Romm Diamonds is the Boston MetroSouth area's oldest family jeweler. It was founded by Alexander Romm in 1900, on Center Street in Brockton. Alexander Romm came from a European family with roots in the jewelry business going back to the year 1700. George Romm and his son-in-law, Abraham L. Rysman, were the second generation, taking over during World War II.

Do Not Be Fooled By 5 STARS Anyone can have people generate stars! I was a client and purchased a very expensive diamond ring here not to long ago! The ring contained 5 stones totaling.90 carats and the stones were g, h in color and vs2. After a cpl years 2 of the stones popped and I luckily found both! The ring is a "Hearts on Fire" diamond ring.
I brought it to Romm and they sent it to Boston, Hearts on Fire. It sat in Boston for months, no phone calls, no contact.just sat there. Finally my husband and I called Hearts on Fire and was not fixed because of staffing and covid. No one ever called us and kept us in any kind of a loop. They sent it to Romm where Romm fixed it and the same 2 stones came out again and I have them and went back to Romm.
So Hearts of Fire said we will fix it for $1800. I was blamed for wear and tear (the ring is just about 6 yrs old). Romm told Hearts of Fire the ring was wear and tear and what was I doing with it and.what?! Are you kidding?! I work in a clinical setting, wear gloves and jog and gym in free time. Apparently wear and tear is something that's used when you will have no recourse as a client, insurance or otherwise.
I have a $6800 (with tax $7225.00) I can not even wear. Hearts on Fire wants $1800 to "fix" the problem?! They said they stand behind their products. if" defective but not a wear and tear. So where do you think I fit in? Yup! Wear and Tear! Don't buy a Hearts on Fire ring because if anything happens you will fall into the category of "wear and tear" and don't purchase from Romm for anything expensive because you will not be backed! Addendum: The wear and tear that Romm likes to use as verbiage is ridiculous!
I had the ring approx 6 yrs. Never wore it to bed and I work in a clinical setting where I wear gloves most of the time! Where is the accountability from Romm and Hearts on Fire?! Really?! Romm supposedly fixed the ring and the same 2 stones came out! Come on! Wear and tear I think not! Let's talk about a "defective" setting. Let's talk about it maybe not being fixed correctly!
The 2 stones were muted after Romm fixed it so however it was fixed those 2 stones were not the same.there was absolutely NO sparkle in those stones. I would Never let you people near this ring again and I do not trust Hearts of Fire to get their hands on it again after it sat for months and then they were greedy to even fix it based on what was said by ROMM. ROMM, you are as shady as they come!
This ring is in the hands of a reputable jeweler and I can not wait to hear what they have to say! Ownership and Accountability! When you screw up, don't blame the client for something that should last a lifetime. I can not wait to see the written assessment of what was used to "fix" the ring by Romm because I am going to add to this review! 12/26/2021 - Inappropriate material was used by Romm to "fix" this ring, NOT white gold the ring is made of. so that is what caused the stones to fall out again.
The ring is fixed appropriately now by a reputable jeweler via my ins for $800. The jeweler couldn't even believe a "professional" would do this! Use either one of these businesses at your own risk! Remember, people will lie right to your face when it comes to money! Shady.

I wasn't sure of a jeweler to use around here since we moved from Boston, Romm's was recommended by many. I needed to get my rings fixed and sized, the sales associate that created me was Brittany and she was wonderful. Personable, kind, knowledgeable and very willing to answer any and all questions. I would highly recommend Roman. Good customer service is hard to come by these days so when you find it it's a must to share.

As a customer experience manager for 20+ years service is extremely important to me. After the experience I just had I can say I am going to be a dedicated / life long customer of Romm Diamonds. Every time I visit I receive 5 star service. I wouldn't trust any other jeweler with my mom's diamond engagement ring. They assisted me with picking out a perfect setting and had it back to me in a short period of time. Andrea assisted me throughout the entire process and provided me with exceptional service.
I don't usually take the time to add a review but my experience with Romm's over the last few weeks was extraordinary. I ended up dropping off a few more items to have some adjustments made. Thank you for helping me keep my mom close every day! I appreciate it.

We were lucky to already have the diamond but needed help finding the perfect setting. After going to what felt like 20 different places on the South and North Shore, Romm was our final stop. Diane was excellent and very patient in helping me pick out a beautiful ArtCarved ring to set my diamond in.

