My husband and I recently celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary and in celebration took a trip to Miami for a couple of days. On our way, while in the airport, we stopped at Erwin Pearl where my husband purchased a pearl necklace for me (Terminal 3 American Airlines). We left on a Saturday and returned on Tuesday. Arriving home Tuesday evening, while taking off the necklace it broke.
The next day I sent an email to the store email address. A representative phoned back and explained to me that I could drive back to the airport to exchange the necklace that I had for less than four days. SHe explained to me that they would not pay for parking and that perhaps I could take the train. Now this was already not turning out to be a positive customer service experience.
I relayed this conversation to my husband and he expressed that it should not be proposed that all of the resolution be placed upon us, the consumer who had purchased a product that broke 4 days after buying it. He continued to have a conversation with the manager who was not helpful at all and did nothing to resolve the issue. He left another message at a "corporate" phone number found on line. No response. THis company does not stand behind it's products and in a day and age where there are so many companies that do, shame on them. Do not shop here.
