I can't say enough about this place and the great people who work there. I have a "vintage" ring that I will treasure for the rest of my life. Republic was helpful and the jeweler so knowledgeable.- he was able to go the extra mile to make it fit my arthitic finger comfortably. I am thrilled. Not an "easy to please" customer, I had been looking for months both locally and online. This ring had to be as perfect, as special and as unique as the relationship it is meant to celebrate. It is. Thank you.

Meant to do this the other day, went in with a neckless to sell was expecting a lower payment for what i had, but instead recived more, these folks are honest in what they do and i enjoy going in. Thank you Republic Jewelery and staff you guys are awesome.

I don't live near Republic Jewelers, but I follow their social media posts which are perfect for "window" shopping for new pieces for my jewelry collection. I appreciate their patient and timely responses to my inquiries. I also love how quick items ship and how elegantly packaged they are upon arrival. I will continue to trust Republic Jewelers for my jewelry purchases.

I just bought my wife a set of rings here for our 25th anniversary, the staff was so helpful and accommodating. I'll never go anywhere else this is the place for me from now on. Thanks again to all at the store!

Stop in to find my 8 year old son a gold chain and bracelet. Service was outstanding. They did not try to up sale me at all. Highly recommend spend local this season. Make Republic Jewelry a Stop on your list.

Really liked this coin shop. Lots of selection at reasonable prices. I wish the owner had been in because it would have been nice to meet him. Everyone was nice and patient allowing plenty of time for me to browse and talk. Even the customers were nice. Had a great conversation while hunting through bins of coins.

I wish I could give them a negative 5. Three times I have been to their store to sell and three times I have left with what I brought in. It seems they only want jewelry. I took some silver pieces and coins, they turned me away. So I went down the road a bit and Walker out with $600. Too bad for them. The staff is also pretty rude.

Let me start by saying, this place has been around for a long time, so I'm sure they do legit business and treat people well. However, this review is based on MY experience with them. I've been to this place once, and once only. I went in a long time ago, but that doesn't change the experience I went through. I went in to have a battery replaced in my watch.

Simple enough. Should take what, 5 mins to do that? While taking the wrist band apart, one of the springs that connects the band to the watch face, shot up into the air and the employee lost it. Fine, no problem. They have hundreds onsite. Wrong. Did not have the proper sized band spring onsite. I waited there over an hour while they tried to locate one at their location, and ultimately could not.

The "jeweler" finally came to me and said, "I cant find one to replace this, so I can order one and it'll be here in a week, or I can use these pliers and clamp it back on with a different sized spring." Long story short, not only was I there over an hour for a battery replacement, they lost a piece to my watch, then they used pliers to pinch the band to the watch face to get it to stay in place, they also had the balls to charge me for the battery. $5 or whatever it was. Unreal. I've never been back. Maybe this is not how they operate on a regular basis, but this was my one and only experience there.

Learning last week that High School Graduation was back on, left us scrambling to the find the perfect gift for our son. Due to the pandemic we decided that ordering online was the safest option. A Google search led us to Republic Jewelry. The team at Republic were very knowledgeable and helpful. We were able to have the watch engraved in house and received the package a few days after ordering. We are very pleased with our experience and highly recommend.

Best place to purchase jewelry or have jewelry custom made! I could not be happier with Dan or his staff! Best quality, best prices, extremely high quality in house jeweler, and knowledgeable owner and staff that make you feel like family. If you are looking for a wedding ring, watch or any type of jewelry, look no further than this wonderful establishment. The owner Dan Jr and manager Chrissy went above and beyond to help me with my ring. Dan Jr and I exchanged over 30 emails to help correct the ring I had done with them over 2 years ago (yes I am that type of person). If you don't call that customer service, than I don't know what else is. My ring is absolutely stunning and would send anyone I know to this store. Thank you Dan Jr!

We were just on vacation to my home state of Maine, browsing jewelry to find the right engagement ring. We have looked at a few specialty jewelers in the San Fransisco Bay Area where we now live and have not found that "special" one that caught our eye. We (my fiance and I) came to Republic Jewelry with an unclear vision of what we even wanted. I had some experience with Republic and have a close friend who has time and time again suggested them to me for any and all jewelry. Dan Jr. went above and beyond to make us feel wanted and welcome, even running out to the car to make sure we knew he had time for us even while they were busy.

He was very straight forward about what we should be looking at and what options we had. He suggested the estate engagement rings, and said that if we were looking for rose gold he could rhodium the ring for us. We found something quite quickly that we both liked and that had a unique flair with some classic elements. He was able to size and rhodium the ring in less then 3 hrs and then even went as far as to do the appraisal for us before we left.

We could not have asked for a more personal and fantastic experience from a company. I will now be suggesting to any and all friends looking to buy any jewelry to come to Republic, what an amazing team of people and a hidden gem of Central Maine! Thank You Republic for making this such a smooth and easy process!

Republic has an incredible selection and great prices on their jewelry. Their staff is professional and very friendly.

I have add to horrific experiences here. None of the employees all have the same information and nothing that is promised is followed through on. So, I took off and went to gold works down the street and they were incredibly helpful there.

My husband and I have bought multiple pieces of jewelry from Republic and are always impressed with the service and quality of the items we have purchased. I recently had a stone replaced in my husbands tie tack and the quality of he replacement was amazing, you couldn't even tell it wasn't the original stone. We live in Connecticut and go out of our way now to only buy our jewelry at Republic.

I am a long time Republic customer. This company takes great care to provide a great experience. I order off their web site. I appreciate dealing with a small company that cares about their customers. The service, selection and value can't be beat.

I was up in Maine 3 weeks ago and happened upon this Gem (lol pun) of a store. Wife found a beautiful bracelet which was very well priced, son bought baseball cards, and I bought an autographed Red Sox Sports Illustrated and they were generous in negotiating the price. The 2 staff members we interacted with were courteous, professional and not pushy at all. Definitely will stop by here next time I am in town.

UPDATE: The owner of Rupublic contacted me in an act of good customer service to try and rectify my bad experience. If there is something I feel that is lacking in the United States it is great customer service and Dan reaching out to me is great customer service. Unfortunately, I will not be able to take him up on his offer to help and make things better, because I live on the other side of the country, but I completely appreciate him trying to do so.

Thank you. So. I am upgrading my rating to three stars because of this alone. ________________________________________________________ NOT happy with the quality of service at Republic Jewelry. Firstly, I had my wedding ring resized and naturally because it was resized the settings for the diamonds shifted. (The ring has many small sized diamonds along with the engagement diamond.) Within 2 weeks, three of the small diamonds fell out.

I was traveling so two of the diamonds I had to have replaced elsewhere. I went in to talk to them about it and the woman behind the counter seemed less then concerned and explained that just because I paid to have it resized didn't mean that they'd check the integrity of the settings once it was resized. They never advised me to have the prongs checked in my ring once the resizing was done.

They are suppose to be the professionals and it would be wise for the professionals to advise it's customers on such matters. I would have been MORE than happy to pay more money to have my ring serviced properly. ADDITIONALLY, the diamond they did replace sits much deeper than the ones around it so it looks like it is still missing. POOR service. I do not recommend them.
