We are a family-owned consignment jewelry store bringing you two generations of jewelry experts. We believe jewelry is the best way to mark an occasion or commemorate important milestones in your life. Unlike other area jewelry stores, Joint Venture Jewelry offers a collection of pieces that tell a story and carry a history.
Our family is proud to be one of the only all-consignment jewelers not only in Cary but the entire country. For two generations, we have brought the concept of consignment jewelry to our community. With Joint Venture Jewelry's unique approach to jewelry sales, we work with clients from Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and beyond.
Our Four C's of Diamonds guide can help you decide on the most important factors when shopping for a diamond. The word carat derives from the word carob, a Mediterranean seed, which has an extremely consistent weight for measuring. The greater the carat weight, the rarer, and more valuable the diamond becomes.
As an all estate and consignment jewelry store, our inventory is always changing and always saving you money. Get the estate designer goods without the designer price. Browse our collection of estate designer jewelry, such as David Yurman, Tiffany & Co, John Hardy, Ippolita, LeVian, and more here. Our friendly staff will be happy to help you with whatever questions you may have about this item.

We had recently moved to North Carolina from Pennsylvania but needed to store our belongings in a pod for several months. After emptying the pod, I noticed that something had fallen on my dresser and crushed my Mother's ring which I had for the past 14 years. Donna was so sweet on the phone and told me that they could fix it and all I needed to do was bring it in.
When I arrived, they greeted me kindly and gave me a very fair estimate for servicing my ring by taking out the dent, resizing it, and making the gold smooth again. When I picked my ring up, it looked exactly like the day I bought it! Thank you, Joint Venture!

My husband and I went in to look at vintage/unconventional rings to replace our department-store wedding rings. Donna took the time to find out what we were interested in and what we did not want and then presented us with a range of rings to review. We each found a unique ring that we are sure not to see duplicated, and the prices were quite reasonable. We highly recommend Donna and Joint Venture Jewelry!

The minute you walk into Joint Venture, you know you're in a special place. There are no rows of overpriced bling! They focus on you, what you want, and they work extra hard to keep it within your budget. They are professional and nice, and certainly knowledgeable. Highly recommend you start here on your jewelry journey!

I recently came back to Joint Venture to get my wedding set resized and plated. Both rings could not look better! Amazing job as usual. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my antique, family pieces and I'm grateful for their expertise. Thank you for being our family jeweler and always taking care of us! Highly recommend for vintage, one of a kind pieces.

Great Service! I took in a bracelet that I have have worn every day for over 20 years to repair a break. Joint Venture repaired it quicker than they originally quoted and the repair was flawless. They also cleaned it and it looks like I just purchased it. Super impressed with their quality of work! I will be back!

I have purchased many items over the years here from my wedding rings to diamond earrings and I must say that JointVenture never disappoints. They are my GO TO for vintage jewelry and always have a wide range of items to choose from. I recently had an allergic reaction to a piece I received for Christmas and they were very understanding and helpful in returning this item and helping me choose another.
They even returned my email quickly over the Christmas holidays regarding the allergic reaction. They always take their time with you to help select the right piece to fit your style and budget. They also have great designer pieces on consignment (think David Yurman and Tiffany's) at reasonable prices. So ladies here is Carys hidden gem of a jewelry store!

I've worked with Joint Venture for over 10 years. My experience with Donna and Lee has been nothing but professional, helpful and pleasant. They continue to give great advice on how I can sell my pieces with what's best for me in mind and what's fair. I'm grateful to work with two people whose expertise I trust and value. Plus, they are just really nice folks!

I had an eco drive watch battery years ago that needed replaced and this business was able to help me. Very professional and they treat you like family. My David Yurman box chain recently broke and I looked for local options. I did not realize this business was the same business I had previously dealt with years ago. I was so excited to see these people again when I pulled up to the store.
I remembered my fantastic experience and knew I'd be taken care of. Donna was so friendly and personable walking me through the process and what my options were. Top notch service here! I highly recommend this business for purchasing new jewelry for that special someone or if you need something you really care about repaired. They have some really unique pieces in store. A+++ rating! Great people who do GREAT business!

