David Hakimi was an absolute pleasure to work with. He first walked me through what I needed to know when purchasing a diamond and was very patient with all my questions. His prices were much better than other vendors I spoke to when discussing the same size/quality. Even though I'm not a local buyer, he video chatted each step of the build to make sure I was comfortable with the product I purchased. I can't stress how helpful and easy it was working with him. It also helps that I now have a fiance as a result of all the hard work!

I worked with David to reset my engagement ring. The result was absolutely beautiful and I am thrilled! I also brought several pairs of diamond earrings to him and asked if they could be combined into one pair. Again, I am thrilled and have already worn them several times! I came in with a very basic internet education of the 4Cs and a mock-up I built on Blue Nile, and David not only offered better quality diamonds for significantly less, but also partnered with me to personalize the band with aquamarine gems.

With a somewhat tight timeline of 3 weeks, he made the entire ring buying entire process as painless as it gets, with timely updates on mock-ups, prototypes, and pick-up. And when the moment came, without any clue a proposal was coming or input into the ring, my fiance loved it, and receives frequent, unsolicited compliments on it going on 13 months now. My advice: go to Hakimi and rest assured knowing you're in good hands, so you can put your own focus toward the important part - the proposal itself.

David and his dad are the best! Great work, always friendly, good quality and good price! I wouldn't dare go anywhere else. Listens to exactly what you want, helps design, has good ideas and executes! I purchased nice diamond earrings and a nice diamond for a necklace. Can't wait to go back for more. My husband and I went to Hakimi Gem Import for my engagement ring, as well as both our wedding bands, and HIGHLY recommend them! My husband had a family diamond that he brought to David for my engagement ring, and the setting David made is gorgeous, modern, and exactly what I wanted! I have very small fingers (3.5) and my husband thought I was a full size larger, so I ended up having to come to David a few times to get the sizing perfect. David was patient, a pleasure to work with, and got my ring to fit perfect, plus he was always happy to get it cleaned in the meantime!

When it was time to pick our wedding bands, we knew we had to go back to David. I wanted the band to be an exact match to my engagement ring setting and it turned out stunning. My experience at Hakimi Gem was so positive. I had an idea in my mind of what type of ring I wanted (upgrading my wedding set after it was stolen) and David really understood it. He actually had a vintage setting in his store that I fell in love with and he worked really hard to find the perfect diamond for the setting. He even offered to set a diamond that I found online.

But his diligence paid off and he found me a much better option. He and his father are thoughtful and they work to please the customer. Communication was great and I never felt pressure. I will go back for any of my future jewelry needs.

We purchased our stunning wedding bands with the excellent help of David. He has a great eye for style and only sells top quality jewels and metals. First of all, everything he does is completely custom. He only showed me top of the line options and was able to provide me with an excellent price for what we ended up purchasing, being respectful of my budget.

I came in initially and tried on a few bands in different styles. Then I came back a couple more times after that and David was always patient and helpful, until I finally decided on exactly what I wanted. He suggested an infinity band of 10 pt round diamonds and explained that is better than half way since the ring will realistically turn throughout the day, and would be nice to have especially if I wear it on its own.

The ring turned out absolutely stunning and more gorgeous than I could imagine. I am so glad I listened to his advice about choosing an infinity band because I wear it on its own now all the time. David also helped me to secretly engrave a message inside my husbands ring which I surprised him with at our wedding! I can't wait to find more reasons to come back!

He was extremely helpful in narrowing down exactly what my (now) fiance was looking for. David provided expert advice and promised to provide any service the ring might need in the future. Working with David was a great experience! I didn't provide my now husband with much direction, but David was able to create a beautiful custom ring from guidance such as "I like rose gold" and "I think morganite is pretty." We both went back to get our wedding bands and David was truly helpful when we provided what we liked and the budget we were working with. We could not recommend him enough!

I started my search by calling my closest family friends (Wholesalers) and asking them for pricing guidance and advice. I was presented numerous options from numerous jewelers. After looking at +/- 20 stones, I decided I'd call Hakimi Gem Imports (I had a friend that purchased from them and was extremely happy with the ring.) They seemed like a long shot to compete with the other jewelers based on the fact that the others were family friends, however David came out with a no bullshit aggressive offer from the very beginning. David was extremely accommodating and offered to meet with me at 7:30am (a few hours before the office opened!).

It was obvious the stone was beautiful and the price was better than the alternatives. I decided to proceed with David and Hakimi Gem Imports. If you are looking to purchase an engagement ring or other jewelry, I highly recommend calling this company. Their margins are so small it's hard to believe they can stay in business. I would also like to mention that I am incredibly difficult to please and a nightmare to deal with, so hats off to the guys at Hakimi Gem Imports for bearing with me and providing such excellent service. They treated me like family and offered their insight and advice. This won't be the last purchase I make from them!

The service from the minute I contacted them to actually picking up the ring has been outstanding. They took the time to sit and explain the differences in each stone and setting that we looked at and also did not try to exceed the budget that I had set.
