From the moment I came into the door to my visit to receive my repaired watch, I was treated with the utmost of respect and professionalism. That level of professionalism is what sets them apart from other businesses I have patronized in the surrounding area. The repair was done in a very reasonable amount of time, and I will give them repeat business. I would recommend using Nelson Jewelers for your jewelry needs as well.

Been my only jeweler for 8 years, and I looked around a lot. Huge range of items for every budget and a fantastic estate collection for the savvy collector. Always welcomed with a smile and educated friends to help me find exactly what I'm looking for. I even get my older pieces repaired there, if I didn't get it from NC with a protection plan, which I've used, and highly recommend.

I had a special request for a ring with sentimental value, and they even shipped my ring to a designer out-of-state to see if my needs could be met! Everyone at Nelson Coleman is always welcoming, friendly, and eager to please. It's a comfortable, no-pressure environment, and my regular jewelry store. I was put in touch with Julie who led me through the process. She was kind, professional, prompt, and supportive. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The custom made ring was everything I hoped for. I would recommend them wholeheartedly.

This was my first time using Nelson Coleman and it was a great experience. I dropped off my engagement ring for repair and my wedding bands for cleaning and everything came back in wonderful condition. It took about 2 weeks for the repair and cleaning/appraisal of 3 rings and they called right away when they were done. They were even willing to be a little flexible with a pick-up time for me since I have an unusual work schedule. Definitely my new jeweler!

Julie was recommended to me by a friend. I brought her a black opal not knowing what I wanted to do with it. She patiently helped me narrow the vision for a ring then created wonderful designs for me to choose from. I couldn't be more pleased with the final product! I waited over a year since my lovely sweet wife passed away to decide to move my wedding band from my left to right hand. I chose Nelson Coleman in full confidence to increase the ring size. They did a beautiful job at the quoted price. A week after receiving the ring I went back to inform them the prongs on the inset diamond were catching on fabric, and I left the ring for evaluation.

A couple days later they called to inform me the (43 year old) prongs were shredded and need replacing, which they told me would be done at no additional cost. I got the finished ring back today and it is perfect. I am totally satisfied, and I recommend Nelson Coleman to everyone without reservation.

Sales staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. Selection was better than anything I saw at the five stores I visited prior. And the pricing was much better. I feel that I got a lot more value here. Not sure that I have a reason to shop anywhere else in the future.

Purchased wedding bands from Nelson Coleman around the holidays and was told then that we could come back before our summer wedding and have them cleaned. Not only did they shine our wedding bands but they offered to clean my engagement ring free of charge when it wasn't even purchased from them. They were kind, professional, timely, and organized! Recently purchased a new band for my wedding ring stack at Nelson Coleman. The sales woman was very helpful & took the time to find something that would look good and fit with my current rings. All was going well until she reached out towards my stomach over the jewelry counter and asked if I was pregnant. I actually just had a baby so I got to explain that to the sales woman. I have been so bothered by this, but I do love my ring. Will be on the hunt for another jewelry store in the area next time.

This should be your jeweler. This family owned jewelry store in Towson has excellent customer service from knowledgeable sales people. Their prices are more than fair and the selection is wide and varied. They carry interesting and unique vintage and estate jewelry as well as the more modern high-end diamond engagement rings and traditional jewelry.

There is something for everyone. Everything is not "too expensive". There are price points for everyone and no matter how large or small your purchase is, you will be treated to friendly and professional customer service. Put this on your list!

Today Mr Coleman spent an hour with me telling me about my mother's estate jewelry, which I need to split with my sister. I was wowed by the depth of his knowledge about these old pieces- he immediately recognized they originated in South America, although I had not mentioned this! He was able to date and value each piece (my mother had long since forgotten everything about them), and was patient and thorough in his comments regarding styles and stones. I will certainly return to this store for all future jewelry needs. Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience at Nelson Coleman. I visited the store several times while planning my wedding. I purchased and designed a custom wedding band here. Also, had some repairs done on a pearl necklace. All of the staff is extremely kind and professional. Without a doubt I will be using their services for my ring cleanings and any future jewelry I plan to purchase. You don't regret shopping here!

Had such an amazing experience looking for wedding bands this past week with Suzie. She was beyond helpful, friendly and very patient as we asked her so many questions. They had a great selection of bands for us and we will definitely be back again.

We came to Nelson Coleman in pursuit of a ring by a certain designer, Mark Schnieder (even though we'd discovered it at another store in Annapolis), and I am so glad we did! I thought it would be a last ditch effort, but it was truly a blessing in disguise! Our initial appointment with Jaci was amazing! She understood what I wanted and recommended excellent customization options!

I am picky, picky, picky, and she was nothing but patient, sweet, and understanding the whole time - and now, subsequently! We feel fortunate to be customers of Nelson Coleman! The selection they carry is supremely classy, yet there seems to be something for every budget. Everyone there knows their stuff well beyond the "4 Cs" of diamonds. We also got my husband's wedding band here, and we couldn't be happier!