Getting a piece of jewelry repaired or reconfigured? Consider employing the services of an onsite trained jeweler expert. You'll be wise to have your property insured BEFORE leaving it on the premises as well. They do not cover losses or damage and all repairs are shipped offsite to an area expert with whom you will have no opportunity to confirm the desired repair. Had a recent reconfiguration and the result was minimally like what I agreed to purchase.
Even more, I was charged hundreds above what I was quoted. I communicated my utter dissatisfaction with the work to the partners, paid the inflated price in full, and left determined put the RTP community on notice. There are too many reputable and skilled jewelers in the area to opt for these used bauble peddlers.

Where do I begin? These people are a bunch a crooks. They gave my sister a gift card to use in there store for $100. She went in to use her $100 gift card and was told by one of the owners and that she wasn't allowed to use her gift card because it was "written" wrong. She got it at a charity silent auction so she was excited to get use it finally.
They refused to give her credit for the discount and she ended up spending $40 on a dress that she should've gotten for free. Also, on the occasions I've popped into the store (waiting for my food next door) the family is in the back yelling at each other which makes me as a customer uncomfortable and not willing to look around. And at one point I'm pretty sure I heard them whispering about a previous customer and it wasn't nice things, so beware.

Admittedly, I was a little apprehensive when I was first told to look here because it was not a store I was familiar with. However, after looking at the selection and pricing I was hooked. This store has a very diverse selection of rings that you would not find in a regular jewelry store. No offense to people who like the trendy rings but we were looking for something a little more unique.
Before going here, I was entertaining the idea of designing our own ring and after sitting through 2 hours with that jeweler I was exhausted. This was not a process I was looking forward to and thankfully Joint Venture helped me avoid this pain. We found this really great vintage art deco-style ring that my fiance fell in love with. The staff and owners at Joint Venture Jewelry were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the history and origin of the ring which made it even more special.
When it came time to pick up the ring, not only did they have it in a great box, they also had a really nice gift bag with things for both my fiance and me. Overall, the personal service and advice I got from this store made the experience much less stressful. Furthermore, I really appreciated the time that they took to work with us and explain the different rings. Thank you for making this a memorable experience and helping us find the perfect ring. We have and will continue to recommend your store to friends and family.

Donna always takes time with each client - they've helped me tremendously. What I liked best when I consigned was that once they gave me a price that I would receive, that's the price I received. Further, when I consigned, if I felt the price was to low, they were willing to negotiate and if I still decided to hold on to the piece, they were not at all put out. I really like working with Donna - looking forward to visiting again many times.

SELLERS BEWARE! I was with my mother 2 years ago (Aug 2014) when she brought in both her wedding ring and the wrap/guard. She signed a contract at this time for her pieces to remain on consignment for 2 years. This past May, she decided that these were pieces that she really didn't want to lose. She called Joint Ventures and asked that the pieces be pulled from consignment and not sold.
The employee she spoke with on the phone told her that would be fine. She could pick them up and pay the fees for doing so. She also told her that there was no rush and the pieces could still be picked up by August. My mother thought she'd be able to pick them up sooner but once July rolled around she thought she should call just to make sure everything was ok and her jewelry was still in place.
She called on 7/9/2016 and spoke to someone (Liz) who again confirmed that her jewelry had not been sold and was available for her to pick up. She then received an email on 7/11/2016 from one of the owners stating that only the wedding ring was available for pickup but the wrap/guard was on layaway for a customer to be picked up in the fall. My mother sent several unanswered emails to the owner reminding her that she'd requested the pieces be pulled and the layaway transaction should not be completed.
When my mom and I arrived at the store to pick up her pieces in August, of course we were told that the wrap/guard was not available to return because it was on layaway for a customer. We were furious and immediately called the police. Once the police arrived, their story changed and the owners produced some type of paperwork that stated the customer closed the layaway by picking up the piece and made final payment on 7/29/2016.
They also told the police that this layaway was opened in May2016, the exact same month that my mother asked the store to pull the items from consignment. They offered my mother $150 for the piece and no explanation for why they did not honor her request for the items to be removed from consignment. I have an explanation, they are crooks and decided they would like to keep the piece and maybe $150 would be enough to make my mother go away.

