Every time I walk into Herteen and Stocker they are always so welcoming! I have used them for appraisals, cleaning and purchased several pieces from them now. Their team is so knowledgeable and helpful if I have questions. Even comparing pieces they have given me honest feedback and recommendations which I really appreciate! After 30 years, I was in need of a refreshed wedding ring. Terry listened to my rough description of how I'd like a new band designed, incorporating my original diamond. In an instant he showed me an example of a band that was EXACTLY what I was thinking. Kate worked with me, helping me to visualize my diamond set on the new band design, sharing different band widths.

Working with Kate is so much fun, she made redesigning such an important piece easy & is so knowledgable about what is best for me. I was so excited a few weeks later, when Kate texted me, "It's here, it's here!" Thank you Terry & Kate, working with you is like working with awesome trusted friends.

We chose Herteen & Stocker for a custom wedding ring set after a recommendation from a friend, and I am so glad we did! I would absolutely recommend to anyone who is looking for custom jewelry. I had heirloom family rings from important relatives who had recently passed, and wanted to make a new custom piece using the stones. We met with Kate who took incredible care of us from the first time we met to picking up the finished piece.

We were able to text back and forth with any questions or updates, and she got back to me quickly every single time. I was able to fully trust her and H&S through the entire process. We had an initial consultation where Kate sketched a few ideas out with us, then we received a digital rendering of what Kate had created. I had quite a few changes I wanted made from the first rendering, so we met and Kate was SO understanding and supportive, ensuring that everything was changed how I wanted and envisioned.

The second rendering reflected all our changes beautifully, so we moved forward with sending in the original pieces and receiving a mold to try on and make any final changes. The finished product is absolutely stunning. It is more perfect than I could have imagined. Most importantly, it is very reminiscent of my grandmother's wedding ring while still being modern and timeless. I am so grateful for the care and creativity Kate and the Herteen & Stocker crew put into making a gorgeous, perfect-for-me piece.

We have purchased multiple items here including my engagement and wedding rings here. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I would not go anywhere else to purchase jewelry as no one else would be as attentive to their customers.

I went to Herteen & Stocker to get an engagement ring for my fiance. I worked with Kate and it was amazing. I recommend her to any/every one who has any jewelry need. She will literally work with whatever idea or picture you have. The best part about Kate and Herteen & Stocker is that they are very personable and will bring your idea to life, I witnessed it first hand with the engagement ring for my fiance! H&S has been our "go to" jewelers since we arrived in Iowa City in 1978. They are very helpful and professional. A full service jeweler for all of our special gifts!

We have had an amazing experience with Kate and Herteen and Stocker. They worked with us to create my custom engagement band and our wedding rings, and were so patient with us in the design process. When we had to change our wedding date due to COVID, they worked with us to get our wedding bands done in time. With our wedding being not what we originally pictured, having our wedding rings has been even more important.

My fiance brought my ring I smashed at work in and they were able to fix it right there and charged 1/14 of what Helzburg, where we bought the ring, quoted us. Can definitely say they have gained themselves some future customers with the great service they provided!
