Adel's childhood playground in Tunisia, Carthage-Tunis, rose from the remains of many rich cultures, including the Phoenicians, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, Andalusians, and Ottomans. They all left behind a diverse tapestry of knowledge, stories and artifacts. When Adel came to New York City in 1998 and witnessed the richness of all the different faces and flavors, he felt right at home.

My husband and I were looking for a wedding ring, for me, without a lot of success. I don't care for traditional wedding ring styles and so many jewelry stores we went to seemed to be more of the 'same'. My husband found this store and it was hard to pull yourself away from one display case to the next. There are so many unique and beautiful pieces of jewelry & art to look at.
We ended up picking a ring out of the Real Steel collection, the Owner's personal work. Barbara & her staff put a lot of genuine effort into helping us find exactly the right ring, stone, and size. The final ring is a beautiful representation of our commitment and it has a lot of meaning to us. I highly recommend this store and their staff. Thank you!

Gorgeous shop full of artisan-made glass, wood work, jewelry, pottery, ceramics, felted wool purses, and much more. They represent artists from near and far, and also do custom jewelry work. It is so fun to shop here for unique, high quality gifts! On my last visit I purchased two lovely wood boxes with inscriptions that are perfect for wedding gifts.

The first time I became aware of this shop's existence, I was waiting to pick my girlfriend up from a show at the knitting factory. It was nighttime, and as I walked by, I was drawn to the beautiful pieces of art glass they had on display in the windows. I went in a couple weeks later to see their items in the light of day, and get a better look at what I'd glimpsed through the window.
Some of the stuff in here is fairly pedestrian, but other pieces are magnificent. They are very knowledgeable about their products and will tell you about the artist who made the piece(s) you are interested in. I ended up purchasing a vase for my girlfriend and received a small bio about the artist in case I was interested in more of his work. They offered to wrap the piece (as it was a present), during which time I had a pleasant conversation with the woman behind the desk.
A few weeks down the road, I received a hand-written thank you note. Top notch. I highly recommend this place if you are interested in art glass, jewelry, or other beautiful items.
