Bought the best, sharpest and most unique knife here. The knife called "Devils Elbow" cut my thumb immediately upon testing the blade so I bought it and now it's my favorite box cutter.

Jessie is a very nice guy I been knowing him for 10 years he treats everyone with respect no matter what race you are every time I walk into the store he makes me feel welcome

No wonder they are always slow. I asked to see the plate of jewelry pendents. The guy said i cant i wouldnt be able to catch you. Im Hispanic. That wraps in up for Excel pawn. First time ever going there.

The staff here are super awesome. Robb especially is my favorite. He is great at his job and has the best personality. Quality products for a reasonable price.

I have been to this place about a dozen times, every time I have stopped the tall goon behind the counter with the pierced eyebrow talks to you like your an idiot. Prices are barely under retail and customer service is horrible. Because of the convenient location to my house I have walked through these doors more than I should. After being treated like an idiot asking if they would sell a lot of dewalt tools individually today was the last straw.

I would not recommend anyone doing business at this subpar establishment. Fire the dork with the pierced eyebrow and change your prices to reflect pawn shop prices and not retail and maybe you wouldn't have the same paddle board sitting in the window for two years. Waste of time.

I was very nervous and sad that had to put sentimental jewelry on short loan.ran into being short on finances from not getting paid on time from temp place, will get "real" check from "real/permanent" job next week.anyway, they are both nice, great guys & easy to talk to and very professional.

Pay low prices; RUDE, SANCTIMONIOUS, KNOW-IT -ALL employees! STAY AWAY! Wouldn't let me get a drink of water or use the restroom.

Nice people unfortunately getting a job from them it's impossible either one of them has to quit or die and they give me a little money for my items. I think its best to buy stuff from them then to sell them and they dont sell paintball stuff

Terrible, not only did they not look at the equipment in to value it, but i realized after I singed the recite that they wrote it out for 77$ but only gave me 75$. Don't trust them if you use them

Obviously, a pawn shop is an expensive way to get a loan when money us tight, but for those of us with a job but no silver spoon, these guys treat customers with kindness, honesty, and respect. You know, like banks USED to do? After years of periodic use of their services buying, selling, and pawning, I totally recommend The Excel Pawn on Rice Street!

Often people ask me where they can sell items like, car stereos, guns, jewelry etc. Well what I tell them is to try the pawn shop on Rice & Larpenteur. Not only do they buy Items like this, they also sell really cool items like KISS & Madonna Gold Record Awards. True that stuff is right up my alley, however you might enjoy it too?
