My husband and I have been doing business with Gold'n Treasures since 1985, first from Todd's mom Gloria, and now from Todd since he took over the family biz many years ago. We wouldn't even think of going anywhere else. Todd is so knowledgeable and trustworthy. We have also had him do appraisals. We love going into the shop. Todd is a fun guy with a great personality. This review contains two stories: One of them is about jewelry, and the other is about *my* jewelry. Shall we start with my jewelry? Yes, let's do that. My engagement ring has been perched on my hand ~24/7 for the last ~3 years, and OH MY GOD I LOVE IT. I just bloody well love it. This ring is the best insurance my partner ever bought -- even when I am ready to run (not walk!) back to singledom, I think, "But I can't get divorced; I have this absolutely perfect ring pair." (I mean, I'm sure people still wear their wedding+engagement rings after getting unmarried, but it seems like maybe that would be weird?) Todd has a whole process for helping people find an engagement ring, and it's. very chill. Very, very chill.

This is not -- not upon NOT -- the kind of thing where you walk into a mall & some person with a Muppet-level fake smile says a bunch of cliched BS while trying to upsell you some overpriced piece that they swear you can afford on their secretly 30% APR credit card. Nope. Gold'n Treasures is run on *relationships.* This is the most delightful & delightfully human jewelry-buying experience you will ever have.

This is like. you walk in. Todd, who clearly loves people (but in a laid-back way that's still comfortable for introverts -- will vouch!), says hello, offers you your choice of beverage, and welcomes you to his back room studio, where he has not one, but several, towers of trays of example rings. And whooo-boy, he's got EVERYTHING. You want classic? Got it. Modern? Got it. Looks like an antique? Yup. Looks like a Calder sculpture? Uh-huh. Simple? Absolutely. Batshit crazy giant grandma rings that take up half your finger?

In spades! You weren't looking for diamonds? He's got a whole array of Sharpies for you to recolor the example rings to your liking. And Todd is *not* in a hurry. "Play!" he says. "Have fun!" he encourages. Oh, you brought your toddler with you? She gets a beverage & is also welcome to play with the example rings. This place is magic. I spent a semi-forever going through example rings, & had selected about a dozen candidates. and Todd sent me home with homework!

He gave me a URL & said, look through these, let me know what jumps out at you. I clicked & clicked & clicked, & emailed Todd with at least a half-dozen additional candidates. He said he'd order those models, and we set another appointment time. But here's the best & most amazing part: This whole time, I was more-or-less looking for a ring that I liked well enough that my partner also liked.

We have *radically* different tastes, and I have a long history of pathological people-pleasing; I guess, on some unconscious level, I felt like the tastes & opinions of the person purchasing the ring were more important than the tastes & opinions of the person who was actually going to wear the ring. I liked something about each of the rings I'd identified for Todd, and also they were all compromise designs.

Somehow -- and reader, truly I have no idea how, other than perhaps by being a second- or third-generation jeweler -- Todd sorted through a pile of gold, diamonds, & red herrings to find EXACTLY the right-for-me ring. We're sitting in that bright, sunny showroom, drinking coffee & champagne (respectively), and what we think we're doing is coming to see 18-someodd model rings & color them all in and deliberate all day. Todd says casually, "Oh hey, we just got some new rings in -- I want to show you something." And he comes back with The Ring. It's so absolutely perfect that I don't even bother to contain my enthusiasm. Todd hands me the Sharpies.

I doctor up the model. Having now seen this thing, I am done with compromising. And just like that, Todd gets on his computer & finds the right kind of stone in the right color in the right size for my setting, and somehow manages to bring it all in under the $number my partner had quoted for a budget. (And then we bought some wedding bands.) This, finally, is Story #2.

There are two ways to run a jewelry business: one is where you take every customer for as much as you can get (because you've got high overhead & you know like 1/3 of them are going to default on those credit cards), and the other is the relationship model -- where you get to know people, and where they keep coming back to you (and bringing their friends & family) because you're just that awesome.