I took my engagement ring to be repaired to 2 other places who both told me they could not fix it including one small shop and one major jeweler. When I brought it to Romms they had a "can do" attitude, if they could not fix it, they knew someone who could "fix anything". Imagine my relief that I would finally get my ring back. Not only that but they charged me $25 less that quoted, AND cleaned it beautifully, explaining the issues with white gold. So now I know! Their wonderful customer service has won me over as a customer for sure.

I found most of the sales women to be unfriendly which is not good when you are in the retail or sales business. Yes, they answered my question and then walked away. Even when I was only customer there. No help with shopping. I was looking for Pandora. I felt it may have had something to do with the fact that I told them my budget was around $100.00.
They didn't point out anything I could afford. Same unfriendly service when you call them by phone. I asked if a Pandora item was in stock. I was put on hold while she checked. When she returned to tell me they had it I asked about the price. The woman sounded annoyed as I was put on hold again while she checked that. Anyone with any sense would have noted what the price was when they checked availability. I think they are used to customers with whom price is no object.

Bought an engagement ring here. I visited a handful of other jewelers in search of the right stone, price, and service. it took me 3 visits to finally purchase from Romm, but I always felt very comfortable there. Ultimately, I just liked it there better and in the end it was an easy decision. From my searches, even though they were not willing to negotiate price, it still seemed their price was better than other jewelers. Also, with your purchase you get many services: Free mounting, 0% financing is avaialble, free appraisals, they gave me a bottle of champagne when I picked up the ring, you can get full trade-value if you upgrade to another ring at least twice in cost, etc. There's a lot more research that needed to be done than I expected when buying an engagement ring. it can be overwhelming.
In all honesty, after all the research, handfuls of visits to jewelery stores, and about 3 and a half weeks time, I ended up buying the first diamond that I had looked at from Romm's. My advice, check out Romm's and don't overthink it, you'll drive yourself crazy. By the way, she said yes.

This rating is long overdue. My husband bought my engagement ring and wedding bands at Romm's. We worked with Glady's to select a Hearts on Fire diamond for my engagement ring. She was wonderful to work with, was so patient explaining the diamond characteristics, and was so knowledgeable and made the experience less overwhelming. She is the most wonderful lady, she always has a smile on her face and remembers me whenever I go in for a cleaning.
I also love working with Elizabeth, she recently helped me repurpose some old earrings and I loved her ideas. She is very patient and respectful, does not push to sell but rather tries to understand your budget, ideas etc and just does her best to help. I highly recommend Romm's for old world customer service. You dont' see much if anymore i'm afraid.

I cannot rate Romm Diamonds high enough for their incredible selection of stones and custom settings. My fiance and I worked with the staff to create my custom engagement ring and it turned out better than anything I could ever imagine. Their prices are competitive for the exceptional quality that they provide. My ring is two years old and I still get compliments on it all the time.

Great Jewelry store. My boyfriend and I went to Romm Diamonds to visit the Tacori selection. We had an old Tacori engagement ring that was a family heirloom & we wanted to see if Romm could send it out to Tacori: get polished, resided, replace the center stone & more. When the ring came back my boyfriend picked it up & surprised me with it a couple days later.
It looked completely brand new, Tacori did an amazing job! Dean the store manager helped us tremendously & was so kind with what we wanted, budget etc. I love my ring & I will definitely go back to Romm's for more jewelry. When you are there ask for Dean.

My husband and I (and our families) have been shopping here for a long time. We trust this jeweler and have had a lot of great experiences. My wedding set and my husband's wedding band came from here. The only reason they do not get 5 starts is because the salewoman we had when purchasing our wedding bands was a bit of an idiot. I wish she had educated me more on white gold vs platinum.
She also lost our engraving request so we had to make an extra trip and redo it. But when we went back to pick up our rings she no longer worked there so I guess we weren't the only ones who didn't think she was so great. All of the other times we have had great salespeople and I love this store. Worth the trip for us whenever we need to purchase fine jewelry!

My sister & I went to Romm Jewelers to purchase Pandora bracelets & charms. We encountered one of the best sales people ever. I believe her name was Catherine. We had the best time shopping - the sales woman was so patient with us as we went through all the pandora charms & finally made decisions. She had tons of helpful suggestions. I forgot my receipt at the store & she mailed it to me with a note saying how much she enjoyed helping us shop. I have to say this is probably the best service I have ever received at a retailer.

Selection was good.quality of work and customer service not good! It was clear to me the employees were out to make a "big" sale and less about satisfying a customer in hopes of a repeat customer. I will not be back! Roger's Jewelry in Quincy is much smaller but found the customer service, quality and prices to be MUCH better. I will not go back to Romm's or recommend it to anyone!
