So in response to the owner's response to my review, you are saying your wife was having a heart operation and you were at the store? Not there WITH your wife? My review should be the least of your worries. I'm sorry. A few mornings ago i stopped in here with some jewelrry and watches. I had some pieces I wanted to have fixed, some I wanted to have appraised and some I was considering selling.
I picked this particular jewelry store after considerable research because their website said they offered all of these services. (Side note: I stopped on a day I had left the house quickly to pick something up which happened to be right near this store. Since I left suddenly, i was wearing sweats and had my hair pulled back.) From the moment I walked in, the gentleman working there was abrupt and less than helpful.
In fact, his behavior made me feel unwelcome and he seemed annoyed that i was there. When I asked if they did appraisals, he quickly said no. When I asked if they repaired watches, he said not really. Whe i asked if they bought jewelry, he quickly said no. Since their website says differently, I can only assume that either he was judging me by my appearance or their advertising is all lies. Either way, I will never go to this jeweler again or recommend it to anyone.

I received excellent service at this jeweler. My ring was resized perfectly from initial fitting/sizing to finished product. Mr. Biegert is a full service jeweler, and obviously very knowledgeable. He also did an inspection of an old watch of my husband's and when he was sure he could not repair it himself, offered us the contact details for someone who could.
I was so pleased with the service and pricing here that I ended up buying some earrings that I will treasure forever. The store is easy to find, and parking is available very nearby (within a block).

I'm only giving this store 1 star because I have to. I went in today & wanted to see a ring. I'm recently engaged & getting married March 6th. The lady told me shr can't let me hold the ring. I said how can I buy it if I can't see it on my finger? Again, she said I can't let you hold the ring. I asked her does she let white people try on rings & she told me yes. UNBELIEVABLE!
She spoke truthfully & too soon. I could see all over her face that she knew she had messed up. As I walked to the door she then asked me my ring size. I told her 8 but don't worry about it. She then tried to tell me I could try it on but the damage was already done. I was so mad I was shaking. Mind you I'm a teacher & my fiance is a nurse, I had to 1 carat diamomd rings on at the time & have enough money to buy 5 of those rings if I so choose.
But being black I guess my money wasn't good enough for her. I was COMPLETELY disrespected & discriminated against solely based on the color of my skin that she even verbally admitted! I am completely amazed & infuriated. This place needs to be SHUT DOWN!

I just saw a Facebook post that's States that they buy old jewelry gold silver dentalgold and coins but when I went to see Terry a few weeks back and sell several pieces he didn't buy anything not 1! I had some pretty cool pieces I just never wear, I admit the quality wasn't great but if you're going to melt them down for something else then why does that exactly matter?
I had silver, gold pieces, and loose diamonds. He also kept pointing out the poor quality and how great the stuff he has at a store but his store seems like a junk whole to me. Terry himself has a very guady appearance. So I'm not sure here exactly has the taste quality level that I'm looking for in a jeweler anyway. I had a really cool cross I thought he would take but he poked fun at that too, stating it was probably worth 200 new when I told him we had bought it as a vintage piece for 400.
He appraised everthing at a few hundred bucks each but didnt take anything. He also appraised diamonds I had at only 75$ stating the were yellow yet he didn't take them out of the dingy bag when he examined him. I love supporting local but I think he just has a few fans on his bandwagon. if you're going there to sell don't expect to sell anything unless it's a very expensive item and he comes across as somebody who wouldn't give you the total value ypundeserve or an honest evaluation.
I forget the name of the place by dierbergs in O'Fallon but that was the best place to sell jewelry for me. And if you're gonna shop for jewelry I suggest Becker's jeweler in Highland and breese they're the best! Great quality, clean showroom, nice people. Love them!

Awful customer service! I went into the store today to sell a ring and look for an engagement ring. When I approached the counter and told the man I would interested in selling my ring, he told me that my ring "wasn't right" and when I asked for more detail I also told him that I didn't have much knowledge about jewelry. Then he basically said that the ring I brought was fake, and when I said that I didn't think it was, he said He was just trying to educate me.
I will not be back to purchase an engagement ring and I hope he knows he lost a sale because of his rude attitude. Go somewhere where the customer service isn't rude and actually tries to care for their customers, and not somewhere makes you feel stupid for walking inside.

Biegert's Jewelry is by far my favorite place to go. Terry is always so nice, helpful, and patient. He has all kinds of price ranges and sets so you can get matching jewelry. He's very personable and will listen to what you're looking for. I have even gone in there in the past and bought a ring and before I could get 5 miles away he was calling me to say it was sized and ready to go! I would definitely recommend!

If I could give this shop 0 stars I would. The owner was the rudest and most condescending man I have ever talked to. I have been a local all my life and went to look at engagement rings. At the very beginning, the owner was very disinterested and rude. When I would start to ask him questions, he acted like I was a complete waste of his time. No one else was even in the store!
He talked to me with disgust when I told him what I was looking for. You should never treat customers the way he was treating me. NEVER EVER GO HERE! Go spend your money and time with someone who actually cares about customers.

I have an old kitchen clock from the 1800s which was passed on to me. It had stopped working shortly before my Grandmother passed and, as it holds a lot of sentimental value for me, I took it in for a rather pricey repair at a shop in Belleville. The repair cost as much as the clock is worth but it was worth it to me just to have it back in working order. Unfortunately, I had to return it to the store 3 times for repair and even then it only worked for about two years.
For that kind of money, I expected more. I had heard that Terry Biegert, the owner of Biegert's Jewelry, did good repair on clocks and watches, so I decided to visit with him to see if he thought the clock could be repaired, hopefully for the long-term. Mr. Biegert had my clock back to me at the end of the week! I could tell a difference the first time I wound it up and the clock keeps better time than it ever had for me before. Mr. Biegert also shared his knowledge of such clocks with me. I'd highly recommend his store and service. He has some really beautiful jewelry as well. Old estate clocks too!

I stumbled into Biegert's Jewelry one day just to take a peek. While there, I asked Terry to look at my ring as Shane & Co told me it was not real white gold and was rusting inside. Terry checked it out, smoothed the rough spot inside the bad that Shane called rust, weighed it and confirmed it was real and the quality I paid for. He did it all for no charge. So, recently, I recently upgraded my ring with Terry.
I am very pleased with Biergert's Jewelry. While in his store, I met an one of his old friend's daughter, Joe Turek from Mama's Pride band, a distant cousin plus his lovely wife. Great local jeweler. Terry knows the jewelry business and famous and not so famous trust his work. I recommend Biergert's Jewelry- it's almost like Cheers- where everybody knows your name. Thanks, Terry for treating me with great customer service!

I've done business with Biegerts Jewlers for over 4 years. They do great repair work at fair prices and are honest, never doing or recommending any work that isn't necessary or if it isn't the best option. They stand behind their work too. I have bought new pieces at Biegerts as well. They have a teriffic selection of jewelry in all price ranges and their diamond selections are outstanding and priced fairly. I recommend them highly for both new jewelry purchases and repair work.
