We use wax casting for creating original designs for your custom jewelry and rings. The concept for your jewelry begins with your ideas, a picture, drawing, sketch or even from an advertisement. First the design is made in wax, and if you choose to, CADs will be generated for more intricate or difficultly detailed designs.
What clients tell us when they come back with their teenagers is they still remember how wonderful it was to participate in the process of having their rings made. Hands down awful! My husband had my engagement ring made here. 2 years later I went back because my center stone was loose. I figured, they made it, they would be able to fix it. Well, I was wrong. When I picked up the ring Elsas associate brought it out to me for examination. I touched the stone along the side with my fingertip and it was loose! Elsa quickly came out and said she saw what I did and I moved the stone out of place with MY FINGERTIPS!
She was rude and defensive when I explained that my fingertips shouldn't be able to dislodge the stone. She continued to argue with me about it. Unacceptable and disheartening. Instead of offering to fix it again she continued to argue with me and then told me she didn't create the ring! Ummm yes, actually you did at the price of $10,000! Rude, unprofessional and demeaning. I will NEVER recommend them

This place I needed an appointment. It was freezing in store. I didn't feel comfortable the whole time being there. Elsa was very rude and didn't work with me. I felt like she just didn't want to do the customized work. I guess if you are going there to spend a lot money an get a ring made. I hear she does a good job. As for customer service you are not going to feel welcome. Her staff is great, but the owner should be as nice as the staff. I would rate it lower but 1 is as low as you can go.

For my engagement ring, my husband had Elsa modify the setting on a family ring and bought a new diamond from her. He had nothing but amazing things to say about the process, so when it was time for me to pick out a wedding band, we went back! We wanted a wedding band that would match the engravings on my older engagement ring, and after looking at several stores (including at Elsa's), we came the conclusion that we would have to have it custom made. Elsa was fantastic to work with!
I am not that "artistic" so I was having a hard time imagining what it would look like as we were talking through our ideas. Elsa was able to calm my fears and had us come in several times throughout the process to review the work that had been done to make sure we were happy with the product. We were very pleased with the work that was done, and the price was appropriate as well.

I made an appointment to visit the showroom on a night that they are open until 8pm. First I was told that they would not be open until that time unless they have an appointment. I said that is what I am doing making a 6:30 appointment. I was than told that they have to take a train and would rather close earlier. Eventually I was given a 6:30 appointment and then was called back and told that they are cancelling my appointment and they have not one single opening for OVER a week!
I have a very hard time believing this. While on the phone I asked a few questions about the website and was told that they have no idea about how the web site works and as far as they are concerned you cannot order from the website even though that is clearly what it set up to do. I never spoke with the owner only the incredibly rude and unknowable secretary who answers the phone. Most disgusting customer service I have ever experienced! Edit: I just received an email response to a customer service question that I emailed to Elsa's 6 days ago!

My fiance was referred to Elsa while he was searching for the perfect engagement ring to present to me when he proposed. She partnered with him to design a very special ring with a gorgeous center diamond. She even called after he proposed to touch base with us to first make sure I said 'yes', then see how I liked the ring and ensure it fit me properly.
My fiance had done a lot of research with other jewelers, so he was thrilled that he was led to Elsa's showroom because she is a true professional who is very reliable and delivers outstanding quality. We are currently working with her to design our wedding bands.

I could not even get a chance to even see samples of rings. The Vice President of the company. Elsa's husband "Stefan" must have been having a bad day. He kept on asking us if "we are ready to buy"."Elsa is overwhelmed with jobs"."Elsa doesn't have time to meet until your ready".acted as though he did not want my business. I am in my 40's and have NEVER been treated so badly. I would never want anyone to be treated the way I was treated. I found a wonderful jeweler that day.it was NOT at Elsa's

I looked at engagement rings in several places on Long Island, as well as on bluenile.com, and I could not not find what I was looking for. I ended up making a composite image in photoshop of a few different rings that I liked and brought the picture to Elsa. They were fantastic. They took the image and talked with us about how to make it within our budget.
They helped us pick out a gorgeous diamond and created the setting to be exactly what I wanted. They did everything they said they would do and made the exact ring I wanted within the budget we gave them. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is having trouble finding a setting that they like and who does not want any of the standard options. One year later, my ring is still in perfect condition and I get compliments on it all the time.

So far, so good. I'm a happy bride-to-be. Elsa'a Jewelers was recommended by Perfect Wedding Planners. So, without an appointment, my fiance and I drove there one Saturday afternoon. When you arrive, you must ring the bell and you are greeted by a voice asking you for your name and appointment time. Since we had no appointment, I said just that, and they buzzed us in anyway. It's a small jewelry store with many beautiful rings, and the best part is that they will work with you to custom design whatever you want.
We dealt with Elsa directly, and she was wonderful. She was patient with us, took her time to show us various styles and was very knowledgable about all the jewelry they make and sell. (I used to work at a fairly high-end jewelry store years ago, and I learned a lot while working there. It proved to be very valuable during diamond buying.) So to make a long story a little shorter, we found rings that we liked that day. Elsa gave us a great price on the two wedding rings, and today we went in to try on the rings for size and to see the loose stones that will be set into my eternity band. All in all, two great visits; everyone we dealt with was very professional and courteous. Our rings will be ready for pick up in 2 weeks. Thanks so much Elsa! =)
