I hate posting bad reviews but this time I felt the need. I gave Bove my commemorative flask (I received for Speaking at a 50th anniversary meeting in Europe in 2008) to engrave my name. They misspelled my last name and so the engraver they used didn't catch the mistake and engraved the flask with the wrong name. So they said they would fix it. Well they removed the nice brass finish and stuck a cheap metal plate on with the correct name.
The plate fell off the second I took it out of the box when I got it home! It's ruined! also the same day I had to return a watch band that fell apart after 1 month! Be careful what you ask these guys to do.

I had an incredible experience with Bove Jewelers! I brought in family diamonds that I wanted to make into a custom ring, and Shirley was so helpful, knowledgeable, and kind! They kept me updated on the progress, were quick to finish the piece at a very reasonable price, and the finished piece far exceeded my expectations. I often get intimidated going into jewelry stores, but the customer service here makes you feel welcome. Can't wait to work with them again! Would highly highly recommend!

My husband and I had been a loyal customers for over 15 years, but after my experience today I will no longer give them my business. I had overlooked them ruining my wedding and anniversary bands by polishing out the details (they did send them back to the designer to have them redone). I also overlooked their misogynistic behavior during their ladies night.
Apparently their sales staff does not recognize that women can buy their own jewelry and take advantage of the event's sale and do not need to create a wish list for their spouses. Their customer service and selection of jewelry had declined dramatically with the new ownership. They no longer greet their customers in a friendly manner and make you feel as if your presence is a burden on their time.
Today when I told the woman I was looking for earrings, the sales associate replied in a very rude tone "you have to be more specific than that". Isn't that the purpose of shopping? I alway shop local and support my community, however I will no longer step foot in Bove and will take my business elsewhere where the care for their customers and community is greater.

Came in, just before they closed for the day, looking to get a ring resized. They weren't able to resize the ring because of the material it was made of, but they quickly attached a ring adjuster - free of charge. My ring fits perfectly now and the wonderful staff there was a great help! I'd absolutely recommend Bove!

I went to see these amazing people yesterday to get a new backing for my cartilage piercing that unfortunately fell off. I came in and spoke with the amazing staff and explained my situation. Fortunately for me they had the exact backing I needed. Unfortunately, when I took my piercing out to have it sized, my hole closed up as if I never had it pierced. Luckily, they were able to redo the piercing free of charge for the inconvenience. I really appreciate these wonderful people! Thank you again, Bove!

I needed to repair a gold plated necklace that was very important to me. Even though I am a young college student with obviously not a lot of money or status, every employee was so kind to me. They took my necklace and repaired it with a new clasp free of charge! It made my whole day, and I am so thankful for the service this store provided to me. It is a beautiful shop, I would highly recommend!

Bob and his Team are great! They are friendly, accommodating and helpful. They went above and beyond the call of customer service to replace a men's chain for me that could not be repaired with one of better quality for no additional charge. I couldn't be happier with my experience. Thank you, Bove Jewelers!

Had a wonderful first experience at Bove this afternoon. They were incredibly kind to fix my wedding band while I waited once they found out how far away I lived. Bove came highly recommended from family friends. My friend recently had a diamond band commissioned here and it turned out beautifully. Every employee I interacted with was incredibly kind and helpful. Hope to be back soon as the pieces they had on the floor were BEAUTIFUL!

My husband and I had such a wonderful experience at Bove Jewelers! We came in to browse with the thought that we may one day update my old engagement ring. Bob was very personable and knowledgeable. He actually picked out the perfect setting for me on the first try--it was exactly what I had envisioned all along! When my husband surprised me with the ring this past weekend, I was elated. It sparkles beautifully and I really cannot stop looking at it.

Two stars because Claire was so fantastic. It's a shame that she has to work for such a slimy creep like Bob who has become George's new store manager. He was so rude to my mother that I almost insisted we leave. We are long time customers, and Bob was rude until he looked up our account to take my mom's watches in for new batteries.
Then all of a sudden the obnoxious snobbery changed into butt kissing. No one was purchasing anything while we were there and the selection of engagement rings was rather low. I've heard from other people that Bob the manager was a former Ringling circus employee. It would make perfect sense because he was such a clown. Completely ruined the shopping experience. I wouldn't recommend coming here anymore. I would have in the past, and Claire was truly fantastic, but Bob made my stomach turn.

Excellent service, care and selection. My fiance purchased our engagement ring and we ultimately purchased our wedding bands from Bove. It's a bit far from our Philadelphia stomping ground however the service is spectacular. Thanks Bob S & Bove Jewelers team for your excellent expertise and customer service!

Incident Update: The general manager did contact me and sincerely apologized for my experience with my broken watch and explained that they would like to attempt to resolve the issue. He also relayed that the salesperson in question had been reprimanded in regard to her handling of the watch. As I had already taken it to another jeweler (a year ago) who replaced the battery and the glass front, there wasn't a need for them to remedy it, however, they did offer to reimburse me my expenses.
Since so much time had passed, I didn't feel that was necessary so didn't accept the offer. But, do appreciate the offer. However, I do feel that the manager was extremely sorry for the incident and assured me nothing like that would happen again. I am appreciative that they finally addressed the event, apologized and at least offered to rectify the situation. Based on our recent conversations, I am updating my review and no longer feel that their lack of response is so egregious. I believe they may now also be under new ownership since my initial experience.