I stopped in to meet with Mark Coleman and discuss some jewelry pieces that I inherited from my grandmother. Mark was very friendly, inviting, and knowledgeable and told me some very cool things about the pieces I had! He was able to give me an idea of their value and that they will have typically 3 different value numbers: insurance value, sale (to him) value, and value once in their case for sale.

I did feel the values he was giving were awfully low after comparing, for instance, one of my diamond piece's appraisals to the values he gave for it. The appraisal from another place came in around $5,000 roughly. He gave it a value of under $1,000, even for insurance value! With such a drastic range in price, and not a lot of knowledge on jewelry, I feel I need a third opinion.

I did, however, sell a pendant to him. The process is very easy and I received a check right then and there for it. Mark also steam cleaned all the rings I brought in for free. They really sparkle now! I am so thankful for his kind gesture. I tried cleaning a couple of the rings myself and there were still full of crud stuck under the stone. His steam cleaning was quick and extremely effective.

I have a few loose stones I picked up while overseas and I am excited to bring them to Mark to discuss some options for setting. This is a nice store in the middle of Towson. And an added bonus being in such an urban area is that they have their own parking lot!

We had the most amazing experience with Michelle. She was amazing! She knew so much about diamonds but was able to explain it in a way that made sense to us. She was attentive, never pushy and respected our budget. She was so helpful a md honest. The engagement ring we ended up with is stunning and we could not have had a better experience!

Very overpriced. Selling jewelry results in being essentially shortchanged. Very non-negotiable. Had a set of Japanese pearls clasp fixed and it was not done properly and I lost the necklace. If something they sell breaks it is because it is my fault. Friendly as they take the money and abuse customers like me who do not have a lot, full time students, for example.

Words cannot describe how amazing, reliable, and consistent Nelson-Coleman is. I had my first experience buying jewelry 4 years ago with them as I searched for an engagement ring for my now wife. They made it such a special experience. Over and over they spent extra time answering all my questions and ensuring I was educated about my purchase. They even jumped through hoops to make several last minute changes to her ring.

Over the last few months I had another amazing experience as I purchased a set of diamond stud earrings for my wife. To complicate matters, I live in San Diego, CA, and I was deployed throughout the entire process. I was so blessed to be able to work with Jaci throughout this search. She sent me many pictures and answered all my questions. As it was a surprise, she also helped me to work out a unique payment and shipping plan.

Wow -- I can't recommend Nelson Coleman highly enough! Ask for Jake to assist you if he's working - he did a fantastic job with assisting us getting my wife's engagement ring and wedding band buffed. Very nice people & qualified jeweler. They know their stuff. It's a small shop but that makes it better, in my opinion. We'll be back to shop for jewelry there very soon in the future.

When my husband and I initially got engaged 6 years ago, we went to Smythe jewelers. We worked with someone and ended up needing them to contact a jewelry designer to see if the ring we wanted was available in alternate metals. We were promised a call back and never got one. A call weeks later to follow up with them and no one knew anything about it.

We then head to Nelson Coleman on a friend's recommendation. From the get go the owners seemed interested in getting to know us, not just selling us jewelry. Their small store is personal and amazingly.stocked with an interesting selection that always changes with items that range from inexpensive to lavish. In the six years we have been Nelson Coleman customers, we have moved to Viriginia and still make the drive up to buy jewelry for ourselves and as gifts. Everytime we go, we received a complimentary jewelry cleaning.

All services are fantastic and every detail is attended to with care towards the jewelry and us as customers. I will forever be a customer of Nelson Coleman Jewelers. Smyth and other stores may have a large selection, but Nelson Coleman is focused on building trust and doing business with integrity. They have our business for life.

I had such high hopes for this place, and after my and my boyfriend's first appointment for designing an engagement ring, I was really pleased. We had a recommendation by a friend to go here, but things went downhill from that first meeting. 1. They told us the ring would be ready in 2 weeks (something we thought was quite quick, but still). It took them a month and a half over their original estimate. 2.

They told us we could change the ring to yellow gold, but their first attempt didn't turn out well at all and they tried to make us take it as it was even though we paid for a certain look. 3. My boyfriend was suppose to have his grandfather's ring refitted. He confirmed how it would look, and has the paperwork to say that it should be done - they forgot about it completely.

He is leaving for the summer and now I have no idea when we will be getting that ring back. 4. They did nothing to make this unfortunate situation right (aside from acknowledging this review). To their credit, they tried to stay in communication with us once all of these problems popped up, but it didn't particularly matter because nothing got accomplished any sooner or with better results.

They really wowed us in our initial appointment; I am so sad to have to write this review. - - - - - - - - - - Both my boyfriend and I recently talked to the staff here, and while I understand that a lot of these occurrences were just unfortunate mistakes, that doesn't mean they didn't occur and mess with our expectations and future plans. One thing I will add is that we worked with someone named Jaci who was the absolute sweetest throughout this whole process.
