I just wanted to say how impressed I was.as I went to your website and messaged some questions which got a reply from Mr. Ed in the Timonium location right away! And then we promptly connected at 10 AM over the phone, he found what I needed, got the items engraved and overnighted all in one day! Smyth is genuinely the best place to go for a top of the line shopping experience. From the sales associates, customer service team, and management. It is a family owned business that makes you feel like part of the family. No matter how big or small your needs are, the Smyth family will take care of you. Amazing customer service! I had ordered a Shinola Monster series watch from a different retailer two different times and each time it was an open box item. It did not come in the fancy packaging that was consistent with what the manufacturer sends. Ed new exactly what watch I was talking about (the Harbor Monster) and what type of packaging is included.

He promised that all would be delivered, and he made good on it! I got the beautiful watch along with the super heavy red metal container it comes in and the outside cardboard boxing. That is exactly how it was supposed to be. I'll definitely be back for more watches. Please support this great family-owned business!

I've been buying home decor items from Smyth for awhile now. I always prefer supporting smaller businesses over big department stores, and I have to say Smyth is my go-to store for upscale gifts and home decor. I'm in Florida, and they always ship out my order quickly and items always arrive well packaged and in perfect condition. In the 20+ orders I've placed so far, not a single damaged product or mishap. I wish all stores were this good!

First time ordering from this website and it definitely won't be the last. They went above and beyond. The shipping was quick and I am obsessed with the gift wrapping. You can tell this company cares about every little detail. Everything was packaged carefully and they included dust bags and cloths. I am very satisfied with my purchase.

I had two goals in mind during my visit to Synth. There were several miscellaneous pieces that I wanted to sell, as well as several items to repair. Both departments handled my requests professionally and explained everything. The ladies were patient and explained everything very well. I have always placed my trust in Smyth and everything was done in a very satisfactory manner. Thank you as always for your attention to detail.

I recently stopped by Smyth Jewelers to have my father's bracelet repaired. It's a high quality heavy gold bracelet and I wanted a jeweler that I could trust to repair it. While there, I got my finger sized and checked out some rings. The staff member that assisted me was very helpful. She gave me a crash course on the cut and style of diamonds I wasn't too familiar with.

She was extremely patient and very knowledgeable. If only I could remember her name. After a couple of weeks, I came back to pick- up the bracelet and it was fixed perfectly! They even polished it up to make it sparkle! I was very impressed with their quality of work. I can absolutely see myself coming back here and purchasing something. They have high quality and lovely items to choose from.

I don't typically provide reviews but sharing a quick note to say that the Smyth team in Annapolis is fantastic. I no longer live in the area but each visit to Maryland, I take my engagement ring for cleaning and service. The team go above and beyond to assist. I am very pleased to know that my husband and I can count on the team for service with jewelry we have purchased from Smyth.

Excellent customer service experience. I had a special request regarding resetting an old family diamond into a new ring. Each of the 2 well-informed ladies I spoke with were so patient with me. Today I am picking up the ring and I know, from jewelry work they have done in the past, that it will be exquisite. Professional. Knowledgeable. They seem to value the customer! A true full-service neighborhood jeweler.

It's been many years since I've been to Smyth's, got my wedding rings there many years ago. Now that they are conveniently located in Annapolis I thought it would be a great place to purchase jewelry for a retirement gift, needed 2 pieces. I was quickly approached by a very nice young lady eager to assist, I explained I was just looking but would let her know.

When I decided what I wanted I approached her as she was talking to a gentleman from the store, I assume a manger. She quickly pawned me off to another sales person who had just entered the store. We were both taken aback as she said.you can help her! At which point the other salesperson quickly jumped in & tried to help. After all of the confusion I elected to stop at the one piece and be fine with it as I was a bit put out with the experience.

I wasn't impressed with the store itself it looked a bit grungy and less than appealing. I left annoyed and made the second part of the purchase from nearby Nordstrom's! I definitely will not go back.

Went twice times to Smyth Jewelers at the Annapolis Towne Centre as it is convenient for me. Not worth the unbelievably rude service both times from different staff members. Never again! Not worth the convenience to be treated badly. Although the store is in a great location and laid out in a very attractive manner evidently the staff is either not trained or not supervised to be polite and helpful to customers.

Too bad. Will go elsewhere next time. The store was empty both times so I guess others have got the message too. No one likes to spend money and get hostile treatment in return.

Horrible service with absolutely no communication or follow up on their part. Came in March 5th. Ordered two rings with deposit. A week later we got no confirmation so we stopped by. We were told they didn't even know if it was ordered or not. Manager said whatever place he needed to contact was not open but he would take care of us. Never got a call from him. Stopped by a week later and we're told again that they didn't know what was going on but they would definitely call or email us.

Still no contact or follow-up so we called. We're told there was something wrong with the sku (on both? Seems suspicious) but she ordered them. She said two weeks max but possibly less because she rushed it. Called back 12 days later just to confirm when we could come to pick it up. This next person we spoke to was rude and acted like we were bothering her. Said she had no way of knowing when things would come in. Called back June 2nd and the guy we talked to seemed completely unaware of the situation.

He said. maybe Tuesday? But didn't really know. At this point we were done. The rings never came in and we got a refund over the phone. To the management: You lost an easy sale. What is going on at your store?

-I wanted to make an informed decision when I purchased my fiancee's engagement ring, and went to two other locations before Smyth's. Upon walking into Smyth's, I knew that it was THE place to buy the engagement ring. -Smyth is such a professional business and they treat you like you're the only customer in the world as soon as you walk in.

