Came back 6/20/22 and 2 ladies were AWESOME! Lady in pink and the younger lady were so helpful. Original: Beautiful shop but the lady in here is RUDE RUDE RUDE. People here have been so nice so I am shocked she was so rude. Put everything down and left. Advised anyone reading to AVOID. Spend your money elsewhere. Just because a store is short staffed (like every other place) doesn't mean you can be rude. Rude also means tone of voice. Acting like customers are a burden is rude. Thinking back I am still shocked at her attitude. I am from out of town and wanted a bracelet for remembrance.

Great ma/pa with artful gift ideas. I love this personal store which I have frequented for decades. The owners are responsive to requests and aim to please. And they do!

Beautiful selections of fabrics, beads, yarn and more. Found a chain for a pendant I had recently bought as well as some unique fabrics for masks. I could've spent all day there.

I have been in the yarn store several times and always had a good experience. I recently tried my hand at beading and remembering the bead shop made a trip to Port Townsend specifically to go to this shop. I was wearing a Gator, approved state mandated face covering. At the entrance to the building a sign is posted requiring all customers to wear what they felt was an appropriate face covering. Fortunately for me, my husband had a cloth face covering in his pocket and let me use it.

So I entered the shop, but felt uncomfortable with the attitude. Since this is the largest bead specialty shop that I know of I hoped to get some guidance from a more experienced person. Unfortunately there was 1 salesperson and the entire time I was in the shop she was either on the phone or talking to a trade person. I was in the store for maybe 5 minutes and she was busy the entire time I was in the bead shop without helping 1 person.

I finally left, I'll just buy on line. I will say this is a lovely shop with a huge selection. If you know what you're doing, this is definitely a go to place. Apparently you didn't read my review., I didn't say I was unhappy with your mask policy, I was uncomfortable with the attitude. I guess if you can't take any criticism there is very little room for improvement.

We are all aware of Covid19 and I completely understand the stress this puts on a business. How bout " I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you and I hope I can make your next shopping experience better. "

What a fun place! It's in a cool old building, so many amazing treasures and great beads. Visiting relatives in town, decided to come in, so glad I did! I can't wait to come back! They have a website? Now I'm in trouble! =

I visited Port Townsend for shopping and lunch with a friend. We went all over town and our last stop was the bead shop. I walked all around the bead shop looking for sea glass beads. When I finally asked the shop woman if they had any she pointed to an area I'd missed. Then proceeded to tell me that my plastic face shield mask was "inadequate " even though its the same mask I had been wearing everywhere else including to my medical appointments.

She refused to serve me and ordered me to leave. What gives her the right to determine what mask is adequate and what isn't! Covid is definitely affecting more than respiratory systems! Follow up response: My facial covering is good enough for the governor of this state, my medical Dr, my dentist, my eye Dr, and all of the other shops or restaurants that I've visited.

It should be good enough for this bead shop! The woman in charge clearly has an extremely high level of fear and an extremely low level of customer service! I will never return to this shop!

Power tripping snobs. We came in and was so rudely approached. Demanded to get out even though we were compiling with state guidelines. The staff there was aggressive and quickly jumped to take action against us. They were clearly concerned for their safety. Even though we were wearing state approved face coverings. The response from the staff took us off guard.

The woman especially was yelling at us to leave. Anxiety was high. Tensions grew. But all the drama was completely avoidable if we weren't feeling so attacked. We tried to talk calmly to the staff and explain ourselves. But they were rude and honestly mean. Really disappointing behavior of a store owner. Will never be shopping here again.

A favourite of mine from the time I could barely walk to now-20 years later! The store owner is wonderful and makes amazing handcrafted jewelry. This store has been a hallmark for P.T., in its uniqueness, beauty, and family-oriented environment. Stop by to see a large collection of beads, jewelry and charms!

Excellent selection, gorgeous handmade jewelry for sale. There always have great advice and ideas about what to make a techniques to use. What a special place!

Best Bead Store I have ever seen! Every kind of "new" shaped/multi hole/crystal bead you can imagine. Just amazing, and extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. They pack a giant punch into a small space.also, prices are very fair, especially for a small town specialty shop. Prices on finished pieces are also very good. Love this place and will be back!

Always an amazing experience. Lois the owner is so sweet and helpful. Always willing to help with projects or to just bend an ear with. You will be hard pressed to find a better beading store with the amazing selection that she has.

They sure cram a lot into this little bead store. I often find unique items that I haven't seen in other bead stores. They also have a large selection of seed beads and pewter charms. The owner is very helpful and offers great advice when asked about fixing a piece of jewelry or the best tools or supplies required to create a bead project. There are a lot of sample projects around the shop that ignite my creative inspiration and I ended buying even more things. Great marketing!

Visiting family, of course I look up where the bead shops are. so glad to find this shop! Great selection and very friendly and helpful. I wish I lived closer! I love touching all the beads and I had a ton of fun making necklaces with my purchase. I will definitely be back when I come to town!

Wonderfully warm hearted owner, and beautiful displays and an impressive selection of beads, findings, and pre-made jewelry. Very comfortable, and welcoming energy. Definitely a gem for a small town.

My aunt and I used to drive everyone nuts when we'd come here - we'd want to spend hours shopping! The beads are so beautifully displayed that everything looks gorgeous and its hard to leave without breaking the bank! :

Great selection of beads, findings, and custom clasps and charms. I love this little store! It is very well organized and has a lot more than first meets the eye. It has pretty much everything you need to make jewelry and other beaded accesories. They always have nice examples of jewelry they have made and most all are for sale too. Like a candy store for bead nuts.

This store offers an amazing variety of beads and an ever-changing line of stock. There's always something new! They also have great collectibles and jewelry.
