Craig Coyne Jewelers

Paid about $2400 to have my wedding band custom made by CC. Although it was a sapphire band of platinum, I have so far had 3 stones fall out on separate occasions over the course of only 3 years. I have taken it to a well respected Annapolis Jeweler Ron George, who told me the walls of the ring are too thin for daily wear, and he will have to remake the entire ring to avoid future stones coming out.

What a waste! The CC proprietors were consistently rude and inappropriate. Definitely do not recommend this shop. Further he knew very well that the ring had failed because he fixed it the first time that stones fell out. Two other jewelers put in writing that the ring was faulty. I am perfectly willing to share their written statements. It is obvious by his response he remains remorseless because he mentioned my business in a thinly veiled attempt to retaliate for perceived unkindness.

If he was really remorseful he would have offered to fix it again. He could not care less. Ultimately I paid to have the ring remade and sapphires replaced with brighter stones, which is what I requested originally. Horrible experience.

Josh and Sam are truly wonderful to work with. They patiently helped my fiance to pick out the perfect engagement ring that would match my grandmothers wedding band. The ring is beautiful is a perfect match for the band. It means so much to me that they really took the time to make sure that everything would look so great. We just picked up his wedding band from them last week! No surprise - it is also beautiful and we are so happy with it.

His passion for the art and craft of jewelry making is evident, and his patience in explaining and showing the microscopic detail of each piece completes the experience. We didn't just "buy a ring". we captured a little piece of history to keep with us for a long time. Simply put, I can't imagine a better experience in buying an engagement ring for my now fiancee. I had never really shopped for jewelry before, and Sam put me at ease quickly not only with the process of what to look for, but also with his store's impressive inventory. I was able to work with him to describe what would be the perfect ring for my fiancee specifically, and was able to build a ring that has been getting rave reviews from everyone who has seen it since the proposal.

I couldn't be more happy with the finished product. Sam also was able to work with me to fit the ring in my budget and set up a customer-friendly payment plan. I don't plan to ever come back to Coyne for another engagement ring! But I definitely plan to be back for future purchases after this great experience.

I've been a long time Craig Coyne customer. I go there for everything, and have always had a positive experience. The people that work there are great and very knowledgeable. Their service has always been reliable, and I always leave the store feeling that I got the very best price, quality, and style. I personally am a big fan because Sam custom made my wife's rings. She thinks they are the perfect set, and I know I got a great value for the awesome service I received. My recommendation is to go to Craig Coyne for trustworthy service, and consider using them for your engagement rings. In my opinion, it's nice knowing your ring from Craig Coyne is unique and it adds specialness versus buying from a large chain store.

Wonderful customer service and individual attention to detail. I worked with Sam and Josh to find my (now) wife's engagement ring and both of our wedding bands. Craig Coyne carries a lot of unique estate jewelry which, combined with their expertise and friendliness, sets them apart from the competition. We purchased our wedding bands here, one of which was a custom design. We are THRILLED with the results! Sam, Josh and Linda were very helpful in the process of selecting the rings--and Sam had great ideas for my custom band. The customer service is outstanding and I cannot recommend them enough! My engagement ring was purchased here and I love it. It is a beautiful estate piece, and although it was entirely too large for my hand (could not even keep it on my thumb), it was re-sized seamlessly and within a week. On top of a beautiful product and expertly rendered service, they made me feel excited and welcome in their lovely shop. Most importantly to me, they made my fiance's shopping experience as enjoyable as I think it could have been. Enthusiastically recommended!

Sam at Craig Coyne is awesome! Not only is he knowledgeable, but he is patient! While looking for the perfect engagement ring which can be quite overwhelming (and yes, I had gone to tons of different stores looking for a design that was unique), he made it fun and easy. Sam had me try on a variety of different rings as an exercise to determine what kind of style I liked.

He spent several hours talking with my boyfriend and I explaining how each ring is made, the different types of settings and different ways a stone can be held, and the differences between the metals used. Any question you have, he will answer, and he will answer IN DETAIL. It is amazing. You can tell that Sam loves his work, and there is definitely a quality in his products that you will not find elsewhere.

My fiancee and I were not looking forward to the engagement ring shopping process. I did not want to deal with salespeople, and I hate big box stores. A friend of ours suggested Craig Coyne, a small business in Old Ellicott City, and we are so thankful to have found them! Sam, Josh (and their dog Lambchop) were so friendly and reassuring. They helped us have FUN with the process while staying true to who we were.

We never felt pressured, and they worked with my fiancee on all parts of the process from ordering to payment, and we could not be happier with the result. I now have a one-of-a-kind ring that was handcrafted especially for me, and while I do not know exactly how much my fiancee spent on the ring, he seemed quite satisfied as well.
