This shop is a role model for outstanding client service, which is so rare these days. The town of Huntington is lucky to have Lubutti's. I live about an hour and a half away in Connecticut and was in town to bury my Uncle. My Uncle was like a Grandfather to me. For decades, I loved coming to his beach house on Northport Bay and exploring downtown Huntingtown.
I was retracing steps last week that I had taken over the years and passed by Lubutti's on the way to the car. It was a few minutes after the shop closed. I saw a bracelet in the window that I wanted and thought it would be a great way to memorialize happy memories from the last 4 decades. I called the store and asked if they would let me in to purchase the bracelet.
The owner, Jeannine, could not have been more welcoming or friendly to have me come in. I was having a very rough day saying a permanent goodbye to someone who has known me since I was born. Jeannine's warmth and charisma put a smile on my face on what was a very tough day. I am looking forward to purchasing more jewelry from her. There is something for everyone here, both style and price point.
I wish I lived closer, but I am glad there is a positive reason to visit Huntington in the future. When I am not wearing the bracelet, I keep it in the last seashell I took from Grandpa's beach house.

First of all the customer service was amazing at Libutti my fiance walked into the building knowing 0 about diamonds but Jeanine was able to help him get an understanding about clarity, cuts etc. I am really glad we had them to help us with this process and we got such a great ring. Absolutely disgusting business practices employed here stay FAR away from this place. The owner or manager Jeannine has a serious attitude problem and has angry outbursts when you don't want to buy things she is forcing down your throat. Very high pressure sales practices. If I could rate this business zero stars I would, and it's a shame because it's all because of the owner.

And BEWARE she will act all nice and warm until you don't go along with buying something then the owners true colors come out. Stay far away from here, they are a ripoff.

Just wanted to take the time to review my experience selecting and purchasing an engagement ring through Libutti Diamond Jewelers. I conducted a lot of research prior to heading to my future bride's favorite jewelry store. While I had received lots of recommendations on places to go and people to speak to about this big purchase, I am so happy that I selected Libutti's among them all.
Not only did I make my purchase at Libutti's, but I felt so comfortable knowing that if I needed any services on the ring in the future, they would take care of it. Jeannine is well versed in the diamond industry and truly took the time to educate me on what I was purchasing. She was patient and guided me throughout the whole process. A special shout out to Roy who made my buying experience seamless.
I felt confident in knowing that they were honest, fairly priced, and true experts in product selection. I can't say enough wonderful things about this establishment. We plan to also purchase our wedding rings at Libutti's and we know that we will be in good hands.

My family has been in Huntington for a long time and has always gone to Libutti when looking for that special piece of jewelry. it's not often that I find myself shopping for jewelry but there was no question that it would be done at Libutti. When I was ready to start looking for engagement rings I was both intimidated and anxious about the process.
I took my now fiance in to browse and get a feel for what she may like and Jeannine and her daughter Jaime were fantastic. They created a little file with size and style info so that when I returned on my own at a later date we could order exactly what my fiance had described. They worked seamlessly with Tacori and got the exact color and setting I wanted.
When it came to picking the Diamond Jaime made me feel both knowledgeable and comfortable with the decision. with absolutely no pressure. I could not have been more excited about the end result. Really it was perfect in every way possible. I went engagement ring shopping in the heart of the covid outbreak like mid June and it was hard to find open jewelry stores anywhere let alone appointments. I called Janine and she said can you come right now, luckily I only like about 5 minutes away so I shot right over. I told her I was looking for an emerald cut diamond with a very ornate and detailed band, something fit for a queen I told her.
I told her my budget was around 7k give or take and she said we can fit you in that no problem. She ordered in some diamonds and the following weekend while my now fiancee was getting her hair done I snuck away to the jewelry store again and the diamonds and band were like nothing I had ever seen. She showed me 3 diamonds all emerald cut, one was 1 carat D color and excellent cut, the next 1.3 G color and excellent cut, the next 1.5 and H color.
When she showed me the diamonds side by side it was a no brained and so easy to tell, I went with the D color excellent cut 1 carat emerald diamond into the verragio band I had picked out which has such ornate and unique features and so elegant it was stunning. What's more is Janine totally worked on price with me, this diamond alone should have cost upwards of 8,000 alone and the band priced at 3500$ she basically gave me for free, after all was said and done including tax i paid 8,000 flat and it's the ring of a lifetime, unbelievable and I will shop here as long as I live.

