I scheduled an appointment 6 months out with Ryan Cumberlidge. I paid a deposit and they just now told me that I would have to go to a tattoo removal place before he can do a tattoo for me when he clearly knew ahead of time what my tattoo looked like and he was so sure that he would be able to do it as he said, "with no problem". If he wasn't able to do this he would have been able to tell me the same day I was at the shop in person when I scheduled and set up the appointment.
The most frustrating part is they said they sent a refund to an account I do not even have have and told me to dispute it. He schedules so far out just to have a deposit and doesn't even come through. Don't book with him.

I had an appointment scheduled with Bonnie at painted temple for the beginning of January. I was called on a work trip unexpectedly/short notice and requested to see if she could squeeze me in the morning of. She couldn't and no harm done, I asked to just reschedule. The reschedule date didn't work out because she got Covid. All of this was fine but she put the responsibility on me to keep reaching out to her to reschedule.
It became an issue when the only correspondence I had with her was through text (she didn't answer any calls). Multiple texts went unanswered and it became impossible to get ahold of her. Once I finally did after threatening to go somewhere else, she tried to blame me for texting her after business hours. I didn't expect an immediate response, but maybe the next day?
Not a month later only because I reached out to her. Probably a great artist but forcing your clients to reach out to you to reschedule when you break an appointment and then guilt tripping them for doing so "after hours" is extremely unprofessional. And once I finally did get a rescheduled appointment, she pushed me out to April 15 (two months from now). No accommodation for canceling our previous appointment.

This is a review for Painted Temple Tattoo - Orem. Brennan Walker did two of my tattoos at Arcane Tattoo when he was there and loyal as I am I followed him here! I came in for a touch up on a large forearm pice, and get an additional 2 small arm tattoos. The shop, despite being remodeled was clean, well decorated and organized. I felt confident that my tattoo station was being set up in a sanitary way that would provide the safest experience for me and my artist.
I loved the individual stations each artist got and the storage provided so that the area could stay organized. The waivers you fill out are thorough and touch on all concern points for both artist and client. The chairs are comfy enough, it's hard when you're sitting for hours on end but the end result is worth it! I got my free touch up and paid the shop minimum for $120 (1 hour) and got 2 small tattoos. 1 of ny birth year and another of celestial lines over my elbow. Very happy and please with the results! With tattoos you pay for what you get and I definitely got my moneys worth!

Ashes will now be my go-to tattoo artist! I've been to and have things done from the popular shops around town and I know everyone has different styles, but I feel like she puts a lot of care, effort, and love on what she makes. She is a very talented artist and it shows (https://instagram.com/ashesbardole). A bonus: the shop is very clean, the vibe is chill, and everyone in the shop is friendly. Come check them out!

I got my first tattoo here from Chris Rose. Before I got my tattoo, I went all over SLC to find intelligent artists, clean spaces, and individual rooms. Painted Temple was the only one that fit the bill. Chris was extremely patient and helpful. He was very blunt with his opinions and told me he thought getting a first tattoo on my ribs was a bad idea, so he helped me find an alternative.
A year later, I am still loving my tattoo and would not pass up the chance to get another one from Chris. He's a weird and cool guy and he only had interesting and intelligent things to say. I truly appreciate the experience he gave me, and it was totally worth the money.

I was tattooed at the Salt Lake location by Daniel Walker. I was incredibly happy with the results. He's an amazing artist. Extremely nice and really took the time with me to figure out my tattoo. My tattoo healed quickly and beautifully. He is booked a few months out, but honestly it just validates the fact that he is an amazing tattoo artist.
Completely worth the wait and worth every penny. (you definitely get what you pay for as far as tattoos go). I would definitely recommend him. His natural style tattoos are unbelievable. http://danielwalkertattoo.com/home.html

I had my first tattoo done here in August and my experience was the best it could be. For most people at a certain point the adrenalin hits and the pain stops, my adrenalin doesn't function so I was pain the entire time I knew it would be this way. My artist was kind and did everything he could to put me at ease and take the pain away. I really appreciated his patience especially because I know I was not an easy customer.
I followed their care instructions and it healed beautifully and everyone who has seen it has commented on the beauty of it. I went in with a few ideas of my own but they customized them to fit my body better and I am glad they did. I can recommend this parlor enough. I've had several friends go there at my recommendation and they have also had positive experiences.
As far as price goes, they are very reasonable. As with all tattoo parlors go in with an idea of size/color/placement and they can give you a rough estimate. I selected moderate simply because I am in love with my tattoo and feel satisfied with the price.

Oak is very talented and nice. Good experience in general. First tattoo here. Oak was very adamant about making my tattoo feminine and went thru three or four drawings before he was happy. I returned months ago and was disappointed to see the shop had turned into a thriving business. Good for them, bad for customer service. I felt ignored the second time I went in. No more cozy sitting area, lots of booths now. I recommend Oak 100% but wish the shop would go back to the old way.02
