Wray Greene, a watch repairman and merchant was located at 226 south Washington Street for many years. In December of 1972 Mr. Greene passed away. His widow Jesse Greene, a school teacher, sold the business to Arnold and his wife Freda. Arnold had been employed at Hugh's jewelry on the square in uptown Shelby for thirteen years.
Arnold's has its own in-house repair shop. The employees that repair the jewelry in this department are qualified, trained Goldsmiths. Arnold's repair department provides customers with a top-quality finished product. Whatever your jewelry problems, just know that you can turn to us for help. The Laser Star machine allows us to easily do repairs that were once very difficult or even impossible by traditional methods. We are able to weld all carats of gold, as well as, titanium, platinum, and stainless steel.

Definitely coming back. Went in last wk for the 1st time. Loved it. My wedding ring broke that hubby got me from Wal Mart so he went here and bought us a new one. everything is beautiful. It was to hard to pick. Great sales. The employees were great. Respectful right there with assistantance. I only know my parents here in NC since I just moved and have noone. So I told my parents to come check it out.

My parents have gotten all of their jewelry here since they dated. My mom had given me a ring wrap that she had gotten at Arnold's over ten years ago. I went into Arnold's today to see what my options would be and hoping I could get it sized to fit my solitaire. I was greeted by a very hateful lady who said "what?! Your wanting to do that now during Christmas time?
Wrong time wrong place!" Woah, i told her that my parents had gotten the wrap 10 years ago there she was so hateful. I said we would just go somewhere else and she shrugged her shoulders. I will never go back. I was so excited to go with all these great reviews! I had high hopes that they would be able to do something beautiful for me.

Again just another reason to love Shelby. Very friendly and fair, great priced merchandise, oh and a Christmas sale too. I even saw a beautiful lady gift wrapping. Well above and beyond the normal jewelry store. I had gone in for a watch battery and it only set me back ten dollars. Stayed there for about fifteen minutes just talking and smiling. I left feeling very happy and satisfied.
I definitely be returning again in the near future. I don't know how far it would be for you to shop here, but if you're looking for that small town feeling, filled with Respect and manners, this is a must see. Honored to have been welcomed.

My parents live in Shelby and I always give any jewelry in need of repair to my father to bring to Arnold's. I spend good money on my jewelry and this is the only place I trust. I look forward to shopping there when I visit my family this holiday season! For both myself and for Christmas gifts at that. I appreciate a family business with owners who care about their customers and the work that they do. Highly, highly recommend!

Arnold's is a great local, family owned jewelry store that provides customers with one on one, personalized service. In stock, you'll find a pretty wide selection of women's jewelry and Citizen watches for both sexes. Recently I went in to have a watch sized (links removed) and a new battery placed. I was promptly greeted and my watch was brought up to speed in five minutes flat. The total cost was a reasonable $18.
