range that had the attributes I was specifically looking for.

Then the tough part, there were literally hundreds of settings. I couldn't pick one.so we designed one out of the pieces of other rings that I liked. Three weeks go by, I call them up, I go in and look at it. Unbelieveable. She said yes, and we took some pictures of the ring with a 4-year-old digital camera in black and white.no special lenses or anything.

People see these pictures and ask where the ring is from, who made it, how big the diamond is, etc. I love to say that I designed it. If you don't believe me, I proposed to her at a little Italian restaurant in Cambridge, MA called Carlo's Cucina Italiana. If you Facebook them and look at their news reel around 1/7/2010, there will be a picture of us.the ring is visible in the pic (very small), but it's the comments about people who were there who we didn't even know about how beautiful the ring was. I recently purchased an engagement ring from Bob at Amoroso Jewelers and they were AMAZING. I had been searching for a long time and had yet to find a ring that caught my eye. I discussed my frustrations with Bob and he told me about their ability to create custom designs. At this point Bob and I met several times going over the tiniest details regarding the ring.

The process included a 3D modeled printout of the ring and eventually a rough platinum mold to give me a better idea of how it would look. He was very informative and helpful in this process and we came up with exactly what I was looking for. Not only was Bob's willingness to collaborate with me appreciated, but his patience was as well. Obviously I was very nervous about buying the ring.

I probably went to his store two to three times a week to check in and ask questions. But Bob was always willing to answer my questions and assist me with any problems that I had. We will be going back to Bob to design our wedding bands and will definitely revisit Amoroso with any future jewelry purchases.

I met Bob today while starting to shop for THE RING. He is a salesman but that is his job and I don't knock him for that. I am in the research aspect of this process, but Amoroso is at the top of my list. Bob if you read this remember "No rings 09" I am going to continue my search but think I will probably end up here. Bob was a no pressure no nonsense kind of guy and I like that.

My boyfriend went to Amoroso's on a whim.it was our fourth store we visited that day as we were giving him an idea on what I might like for an engagment ring. I wish this was our first stop because it was the best service and the sales people were great! Unlike the other stores, John, our sales person was actually interested in what we had to say and took the time to explain about the rings, quality, that he could make a wax mold of a ring, and that if we didnt like anything, he would fix it until we were satisfied.

He also said every piece is custom made and made suggestions based on what we were looking for, and if he didnt have the exact setting to show, showed another similar ring, but then would say how it would be changed based off our ideas. My boyfriend was equally impressed and I've got a hunch he'll be going back to Amoroso's without me hovering over him!

Last July I went to the jeweler's building in Downtown Crossing to check out some jewelry stores. I was eloping in a few weeks and had originally bought my ring online from diamonds.com, but when it arrived it didn't look as nice as it did in the website so I returned it and decided to get something locally, since I was pressed for time.

The majority of the stores in the jeweler's building are locked, and you need to be buzzed in. I went to several different places, but all of them ignored me when I tried to get in. I ended up at Amoroso because they weren't busy and actually let me in to the store. The woman behind the counter was very pleasant, and showed me many different rings, but I didn't see anything like the ring I had in mind.

I mentioned to her the ring I had returned, and told her I wanted something like that, and she brought out one that was almost exactly what I wanted. The only problem was that it was curved, as it was meant to accentuate a solitaire, which my engagement ring is not. She told me that it was not a problem, they could make one as a straight band. My wedding was less than a month away at that point, and I asked if I would be able to get it in time.

She asked the other gentleman who was working how long it would take, and he looked at the job order, and said he could have it ready in 10 days. I asked if that was 10 business days, just to clarify, and he said no, that it was 10 calendar days. Awesome! I paid half for a deposit, and was told I would get a call when it was ready to be picked up.

Almost two weeks later I hadn't heard from them so I called to see if it was ready and the guy who had answered the phone couldn't find any information about my order! He had to take my information and called me several hours later to let me know he had located the job order, and that it wasn't ready yet, but he could have it ready in a few days. Finally, on August 1st I received a call saying it was ready to be picked up.

I went and picked it up that very day. I love my ring--it's exactly what I wanted, and they did a beautiful job, but I think the service leaves a little something to be desired. I don't mind if something is going to take longer than I've been told, but I do mind if people do not keep me updated on the status. The fact that they couldn't find my order when I called to check on the ring makes me think that if I hadn't called, I probably wouldn't have gotten my ring in time. And no one ever apologized to me for the delay, which is kind of unacceptable.