I grew up with a grandmother that always had a trusted family jeweler. Since moving to Long Island, Libutti has started to become my trusted jeweler. Starting with piercing my daughters ears, they really took care of us. I most recently came in with a loose stone I wanted to have made into a pendant, it came out more beautiful than I imagined it could and at an extremely fair price. They were patient with us as we looked at and finalized my engagement ring, and everything looked so good we bought both our wedding bands there. Because we trust them so much I had an old ring polished and rhodium plated - it looks BRAND NEW and they did it in a day being we're out of start. A wonderful family jeweler in Huntington!

Reading some of the prior negative reviews makes me wonder if they are just bitter, angry people. My Lady customized her engagement ring here to utter perfection. Carli spent hours and hours with her designing and personalizing the ring she will wear for the rest of her Life. I was worried because the future Mrs. is picky, but she was speechless with joy when we picked up the ring the following week. The pricing was moderate, the jeweler superb. Very Highly and Warmly recommended!

If I could give a store less then a one star I would. The women that "helped" us is an overwhelming scammer. Made me feel like garbage and that I wasn't good enough. Forced my wife to remove her ring and completely knocked it. When she couldn't remove her ring, tried to force it off. When that didn't work she cut it off. Told me would size it for us no cost. Called later to find out if it was ready. The same women answered and said it would be only $100 because of the sale. Never go here unless you want to be scammed. F this place. It should be out of business.

I have knowned, shopped and loved the management of Libutti Jewelers in Huntington for over 25 years. During my last visit I realized that their customer service style is still as it always was, simply the top notch. My diamond fell out of my engagement ring, thank God I found it. Libutti Jewelers repaired it with such precision that it looks better than it ever did. Thank you Libutti for making me feel like I did when I first got engaged, which was so many years ago.

My only jeweler! Jeannine is amazing. She reset my fiance's grandmothers engagement ring in a new setting and I couldn't be happier with how my engagement ring turned out. I get compliments on my engagement ring all the time and I just went back for our wedding rings. Suffice to say Jeannine made the whole process so easy and fun and in the meantime had my engagement ring cleaned and re-sized to a t (I had lost some weight and Jeannine insisted on making everything perfect).
She also took the time the ensure my fiance had the opportunity to look at every wedding band he thought might work and made sure to take into account his lifestyle to find the perfect ring. I couldn't be happier!

I think it may be time for owner, Jeannine Libutti, to take a good look in the mirror and realize her condescending, supercilious attitude towards her customers is not the way her parents would imagine their good reputation and legacy being represented by their daughter. My son purchased his fiances engagement ring from Libutti Jewelers and during the sale Jeannine was very pleasant but as soon as my sons hard earned cash was in her hand and she had "the sale" she wanted nothing to do with him or his fiance.
They have had a few issues with her ring and have had nothing but grief dealing with Jeannine and her unprofessional approach to customer service! With so many jewelry stores to chose from, you would think she would be more conscious of the way she speaks to her customers because as we all know.bad news travels quicker than good! After listening to my future daughter in law literally cry at how she was talked to by Jeannine and my son being told by Jeannine "sorry if your fiance can't deal with my strong personality", I felt I had to reach out and tell others of our families bad experience. Who says that? Shame on you Jeannine Libutti!

I have worked with Libutti Jewelers for over 25 years and it has always been an excellent experience. Purchased over the years a lot of jewelery and I always felt price was fair, and all was at best quality. I also repaired many things including diamond ring, resized rings and fixed my watches. Love the service too, all are professional.

I had an awful experience resizing my ring here just last night. It was so bad that I wish I could rate 0 stars. I was looking forward to meeting everyone my fiance had worked with since he told me about how wonderful the women were. We even printed out photos to show everyone and hoped they would put one on their couple's wall. When we arrived (all the way from Manhattan after confirming days in advance that we would be coming at that specific time with Inna, one of the staff members) to explore the options for resizing my ring (beads, ring guard, or full resizing) we were greeted by Jeannine the owner.
I would like to quote Cindy E.'s review by saying she is an "absolute lunatic" because I could not describe her better. She immediately told us that the jeweler was "on his way out" and "had an appointment" somewhere else. We explained we were told to come at this time to explore our options and that the jeweler would be there to resize that day.
She then asked if we would leave it over night. My fiance made it very clear that he told Inna that we would not be leaving the ring over night. There was a quick discussion of a ring guard which I asked if I could see. She ignored all my questions. She then took my ring and spoke with the jeweler. This conversation between them did not seem very nice at all and the jeweler was very annoyed.
He originally said that he did not want to do anything since he needed to leave. At this point, I began asking for my ring back. They did not give the rings back. Instead, the jeweler took it and cut it. I hadn't even decided if I wanted to do this. This all happened very quickly (I'm talking like 3 minutes). In the midst of this, I remember asking for the ring multiple times and not getting it back.
I also said and I quote "I do not want to do this, I change my mind" to which Jeannine replied "He's already cut it." After he cut it, some salespeople had me try on a sizer which was great but TOO LATE. As well, he left a mark on my Tacori ring since he was in such a rush. I was physically shaking the entire time. My mother attempted to speak with Jeannine nicely and said that this "was all moving too fast for [me]." Jeannine said "He is a professional and does this all the time." My mom replied that "You have to understand she just got this ring and she does not do this all the time.
She is shaking and upset." Jeannine was not receptive or understanding of this. As a salesperson and especially a business owner, Jeannine should understand that all different types of people use jewelers: old, young, nervous, bold, meek, etc. and she should be ready and willing to accommodate all different types of personalities to continue receiving business. Clearly, she is not able to to this which is a shame since Farnoosh (spelling?) is one of the best service recovery sales persons I have ever seen.
She quickly jumped in and attempted to make me feel better (althought it did not work) while Jeannine huffed away in the background not speaking to us anymore. Jeannine is a bulldozer and a bully with anger issues. Jeannine has lost my business and I will not be buying my wedding band from them. I will also be calling Tacori and telling them of this awful experience. I hope that they listen and decide that they can no longer be an authorized dealer of Tacori.

