Services
Werkheiser Jewelers Ltd. was founded by Gary Werkheiser in 1992. We are a full-service independent jewelry store that offers the Lehigh Valley all types of fine & fun jewelry, pearls, diamonds, gems and watches. We believe in building lifetime relationships. The relationship of trust between our staff and our clients is our most valued treasure.
Jewelry can be an expression of your personality, a memorable moment in your life or your family's history. Sometimes you need something extra special and unique. At Werkheiser Jewelers, we can create whatever your heart desires, from updating an old-fashioned family heirloom to designing a one-of-a-kind piece.
During your first visit we'll go over your initial thoughts and styles you like, diamond shapes, mountings, and options available to you. It's great to bring ideas and try on rings to make sure you like those styles (and shapes) on your hand, or to find new ones you might like even better. We'll also discuss budget, with no pressure sales tactics.
If your pearl jewelry seems to have lost its luster, it may just be dirty or have discolored knots. Did you know that pearls are strung with silk, and the silk stringing material absorbs body oil, moisture, and basic grime? Because the silk is so thin, the strands often weaken, get stretched or discolored with the passage of time; thus it is essential to restring your pearls every so often.

Wonderful jewelry store! The staff is so friendly and accommodating. We brought a watch in to have the back engraved for our son's high school graduation that was happening in less than a week. They happily took the job, and had it ready days ahead of the initial expectation. I later brought it back to have some links removed from the band. That visit was as nice as the first. This level of service really made an impression. Thanks again!

Looking to have a watch engraved for son's graduation. Wonderful experience from start to finish. Came in on a Thursday and item done by Saturday and looks perfect! We appreciated the timeliness and quality of the workmanship. The women who assisted us was such a nice person which is reflective of this store overall. Would visit again and recommend for the quality with the added bit of friendly service making for a overall good experience. Thank you!

Werkheiser jewelers did an amazing job designing and fulfilling several items we had made from my mother's wedding anniversary ring as a special keepsake for the granddaughters. Necklaces, bracelets and the ring were absolutely stunning and it was very sentimental to be able to use the stones from her ring. I highly recommend Werkheiser jewelers especially for something as important as a family heriloom! Thank you Doreen!

I'm not a person to bring about negative energy - but my experience with this jeweler should be known to those considering their service. On 1/16, I brought my engagement ring in to get a quote for resizing (down size) and prong retipping. Four days later I received a reasonable price quote via phone and authorized the service. I was told the ring would be finished in "about a week." Upon close inspection of the receipt, I later noticed the saleswoman incorrectly labeled the size (down size).
I called back to correct this, but was lucky to have caught it, as the man calling with the quote did not confirm the size. A week and a half later I called to inquire about the status of the service and the man told me the ring wasn't finished and that "maybe the jeweler will get to it today." Another week and a half goes by, and I called again for a status update.
The woman couldn't tell me anything because they were unable to get the safe open. I waited for a callback, and a different woman informed me a diamond fell out during the polishing process and they needed to get a shipment of replacement diamonds in, which was delayed from the storm. She informed me the ring will be ready in 5 days (2/10), at which point I would receive a call.
On 2/10, I received no phone call. I called instead the next morning, at which time the woman informed me my ring was ready for pick up. I arrived there less than an hour later, and as the saleswoman pulled my ring out, she stated a diamond was still missing. I had driven down there for nothing. No apologies offered. My ring was finally ready on 2/12, almost a month after dropping off.
I wish more communication was given about the whole process. It was stressful to be given inaccurate time frame estimates that interfered with engagement photo planning. The staff attempted to make polite conversation, but this felt disingenuous as they didn't really seem to grasp how this would have been a very unpleasant experience for a new customer.
Any kind of acknowledgment about time wasted, inattention to detail, and unreasonable promises would have been appreciated. I hope in reading this review, perhaps that will occur. It should also be noted that the shop dog is absolutely adorable.

Werkheiser's has been so incredibly helpful and friendly throughout the wedding planning process. Their staffing is super great, and we've loved working with them to pick out our rings, customize them, and get them in time for our wedding/proposal. Overall, great service, friendly staff, educated recommendations, and reasonable price!

Value and service are our top priorities when making a purchase. Werkheiser Jewelers exceeds our expectations on all levels. Our most recent purchase introduced us to Holly, another Werheiser professional. She is honest, sincere, patient and an absolute pleasure to work with. We will visit Werkheiser's again soon and strongly recommend you consider a visit also. Jim Cleffi

If you are looking for a small town, boutique feel when shopping for wedding and engagement bands, this is your place! The staff at Werkheiser is not only friendly and accommodating, but they went above and beyond to create a custom mold for our wedding band after a few bumps along the way. Beautiful craftsmanship, quality and overall experience.

I had some gold to sell and was driving by Werkheiser on 378 and decided to let them give me a quick quote. I have sold gold before and usually I mail it to a online site that posts the prices they pay. You'll find that on one does that. Anyhow, I go in, and the place is strewn with dog toys and a big white dog is lying in the middle of the store floor.
Two different sales people tried to test the gold, the first guessed "gold plated?" she said. The second says, "its testing as 18K". I said "your test must not be accurate enough", took my things and left. I mailed the items to the online site. A couple of days later I got the report and offer from the site (as I expected): 24 K gold. Either Werkheiser is trying to rip people off by telling them they have 18 K when they really have 24K, or if they just don't know what they're doing/inaccurate testing. I would not recommended for selling gold or anything to Werkheiser but shopping there might be fine, I did not go there to shop for jewelry, so I can't comment on that.
