As Duncan, Oklahoma's premier jeweler, Payne Jewelry has grown along-side our city in southwestern Oklahoma. Duncan has prospered from being known as a small western town on the famous Chisholm Trail to the birthplace of the internationally known Halliburton Oil Services. Payne Jewelry started in 1910 by Mike Payne, began as a jewelry store and a photography studio in the young town. Now in our 105th year we are still locally owned and continuing to provide quality jewelry and services to Duncan and surrounding areas.

Once again Payne Jewelers was very helpful and educating to me. Went to have my wedding rings resized. I explained how I didn't want the wedding band to be thined out and they took the time to educate me and went through the process of telling me how rings are done which made it much easier for me to understand. By doing so they saved me over $400 and I so appreciate that as money is always tight.
Of course the staff is wonderful greet you with a friendly smile and takes their time with you so you are comfortable with your decision before you leave I think all of you that work at Payne Jewelers for your patience and the education. Looking forward getting my rings back and having them back on my finger where they belong.

Wonderful family owned and operated jewelry store in Duncan, OK. We've gone to Payne Jewelry store for 20+ years. They are very trustworthy, helpful and have a friendly staff. We've purchased several pieces of jewelry and have loved each and every piece. We will definitely continue to go back even though we've moved away from Duncan.

Shortly, absolute ignorant personnel, the rudest customer service and no manners whatsoever. I was looking for an older model of a watch, and after going through 40pages of Google search results, Paynes Jewelry in Duncan, OK, were the only ones possibly having it in stock. As always with online shopping, I checked their opinion and reviews about them first.
It didn't look good, but there were not many comments either, so I wanted to believe they just had a bad day. At first, I sent an e-mail enquiry, without a reply for a few days. So, I rang them and I say I want to find out about physical stock availability, as it doesn't specify on the website, and by every single product there is a note to contact them via e-mail or phone (both provided on the site).
The woman who answered didn't sound competent. I said I'm ringing form Ireland. Then all of the sudden a man took over the phone, and before I even finished the sentence, he snapped back in the rudest tone ever: ''We don't do phone stuff'' and hung up on me. Being stunned for a minute and trying to process what has just happened, I decided to ring them again.
This time the man answered and I say I was just talking to him. He interrupts again with the same motto: ''We don't do phone stuff''. I try to explain that THEY encourage contact on their website and I just want actual stock confirmation as I can purchase it on-line. Again, he didn't let me finish: ''No website or phone!'' and hung up again.
On their website it says: ''Payne Jewelry started in 1910 by Mike Payne, began as a jewelry store. Now we are still locally owned and continuing to provide quality jewelry and services to Duncan and surrounding areas. We're proud of Duncan and plan to continue to grow along with her and anticipate exciting things to come!'' Having that in mind and looking at the pictures of the store you think: WOW!
So impressive'' and you really want to be a customer there. You'd assume that for over a century they would have mastered customer service. HA, WISHFUL THINKING - IT'S EVERYTHING BUT THAT. The 1910 indeed stands out - in the approach which is as from a century ago and after 30seconds with them you regret every single second of your attention paid to them.
Complete waste of time and the worst experience ever. And I mean: EVER! I wonder what they are proud of, as all I observed about Paynes Jewelry in Duncan, OK, is a shame, a total disgrace. And there is a growing number of their customers to confirm that. Keep it up guys and soon you'll become a ''surrounding area'' of the global market.

I dropped a pearl bracelet off for repair several weeks ago. The clasp was broken and was told that they were going to look for a piece for the clasp so I would not have to buy an entirely new one, and that they would call me within the week. A week went by, then two, and I hadn't heard anything so I stopped in to check on it. I was asked "when the latest I could have it by?" (translation: this isn't very important and we're going to put it on the back burner) and that they would call me about the clasp.
As of today, one week later, still no phone call. The bracelet is very sentimental to me. I wore this bracelet on my wedding day, and plan to wear it again for my nursing school graduation. Payne Jewelry treated it like an old forgotten book on the shelf. It was only today when I went to pick it up that I was talked to about the status of my bracelet. Needless to say I could have had it fixed by now if they had updated me about not being able to find the part, and now I'm left scrambling to find someone to fix it in time since it sat for three weeks. I worked for ten years in customer service, it's amazing what a simple phone call can do to keep a customer happy.

I don't know if it was just luck or what, but i have been married 8 months and had yet to find my ring, i searched all kinds of sites, went to many stores! Dont get me wrong i found some beautiful rings but the only ones i found i liked were more than we thought they were worth. We just happened to be in Duncan for a week and decided to check out some of the stores.
The first one we went to was less than ideal. Finally we found Payne Jewelry and found not only were the rings beautiful, but they were not way over priced and the customer service was satisfactory. The only downfall that i found was that the selection was not very big for bridal but you always have the option to do custom designs here. But hey i have no complaints. i finally found my ring!
