This is one of the best pawn shops I've seen why can't more pawn shops be as fair as they are. If your in a bind need cash have something of value bring it on in they will try to help you get what you need to help you out of that bind. They even have really reasonable prices on many items whatever you need come here they are kind care people make you feel welcome. Id definitely do business with them agian.

Chicago Pawners is a great place to sell or Loan money! I worked with Paul and sold a tennis bracelet and Purse to them, they gave me a good price. I also took out a loan (pawned) a piece of jewelry recently when I was in a jam with money. They were even so thoughtful as to check on me to make sure I got home alright leaving there taking Public transportation

Dan and Paul have been a pillar and financial resource to help this multi family mixed community. As a black man I can say I have grown to love them as uncles and my mother at times always gets the best care when she needs financial assistance. Chicago Pawners and Jewelers are second to none in the Midwest when it comes to helping people out. The employees are friendly, fast and knowledgeable about the areas they are serving customers in. Love the hospitality these guys give. They are fare and just with giving you the best price for pawned or sold goods. They have a wonderful selection of gold, silver, diamonds and platinum jewelry. And wide selection of electronics.

HAD THE WORST EXPERIENCE WITH PAUL. BOUGHT A BASS FROM REVERB. Bass had serious electronical issues. Paul told me when he received the broken bass back that there was nothing wrong with it and to change my meds and to go fuck myself and then tried to keep 124.00 in shippping. I got it back because Paul sent videos to Reverb that demonstrated the bass has serious issues and Paul thought just because it made a sound it played well.

I got my shipping back from reverb when they realized Paul was full of it. Phil @ reverb at first thought the distortion was the video. Upon enlightening him, he realized that the distortion and the lousy signal was actually coming from the broken bass. Paul said I had buyer's remorse. If I did, why then did I go and buy the same exact model for more money on Reverb? Paul's full of BS.

The only remorse I have is buying a broken bass from a sleaze bag pawn broker and then having to fight for what's right which was a full refund. Thank you Reverb. Buyer beware!

I visited this store when I was in the area a few weeks ago. All I can say is I was extremely impressed by how knowledgeable and friendly the staff were. I tend to ask a lot of questions, and they were extremely patient and thoughtful when helping me with my purchase. I'll be returning soon, and have already told a few of my friends how great of an experience I had. This place rocks!

Danny, Paul and the entire Chicago Pawners staff were so helpful with the entire pawning process and helped me not only pawn off my items, but find other items in return. I will always come here to pawn my items and continue to receive such great customer service!

I lost my backpack and computer on the train and a guy tried to "pawn it" at Chicago Pawn and Jewelry. Danny was a bit suspicious so he opened the computer and saw some texts on I-message that confirmed my computer was lost. He called one of the numbers and I had my computer back within an hour. These guys run a top notch shop. Hard to find a place that has integrity these days!

Left my backpack with a very expansive apple computer inside on an EL Train cart. Thought all hope was lost until I got a call from Chicago Pawners & Jewelers. Apparently a woman had came in hoping to pawn the computer. The employees were able to convince her to report it instead and even paid her a reward in the mean time. Since my computer was charged they're were able to find my dad's phone number and get in contact with me.

I came in later that day, and had no issue or hassle retrieving my computer and leaving a reward for the woman to retrieve when she came back. Not much of a pawner myself, but I can say that if the ethical judgment and savoir-faire displayed in my situation is any indication of the business as a whole than worry not. Real genuine and nice employees.

Highly recommend. Hassle free, friendly and amazing service, and most importantly downright good people.

Terrible customer service- the older man behind the counter was unaccommodating / unable to answer common questions, and generally annoyed by my very presence- i had $$$ to spend and simply wanted to see about 5 or 6 pieces- all of which seemed very arduous for this prick. He told me all the stones in an ring i was very interested jn were DIAMONDS--- "what about the red ones?" I asked- "diamonds!

All diamonds! Where do you see RED ones?!" He replied.unmmmm the EYES of the indian ring was head of a chief indian". "Oh! Rubys then!" He said.wow, im really feeling confident now buddy.am i paying for f***ing rubies or garnets? I walked out as my potential business and all of 5 questions was way to much for this place to care about.

The best place in town to deal with, while no one wants to pawn their items if you have to this is the spot to go. Family owned and operated, so they treat you like family, I will always deal with them for hard times as well as for any purchases. Guys Denise loves you.

I called in about a bicycle ad I came across on Craigslist. Everyone who answered the phone was extremely brute and rude. I was transferred to Louis and after explaining that I would not be in Chicago for another week and that I was willing to make a deposit to hold the bike so I could check it out all I was told was "I'm in the business of selling things, not holding things" and then Louis abruptly ended the call. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I would recommend avoiding this place unless absolutely necessary.

First time at a pawn shop. Just had a drawer of accumulated silver from too many trips to Mexico in my youth. Went exactly as I had seen on tv, got a good price and some extra cash for the weekend.

Interesting place. Had reason to do business with them recently. They seemed to offer a fair price for what I was selling. Surprisingly they have new, in the box merchandise like microwaves and TVs. I'll keep them in mind next time I have a need for such. I'd do business with them again.

I was looking for a place to bring an old pair of earrings and necklace from my past that no longer needed to take up space in jewelry box and wasn't sure where to go for an honest offer. I have never bought or sold anything in a pawn shop before. I had some old estate jewelry that I had been meaning to try to sell and Ebay just seemed too hard to manage. Staff were courteous and explained the entire process to me. In the end, I think I got a very fair price for my jewelry and I will definitely bring more. Clean, safe, well maintained shop. We will be back to sell but also to buy as well! I was walked to my car, very helpful.

I would have NEVER found them had these guys not called me to let me know the thief tried to pawn my items at their store. I am so grateful that they were honest and allowed me to recover my items! I cannot recommend them or applaud their business enough!