Case in point: My family's been buying jewelry from Todd for 35 years, & I didn't live anywhere near the Twin Cities when all of this was happening. There's still nowhere else I would have gone to look for a ring, & nowhere else I would have found *this* ring. And yes, I'll be back. :)

The team at Gold'n Treasures helped us design and build our custom engagement ring and wedding bands. From the first time we walked into the door, Todd helped ease our stress by having a fun and welcoming environment with a back room that felt safe and wine to take the edge off. We were not pressured to select or buy the ring on spot and he left us alone so that we were able to talk openly with each other about budgets, likes, dislikes, and styles when building out the ring that we wanted for our wedding day.

I was incredibly impressed with the CAD drawing and way that they presented the ring for approval before building it and when it was delivered I couldn't help but come to tears with how it was made exactly the way we wanted them to be. The entire process of selecting Gold'n Treasures felt natural and right to us. We shopped at a different name brand wedding store and felt like we were "just another customer". Todd got to know us and asked us about our story and made book recommendations on marriage.

We are so thankful! Something else that made the experience so much extra special is when I picked up the ring before the proposal, Todd gave me a smaller ring box so that I could conceal the ring in my pocket before popping the question. My fiance still tells the story about how she was looking in my pockets the day of trying to find the big box and was completely surprised when I was able to pull the ring out of my pocket without her noticing.

The box Todd gave me kept the proposal a surprise and made our day extra special. Todd, you made this typically stressful experience a breeze and allowed my fiance and I to enjoy the experience of ring shopping instead of having it be an anxious experience. I've found little gifts and big gifts over the last ten years or so. I've found them to be super personable and super helpful.

When I sat down to write this (and I apologize upfront for length) all I knew was that no matter what I wrote, it couldn't possibly do justice to my experience. They say that you don't remember what a person always says, but you remember the way they make you feel. Before going into the store, that is almost a little hidden if you're not looking for it on Grand Ave., I had a single encounter with the owner, Todd Gimble, at a networking event several months prior.

I remembered that he knew a lot about cool rocks, was incredibly passionate about everything he discussed, and had an amazing personality. I also knew that all of my friends had gone to big box jewelers and had positive experiences. I'm pretty passionate about keeping things local; so I very skeptically decided to visit Todd and see what he had to offer (keep in mind that I honestly didn't know if I was going to an antique jeweler or that guy out of Aladdin with all of the watches in his trench coat). Wow.

I had met this guy once and I was greeted like I just got to Thanksgiving dinner from out of state and didn't tell anyone I was coming. From there it was honestly one of the most uplifting, positive, NON-JUDGMENTAL, no-pressure, non-salesy experiences I've had (and I've spent 15 years in sales). If you're looking for a quick, thoughtless, costume-jewelry purchase then this is not your place, but if you're looking for meaning, education, value, friendship-quality service and no buyers remorse then you're doing yourself a disservice if you don't at least visit Gold'N Treasures. Todd can tell you his own story better than I can, but I'm now looking for reasons to buy jewelry just to have a reason to go back into the store without being creepy. Bravo to the staff and Todd.

Very pleased with Gold'n Treasures. I had several pieces of fine jewelry that needed cleaning & repair. I also needed a new gold box chain. Everything was cleaned for free. The repairs were so minimal there was no charge for that either. The chain was a custom order because of the length I needed. It arrived 4 days sooner than they promised. They are our new family jeweler.

I originally discovered this place by searching online for rings I found at Wedding Day and Shane Co. I learned that Gold'n Treasures happened to carry these same rings, but for significantly less. I didn't know what to expect walking into a place with a name like this one, and with it being fairly small, I thought I was going to be ambushed by Sales Reps, but it was by far my best ring-shopping experience.

The entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There's absolutely no pressure, and they are happy to just talk and answer questions. I did not have enjoyable experiences at other jewlery stores where I felt preyed upon by the sales reps, and how they seemed to turn the process into a massive time commitment. At Gold'n treasures, they are very quick to help you find the style of ring you want. Then, if you're ready, you can come back and meet with Todd to learn more about the gems and cuts.

That part of the process usually bores me to death, but having wine and listening to Todd's Trip Hop playlist, while he talks about diamonds was actually a blast. The man has such a blast talking and geeking out over diamonds, that it's quite charming. Most importantly, though, he wants you to have the best experience, so he looks at what is the best stone for you, based on the ring, your budget, and preferences.

