I took an 18k gold ring with a 1.02 carat Diamond to remove the Diamond and put it on a platinum ring that I also took. The jeweler said the head on the platinum ring was not good to put the Diamond on would I agree to him purchasing a new head and replacing it. I said what ever you think is the right thing to do so I don't lose my Diamond. The cost of the new head and the labor was $547.00.

When I went to pick it up my ring the 18k gold ring was not returned nor was the platinum head that was removed. Both of these have value and that value belongs to me. Bruce, the owner belittled the fact that the 18k ring was only with about $60.00. Well, it would be MY $60.00 not HIS to keep. I feel this is a very dishonest way of doing business.

Now I'm wondering if I have the same Diamond I took to them. Needless to say I will not be returning to Hayes Jeweler's any time soon. I would not recommend them. Dishonesty is not easy to deal with. Not in the jewelry business.

With no luck trying multiple other jewlery stores to help me wrap something special for a Christmas present, but Hayes said they could help me. They were friendly, quick, and even helped me save me some money. I'm so happy with how it turned out, thank you Hayes Jewelers!

Brandy was so patient and helpful when purchasing my Mom's Christmas present. I decided upon a yellow gold bracelet with diamonds. They even wrapped the gift! This is why I always come back!

Took (2) Movado watches to have batteries replaced. One watch functioning absolutely properly and one with a dead battery. (1st mistake was even going here) Took watches with me after having batteries exchanged. The technician (so called) gave some lame excuse that the watches would require a few minutes to work before departing store) I said ok, left due to an important meeting. (2nd mistake).

Neither watch would work. Returned to store and informed so called technician that the batteries weren't working and he then claimed he didn't know what was wrong. Again, one watch functioning properly when arrived to have batteries exchanged. The so called technician began acting in a very hostile manner and basically called me a liar. After a heated exchange, I left the store and plan to take watches to an actual jeweler.

For any potential customer at this store, I wouldn't allow this so called technician to exchange batteries in my flashlight much less expensive watches. I'll never darken the doors of this establishment again and anyone that does, you've been warned.

Went in looking for a chain for fathers day for my husband. Immediately was welcomed abd showed multiple nice items. Got a chain and charm for half the price on the tags! Love Hayes jewelry

They were very nice and the younger lady helped me pick a chain for my wife. No pressure. She even gift wrapped it for me. ---- I read down through some comments and am amazed at the one stars saying the jewelry store is just trying to make money- like obviously? Lol I don't give stuff away in my business either. Not a very bright business model.

We walked in knowing what we were looking for. We had been to three other jewelry stores. We were immediately welcomed and asked if we needed any help. We told the young lady what we wanted. She showed us multiple selections and gave us advice on price point. WONDERFUL experience. Totally worth the drive.

Just want everyone to know we went there to sell a diamond which they offered us $400 for the ring and diamond! We went to Jared to get a second quote and the gave us $1200 for the diamond and gave us the ring back! Beware! Get a second quote!

Stopped by this Hayes Jewelry Store for the 1st time yesterday looking for the right Wedding Ring to upgrade to for my 20th Anniversary. This store offers a wide variety of diamonds and settings to choose from. I love how the owner didn't pressure you to buy anything or hassle you on a selling price for my current ring. Bruce was very friendly and did a fantastic job explaining about each diamonds information.

The lady that was helping us was very attentive and patient with us as well. We really did appreciate that. Not feeling rushed, like you would normally feel if you were in a chain store in the mall somewhere. The prices seemed to be reasonable and comparable to other jewelry stores, for the quality of the diamond and settings you get. I loved how they did, have several larger diamond rings in stock 2.69ct+ and larger, .Which was what I was looking for. Lol. I love some big bling. It was great being able to try on and see in person, not just on a computer screen. Will be glad when, Its Ready and can be picked up.

Bruce and staff are the best! There is a reason the NASCAR community, NBA players and the community have relied on him for over 60 years. He has treated my family and me with great respect and there is no other place we will buy jewelry. His customers are considered friends and the quality and prices are excellent. We love Bruce, Zach and staff!

Blown away by how rude Bruce was. Called a month ago and robin quoted me $500 for approx 39 grams of 14k when melt price was much lower than today. Bruce said $300 and wouldn't give me any explanation - repeated "that's what I'll give today" over and over. Huh? Melt value is $900 but regardless, why was i offered $200 more via phone from Hayes when gold value was much lower?

Even if he didn't want to answer, he could at least have treated me decently. Honestly have never been treated so poorly. My family always went to Hayes - used to be a good experience. I'm glad my mom overheard him - we won't be customers any longer.

Quaint shop with a great hometown atmosphere. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and listened to me about what I was looking for and my budget. I'll definitely be back!

We love Hayes Jewelers! We had old jewelry that we traded in that was purchased there for a new engagement ring and wedding bands. Bruce gave us an amazing price as we upgraded AND Robin found us new bands. We looked for something different that not everyone had or wanted. We searched at the retail box chain stores and would have paid thousands more and settled. Robin and Bruce both designed our rings just how we wanted them and found unique wedding bands that are perfect for us!

We wont by any jewelry from retail stores and will make the drive to Lexington from over an hour away to see the Team at Hayes and purchase from them. My fiance gets such amazing statements on her 1 carat oval diamond engagement ring that I purchased for her and they actually had to design and create the band she wanted. Thank you Bruce and Robin!

Wedding jewelry 45 mins from Charlotte. We really lucked out by stopping by here. Got a fantastic deal on a mens wedding band. I'm not joking. 75% cheaper for the same ring I found out on Fairview Road (not mentioning names here). They did a resize on the spot. Saved me tons of cash and also time/aggravation. Worth a drive up from CLT.

Classic, elegant jewelry store. Great service and they can do almost anything custom that you ask!

Nice selection of merchandise. Got a watch battery & placement into the watch for $8 without having to get an appointment. It was done on site. Service was a little slow for me but that might be because I'm used to the hustle and bustle of NYC + was in the middle of preparing for a huge family event. Overall, this place was a total lifesaver since I could wear my watch again.