Not for the jewelry or the clothes but for the customer service! Did not even get a chance to browse the merchandise. I do not Yelp much but this experience made me start yelping again. Anyway, we just moved to the apartment complex close by and decided to grab some pizza for my 3 year old son at a nearby pizza place. On our way back, we passed by the boutique and was intrigued by the estate jewelry display.
We went in, talked to a sales associate and was interested in looking for a wedding set for our upcoming 10 year anniversary. We just started looking when my 3 year old ran off to check something out. Typical 3 year old fascinated by everything. A guy came in and met him on his way in. I guess he works there and told us in a stern voice that kids are not allowed to be running around the store!
I understand that and I would not allow my son to be unattended. It wasn't like he was pulling things off the shelf or anything. He just literally ran off! If you have kids, I guess don't bring them in here when you shop! I will definitely be taking my business elsewhere!

Very helpful in finding exactly what you want. I bought a replacement wedding ring. (I lost my 1st one) Then years later went back and found a wedding band to match. They changed a white gold diamond band to a yellow gold to match my ring. I couldn't ask for better service. They are the best! Keep looking if you don't find "the one." They always have something new each time I visit, to get my rings cleaned!

My fiancee found the most incredible, unique, perfect engagement ring at Joint Venture. It's an estate piece, which is something we love about this store. They find gorgeous, high-quality estate pieces that you won't see on every other bride's hand. This is a family-run business and they are warm, welcoming and incredibly knowledgable.
If you a novice to ring shopping, as I was, they are wonderful about walking you through options and explaining terminology. Donna got out 5 or 6 different diamonds to show us what carat, cut and clarity look like under magnification. It was fascinating! The experience at Joint Venture was a welcome change from all of the other 'big box' jewelry stores around the triangle area. In fact, we're such fans that we're in the car now going back there to have them make our custom wedding bands! Thanks, Joint Venture!

I recently went to joint venture to s.ee if they could consign some estate jewelry I found the appraiser to be rude and very superior acting. I was told none of my jewelry was saleable and that my appraisals were a "disservice" to me. I will certainly not return and FYI I sold some of the unsolvable jewelry for more than $1000 later in the day

Do not go to this Jeweler! My husband and I had the worst experience. They not only lied about what they could do for us, but then ruined what we ordered twice. They then lied again about fixing it and we ended up paying almost twice as much as they said it would be. And we never even got the ring we asked for to begin with! These people lie and cheat. They will say anything so you have to pay in the end.

I was in the adjoining store, Peachy Keen, before checking out their jewelry. I never made it to the other side of the store because 3 of the employees were yelling and cursing at each other loudly and I was scared to venture over. How embarrassing. Although the staff might be family, that is no excuse to act unprofessional. I feel bad for the boutique that shares a space with them. I won't be back.

I made an appointment for a Saturday afternoon, showed up with a fistful of rings inherited from my mother, and proceeded to be blown away by the friendly, cheerful, informative customer service from all staff, including the owners. They took plenty of time to explain the terminology necessary to describe the quality and value of all of my mother's pieces, and were very patient with my utter lack of jewelry knowledge.
When I switched direction and started shopping for rings, they were equally helpful and took plenty of time to ask about my preferences, my style, and my price range. I never felt pressured or like I was getting a sales pitch. Great experience and highly recommended!