He doesn't oversell or draw out the process longer than it needs to be. The staff at Gold'n Treasures definitely care about making the experience as best as possible for the customer, and I will happily go through them again for any future jewelry needs.

My wife & I have been coming to Gold'n Treasures for a few years now. Todd helped me design a ring using the gold from my original wedding band and the remaining diamond from a pair of earrings in which my wife had lost the match. We also bought a beautiful set of earrings for my wife, this time with clasps that won't allow them to be lost. Todd also cleaned our rings and repaired my wife's wedding band in only a few minutes, and it didn't cost a dime. Todd and the staff here raise the bar for customer service that will make you wonder why you ever shopped at a jewelry store chain. Todd made us feel like family. His sincerity, honesty, and trust must be experienced to believe. We won't shop anywhere else.

What a marvelous place. We went to Gold'n Treasures to get my wedding band resized. It was a fantastic experience -- at once totally professional and completely personal. We had a lovely conversation with Gloria, who also offered to clean my engagement ring (so thoughtful!), and the work was quick and perfectly done. We'll most definitely be back -- and we'll be singing their praises to anyone who'll listen! A rare and fantastic gem. (No pun.)

We've been longtime fans of Todd and his charming store- and I was reminded of why this past week when I stopped in. We purchased my engagement ring and our wedding bands here over 10 years ago. Over time my engagement ring had gotten misshapen and I couldn't force it on my stubby finger anymore. So on Friday I popped over to Gold'n Treasures (unannounced, I might add) to visit Todd and Monica.

A few hours later I picked up my ring, along with my wedding band, both gleaming and back in newlywed shape. And although I'm sure my ring bent due to regular wear and tear that happens over time, they took care of it for me free of charge! I still get compliments almost every day on my solitaire, and I always direct admirers to Todd and his staff. Thanks, Gold'n Treasures- you're the best in the business!

I worked with Gold'n Treasures to have a custom engagement ring made for my girlfriend (now fiance). Not only was the entire process incredibly streamlined and amazing, but the ring completely blew away my expectations (and shocked my fiance in its sheer awesomeness and beauty). My (very rough) idea was totally brought to life and then some. Everyone at G'nT is just so friendly, helpful, and enthusiastic; the experience was nothing short of spectacular. Hands down the best jewelry store in the cities. The owner Todd is amazing, he is friendly and super informative. He can walk you through the difficult venture of engagement ring buying. I truly appreciated how he explained everything there is to know about making an informed decision and seriously told us to shop around and make sure we were comfortable with our experience there.

No one could compare. The selection isn't giant, but if you have a ring in mind and can not find it there, they can make a custom ring for you. Gold n'treasures is my favorite jewelry store with the best employees in the jewelry industry. I had a family ring repaired in March. The repair was extensive and they did a fabulous job. I also brought in my wedding ring. For ideas on what to do with it after my divorce. The very kind manager/owner informed me on what I could do and gave me the tools to make the right decision when I am ready.

I now am excited on what will happen with my ring. The selection of jewelry is not huge, but the quality is beautiful. If your looking for a ring or new piece to add to your collection, stop by this store on grand ave.

I'm in the process of having them make custom engagement/wedding rings for myself and my boyfriend and they are the most genuine, fun, caring staff I've seen in a very long time.

They truly care about their job and the positive attitude and commitment to making sure you're happy definitely shows. I've tried the big box fancy engagement ring stores and wasn't impressed. I'm incredibly picky and know exactly what I want. When I have my heart set on something, good luck changing my mind. These guys get it and are there 100% to work with me to make sure I'm fully over the top satisfied.

We haven't even purchased my ring yet and I already love working with them. They don't work on commission so there's no pressure to spend your entire life savings on a piece of jewelry. I plan to redesign my grandma's wedding ring so it becomes my wedding ring, but I was so nervous to entrust a very important piece of jewelry to anyone. I walked in and met with Kathleen - she instantly made me at ease with the process. She pinpointed my style almost instantly and came up with multiple ideas for me to do with my grandma's ring.

I live near this store and walk by it often. Every time I stop in to window shop all the lovely pieces I have been treated with warmth and kindness, even when I made it very clear that I was only looking and not planning to buy. The staff gleefully pulls out all their sparkling rings and say "play! Have fun! Enjoy!". For a jewelry lover like myself this is quite fun.