My dad wanted to buy me a necklace for my wedding. We shopped all over, but ultimately bought a beautiful pearl choker from Libutti. My dad has apparently bought a number of things from them over the years and says they're one of the best. The choker had to be resized and they were very professional about it. It was resized incorrectly the first time so they resized it again and had it delivered to our home. When it still wasn't right, they resized it a third time and drove it back again! Very professional and great customer service.

Do not let Libutti do any "custom " work for you. I would give zero stars if I could. I gave them my double row eternity band to be reset. Their idea of "custom" is to order a cheap setting from a catalogue and stuff your diamonds into it, breaking and/or damaging them. It cost me $2000, so I mistakenly thought that the new setting would be custom made to fit my diamonds! Maggie and Jeanette (the owner) are a nightmare to deal with.
They tried to pressure me into separating my double band into 2 singles, so I could "put another band in between" (presumably one I would buy there). The two of them really work as a team, one in each ear until you are totally confused. The new setting had huge shared prongs that rose up from the ring, so all you saw were these "balls" hovering above my diamonds!
When I told Maggie I was unhappy, she said in a dismissive tone : "That is what you ordered". Wasn't she supposed to help me? Why would she suggest such an ugly setting? I left in tears. When I went back days later, Jeanette was not there. Marcus the manager tried to help. He had the jeweler split the huge middle prongs (the "balls" that were protruding from the setting).
I never wore the ring; it felt tight. The cheap setting is very straight on the inside and very uncomfortable! My ring felt better before, and this was resized! The split prongs catch on everything, the setting itself is rough and not properly polished. I've gotten 2 opinions on having the ring redone, and both jewelers have told me that many stones are broken!

No one wants to take the ring apart for fear that all the stones will be too damaged to work with at all! I can't even pay someone else to redo my ring! Bottom line, very poor quality work. I recently bought an engagement ring at Libutti Jewelers and had the best experience. Diana helped me throughout the process and made it extremely simple. She was absolutely wonderful in terms of knowing the setting and center stone inside and out. Diana went above and beyond in order to help me find the perfect ring that my now finance loves! I chose Libutty Jewelers after a recommendation from a friend. As I walked in I was surprised at how beautifuly decorated it was and how much bigger it seemed once I was inside. The reason for my visit was to get earrings for my soon to be 1 year old niece, which was something I had no clue about, to say the least. The staff helped me immediately and were very accommodating for the price range I gave them.
I wound up going with beautiful pair of earrings that will be great for my niece as she gets older as well. I had an over all pleasant experience with the staff aswell as paying less then I expected when walked in. They also had a wide selection of other jewelry. I'll be back there to look at a watch for my self soon. Highly recommend!

I really could not be more pleased with how Libutti handled the purchase of my fiancee's engagement ring. Neither of us knew a lot about jewelry, so we were prepared for a nerve-wracking process. But they explained our options without making us feel stupid or that we were being taken advantage of. Their sales tactics were not over the top nor were they obnoxious.
They seemed sincerely interested in making sure that my fiancee found the ring that was right for her. After spending more than 90 minutes with us looking at rings and explaining options, they didn't complain when we said we wanted to shop around at other jewelers to get a feel for our choices. The best compliment I can pay Libutti is that although we found the ring we ended up buying at another shop -- we went back to Libutti and bought the same ring from them instead because we liked their salespeople. Diana and Marcus were professional, helpful, friendly and warm.
