Had a great experience at Melby's when shopping for wedding bands! Mark was extremely helpful and had great input that made our search an easy one. Would recommend to anybody looking to find great jewelry!

Fantastic service! I stopped in last week to inquire if they could replace the battery in my Victorinox watch. Aaron confirmed that he could and even offered to deliver it to my work (across the street) as I was due to start my shift soon. While replacing the battery, he discovered that the jeweler that had replaced it before (not from Melby's Jewelers) had not replaced the gasket. Thankfully, no significant damage had occured (love Victorinox time pieces!); and he replaced the missing gasket at no extra charge. Aaron was friendly, helpful, communicative and went above and beyond. Their show room is well cared for and filled with beautiful quality pieces. Thank you, Aaron!

$30 to remove some links out of my watchband? Really? I understand that you have to keep the lights on, but I just went to JB's in Santa Maria Town Center and they did it in about 5 minutes and only charged me $7.

I HIGHLY recommend Melby's Jewelers. Alex helped us throughout the whole process of a engagement ring from the design to an appraisal. The store itself is clean and spacious. I picked Melby's specifically for their customer service, then they sold me on my ring using a blueprint program thing which shows you a 3D high quality design of the ring you designed . Alex's positive demeanor and creativity went beyond my expectations and now I LOVE my ring. Thank you

I'm beyond thankful for Melby's. They fixed my grandmothers ring. The diamond was loose and they informed me of this issue. They fixed the issue very quickly. They sent me pictures as the completed fixing it. You will not be disappointed

He took the time to educate me on the different grades of diamonds and advised me on the best choice for my budget. The ring I picked was a customer design by Melby's. I drive more than 45 minutes to use Melby's Jewelers because I know I can trust them. I found them because they are a seller for Gabriel & Co. and I am so thankful that I did! They are so reasonable and helpful and they really look out for your interests. I knew I was in good hands when they told me NOT to have something custom made by them because it would be cheaper for me to buy it from Gabriel & Co.

I've only been a few times, and they have been extremely pleasant and helpful. They usually have a consistent flow of customers which shows me I'm not the only one that agrees with my rating. The shop is quiet yet peaceful. Most of all it is clean and holds a very nice atmosphere. The employees are all very knowledgeable, quick to help, and kind. Definitely on the pricier side but well worth the quality of work they offer. Highly recommend!

Wow.! How nice it is to venture into a store where you know that you are respected very highly as a long-time customer. Yesterday I took Mom into Melby's jewelry for a new watch band. Eric Melby was helping her and told her that he could not supply her with a band as the replacement bands were not available for her model of wristwatch. She asked to see some new watches and he did so.

She picked a new watch that she loved and bought it. He was so helpful and treated her just like his Great-grandfather Don Melby helped me with my wedding bands in 1961. Love that store.

I have nothing but great things to say about Melby's Jewelers. Mark helped tremendously in the design of my engagement ring. My fiance had brought in a diamond from my late grandmother and Mark was able to use his knowledge to design the most beautiful engagement ring. Since the proposal was a complete surprise, my fiance did not get my ring size correct.

My ring was over three sizes too big. Mark's son was so kind and reassuring when we brought the ring back in to be resized. It took about three weeks to be resized, but that's only because it had to be sent back to be remade. When it was all said and done, my ring exceeded my expectations and Mark even waived the cost of resizing. We are so thankful for this family business. They definitely care about their customers. I highly recommend going to Melby's!

I was on a trip from Southern California to Northern California. We lucked out when we happened to stop for lunch and saw Melby's. It reminded me of a traditional family oriented business with high fashion jewelry. I was helped by Aaron whom I found out later is 4th generation in the business. He has a vast knowledge of diamonds and various jewelry not mention a great sense of humor. Although I did not buy anything because I was just looking. I highly recommend Aaron and Melby's

Didn't want to stand behind the work they did on my daughter's wedding ring after only one week. They finally took care of it, but only after much discussion. Not a good feeling. We'll be looking for someone else the next time we need a jewelry repair.

Wanted $30 to remove a broken pin in a watch band and replace it with a spare I had. Went to Anthony's Jewelry on Betteravia and they pulled it for free and replaced it with my other pin in under a minute. Melby's is a rip off.

I have found the work that the jewelers do at Melby's Jewelry quality work. I have had a few of my older jewelry modernized or revamped and Melbys has always stepped up and did a stellar job. I have a necklace with my grandchildren's thumbprints. I took the pieces I had and the jewelers attached it to a necklace I had. This was almost 4 years ago.

I wear the necklace everyday. It has never broke (crossing fingers). Mel's made one grandma very happy. I have had other work done on rings and I have been very happy. Professional and friendly people for sure. Highly recommend.

I don't go anywhere else! The service is incredible, always offering a touch of old school charm and hospitality. Their pieces range from Vintage and Classy, to the most Elegant and Modern in the jewelry industry. It's no wonder they've been in business for so many years!

I have been a client for over 15 years. I only buy my jewelry from Melby's and I live over 300 miles away! They offer some unique pieces that I have never seen before. I normally purchase rings or necklaces with customized pendants. The customized jewelry is exquisitely done and I receive compliments every time I wear them. Please do not take my word for it. Go in and see for yourself!

My other go-to gift shop that's akin to Heartfelt in my hood of Bernal. Great owner, excellent selection, from adult goodies to kid and baby stuff. I can always find something for my intended recipient. A true gem.

My apologies, but I am slightly prejudicial. I am currently the owner. Four generations of Melby's. Arnold Melby, my grandfather started Melby's in 1922 in Lompoc. My father, Don Melby owned the store from 1962 until he retired in 1987. My two sons Aaron Sturges-Melby and Alexander Melby currently work at our store. Both are great employees and also great sons. We strive to give great customer service, and stress quality over quantity.

Purchased a watch for $1100 here, only lasted 10 years. They sent it out for repair, it would cost $450 for repair and cleaning. Melby's should stand behind their products when you pay that much. Also, customer service was poor. They waited for a couple of weeks to even call us, wanted to charge us a shipping fee that we didn't authorize. Very disappointed