I was promptly escorted to a private consultation area, and offered the drink of my choice. -From there, I cannot praise Gwen enough! Anyone reading this, ask for her. She patiently answered my countless questions, educated me, and ensured that the ring was PERFECT!

Bottom Line: Trustworthy for jewelry and they sell some nice gifts. I have long been a fan of Smyth Jewelers because I think they are honest and trustworthy. I've been in the store a lot lately and while I usually have to flag down an employee to help me, once I have their attention they are always very helpful and focused on meeting my needs. Smyth definitely has some exquisite jewelry but they also have lovely gifts in lower price points like Pandora bracelets, Alex + Ani bracelets and Liz Lang art work. You can find plenty of "Marylandcana" (my new word to describe Maryland themed stuff) like Raven's scarves, Orioles cuff links and gear blazoned with the Maryland flag.

I just finished up at the jewelry store with a gentleman. I believe his name is Terri. I don't typically leave reviews however I had excellent customer service today and I would recommend Smyth to Friends and family! All of my questions were answered and they appeared to genuinely care about my experience.

Legitimately just walked out of this store about five minutes ago after standing around for 30 minutes without being helped. When my fiancee and I walked in there was a gentleman that told us someone would be right with us. However, after about 25 more minutes we still had not been helped or even spoken to. There were a total of 6 people (3 couples) being attended to and one of the couples actually walked in after us.

In hindsight, maybe should have spoken with a manager before we left but I was more shocked than angry. This isn't the worst customer service I've ever seen because a service has to be provided to the customer in the first place in order to assess how well/poorly it was delivered.

I have been to Smythe twice in the last few months and the service has been awful. The time frame and the communication were awful. I have had to call to check on my items because I never got a phone call. I dropped a watch off on January 18, 2017 to get a simple pin repaved, was promised it back on February 1, 2017. It has just gotten back today and I have not gotten 1 phone call to update me on the status.

I have had to call them. I had used them several times in the past and didn't have a problem. Moving to their new location seems to have changed things. Plus, what jewelry store has sports on the TV? I would expect something more classy. Just my opinion on that. So going to get my watch and will be on the lookout for a new jeweler. UPDATE: I picked up my jewelry and then got a call from Brett (One of the Managers) he apologized for my recent experienced and asked for me to give them another chance, gave me his and another Managers name if I had any trouble in the future.) I will give them another chance, will update after my next experience.

I'm a stickler for good customer service but Ginny was freakin' awesome. She was knowledgeable, honest, and she educated me throughout the process. I felt comfortable and there wasn't any pressure to make a decision. She's very personable and funny. I made a great purchase and I know that my love will smile from ear to ear once she's sees this beauty. Ginny was so lovely that we had a goodbye hug. Thank you for a pleasant experience. Take you money elsewhere! It is very unfortunate but after spending a lot of $$$$$ on a diamond ring the entire experience from start to finish was pretty much a total disappointment. It's unfortunate that working with the manager of the store was no better than working with the salesman. I get better customer service at bed bath and beyond. No matter how much you spend customer service should ALWAYS be a priority. Unfortunately that was not my experience at Smyth in Annapolis. Maybe Towson is better.

I needed a battery replaced in a watch and had some questions about a specfic watch I wanted to buy. I was immediately greeted when I walked into the store. One gentleman took my watch to the back to replace the battery while another answered my questions. In 30 minutes I had my watch battery replaced and all of my questions answered. Great service and knowledgeable friendly staff all around.

I've been to this store several times. A couple bracelet adjustments on my Omega, a cleaning and battery change for a couple older watches, and a few appraisals. Every time, I've been greeted with their friendly staff, even if I'm not there to spend money. Just bought another watch there, and Ginny was fantastic to work with. I'll be coming here for many years to come.

I went to the Annapolis location to get my rings sized and another one cleaned. I had told myself that after my previous visit to the Annapolis Location that was all I was going to do at this location was servicing and that I would take my money to Baltimore. Well HELLO they have changed, and it looks like it's a new staff there now too. They service here is now welcoming and great.

I walking in the door to receive a warm welcome! It felt more like the original location. When I went to pick up my rings I got the same warm welcome also. I will be back and not just for cleanings. Keep up the great work!

I had been searching for an engagement ring for my girlfriend and had been to numerous jewlery stores and several websites looking for a VVS1/VVS2 princess cut diamond, over 1.0ct with an D-F color and excellent polish/symmetry. To make it even more difficult, I would not purchase anything without a GIA report number laser inscribed on the diamond.

Through a month of research and visiting no less than 15 different jewlery stores/diamond retailers in the area, it had become apparent to me that I would not find what I was looking for in a retail location. I had read numerous horror stories from individuals purchasing off the internet and stopped into Smyth while in Annapolis for business. I spoke with Britney and she gave some excellent advice and began making calls to obtain the diamond I was looking for.

Within an hour she found exactly what I was looking for and had it shipped to their location for inspection. I was able to view the diamond under the microscope and verify the GIA report number inscribed on the stone. After my approval, she had the stone sent out to be mounted in the setting and I was able to pick it up within a few weeks. Overall I felt the transaction went as well as I could possibly expect.

I had priced hundreds of stones and setting combinations and felt I received a very fair price on the ring. Britney was extremely courteous and professional throughout the entire process and I will not hesitate to return to Smyth for our wedding bands.
