Harold (Ted) Allyn opened Allyn's doors in 1930, after purchasing the store at an auction. Wanting to bring an upscale jeweler to Ironton, he built the business based on 3 key principles: honesty, trust, and a good product. These principles were adopted by his son, Tom, in 1958 when he inherited the business.
