Hanchey Jewelers

Good place for watch and jewelry repair but they're out of business now. They want to enjoy their retirement.

Sadly, Hancheys is closing one year too late for me. I brought in my wedding band this past summer to be resized and when I picked it up I noticed he completely redesigned the band my wife gave me 46 years ago. It's not the same. So very unprofessional!

A visit, I make every year at Christmas. I think it's a plan because my watch, batteries die every, year in November. Darn batteries have cost me an extra couple of $k for my wife. Lol

Good customer service but they were unable to repair/replace a missing stone in a simple diamond cluster earring. Went to another nearby local jeweler and they were able to do the repair with no issue. Good for basic things like resizing a ring.

Super friendly staff. I ended up getting watch batteries replaced.but they have a nice selection of jewelry for a small local jeweler. Conveniently located in West Ashley near the car dealerships. I would recommend this place, please support local!

The staff at Hanchey's Jewelers is amazing! I popped in here to get my engagement ring sized, as they came highly recommended by a friend. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. My ring is an off rose gold color, but they were still able to match it and it fits perfectly now. It only took two days to get it back. They also had some beautiful jewelry for sale- I can't wait to go back and do a little personal shopping!

If you need a watch battery or to fix a watch or clock, this is the place. I have now had to fix almost every click in my home and for $30-40 he gets it done and clicks you thought you'd have toss, are now back in service. My 4 star rating is based on repair and not jewelry.

I had a great experience with Hanchey Jewelers! I brought my engagement ring in to be resized and it was back on my finger within 2 days!. The company we purchased the ring from told me I wouldn't have it back for a month! I believe everything is done in house and it is very affordable. My ring looks flawless and the staff was very kind. I'm very glad I chose Hanchey.

Fine jewelry, expert repairs, batteries for watches with onsite service. Great unique finds. Clean showroom. And the most pleasant and likeable staff. One of my go places!

The Hancheys took great care of me and did a wonderful job setting my engagement diamond into my grandmothers ring setting. I'm so happy with the way it turned out! Very professional and friendly across the board. Highly recommend.

My necklace broke during vacation here in SC, thankfully I found this amazing little jewelry repair store. They repaired it IN ONE DAY for SOOOO CHEAP! Even cleaned my other gold pendant I had just because. Great experience, the lady in the front that helped me was a darling. I was leaving on a flight the day after and needed it repaired quickly. No problem, they had it done for me hours before my flight and everything.

Nothing like good customer service. They did what another, fancier jewelry repair store said they couldn't fix. Blah, these people were clearly experienced and were very knowledgeable on their work. Amazing! When I go back I want to stop by and actually buy something from there.

I had a Diamond wedding band of my mothers sized and shaped they did such a beautiful job. So fast and affordable. I would only go there for any jewelry needs. They were so kind and listened to what I needed to have done

This was my first time ever getting any jewelry serviced (hey, I'm a millenial with a tight budget), but I got a nice watch as a Christmas gift and needed the band adjusted. I also had a watch with a dead battery. I went to Hanchey Jeweler since it was near my home and I was impressed with the service. I got both watches done on the spot, in and out in less than 15 minutes. The staff was very friendly and the price was less than I expected. If I ever become a fancy enough person to need more jewelry serviced I will come back here!

So I bought a nice little Seiko for my daughter as a Christmas gift, very classy, very professional office appropriate. The nice folks at Hanchey adjusted the band, no charge. Reminded me of Geralds Tires, as this small service has earned them some loyalty from us. Nice work!

Hanchey Jewelers has been open for over 40 years. Located in West Ashley on Savannah Hwy. I am very impressed with the creativity of Ashley the jeweler. He can create custom jewelry and definitely offers valuable insight when designing jewelry with him. Hanchey love ya so you get 5 Stars!

Took very old French watch to see if it could be fixed. Jewler looked at it and said leave it for a while so I can take a closer look. Told me that to fix it if needed would take 6 months! Hard to believe. The counter person said we will call you in a week. Over 2 weeks later, no call. Went in gave her my slip and said I'll just take it back. They never looked at it! Not a way to run a business and treat customers. No problem, I'm no longer a customer.

Dropped off my damaged (split band) gold ring on Thursday. The repair was finished in less than 24hours and looks better than new! This place is great and I highly recommend them!

Ashley was able to create the ring I was looking for. and within my budget. The ladies that work in the shop are great too.

Dropped off my fathers watch. It's over 50 years old. It needed a new dial and I was told they could do it. They said it would take a couple of months. Ok. After 5 months without a call I go in and it isn't repaired. Sitting in a drawer because they couldn't get the dial. Hello. How about a phone call. Terrible service. Never again.

When you Google watch battery replacement this place is at the top of the list. I took a half dozen watches to this place for battery replacement but none of the batteries lasted a year. I went to them and asked why the batteries didn't last longer and they responded that two of them weren't replaced by them and two of the others were older than a year.

I think they use some off brand battery that has no longevity. Further, they broke the crystal on one of the watches I left with them and refused to accept responsibility for the damage. I'd never go this place again.

Got my ring rhodium plated and cleaned. They said it might take a week, but they had it ready in 24 hours. The workmanship was impressive. Both my husband and I thought it looked like new. Price was reasonable. I will be returning again the next time my ring needs repairs.

My experience at Hanchey Jewelers was wonderful! After a family member recommended this place, I took my new watch to have the band resized. I was fully expecting to leave my watch there for a few days, but they resized it immediately (and did a wonderful job) and I was out in 15 minutes! The employees were very kind and helpful. I loved that I was able to see my watch being worked on through the glass window into the workshop. I definitely recommend Hanchey if you need your jewelry resized. Although I have never purchased from them, they appeared to have a nice jewelry selection too.

We have taken hundreds of watches to Hanchey's for battery changes throughout the last 16 years and never had a problem. We took another brand new watch for a battery change yesterday, when the watch was given to the employee it was in PERFECT condition, and when it was returned to us, there was a huge scratch on the glass. Mr. Hanchey refused to take responsibility for what they did to my watch, and in my book, he's a scumbag! Never again!

Ok, bought a watch for the little lady on Mom's day. The good thing about Hanchey's was it was open on Saturday till 4 so we were able to run over and get the links fixed and I think I would highly recommend them for that. They have a door buzzer to let you in and out which I understand in this type store but the variety of stuff they sold was very lacking to me.

Not really sure what they sell other than some watches, pocket watch chains and cases, but really not great variety. I will go back for a watch repair but to shop I doubt it pretty highly.
