The first Almost Famous store was opened in Fargo, ND in West Acres Mall in 2003, and that first store did not look like the Almost Famous Body Piercing locations you know today! Our first location carried a variety of items, including clothing, music cd's, assorted gift items, skateboards, and shoes.

Facial piercings can be broken down into several different categories. For the purposes of this short explanation, we will discuss eyebrow piercings, nose piercings and other dermal or surface piercings that don't include the mouth. Eyebrow piercings can be placed vertically or horizontally. Currently one of the most current piercing trends is putting a dermal or surface piercing just below the outer corner of the eye, on the upper cheek bone. Bridge piercings have made a comeback in popularity as well.
Ear piercing includes many different piercings, with the placement of piercings on the earlobe being some most common. Despite its popularity, earlobe piercing is anything but a one size fits all trend; it offers a range of opportunities to create a fun, genuinely custom look, letting you express yourself however you'd like.
The anti-tragus, much like the tragus, is a section of cartilage. If you look at your ear and put a fingertip on the tragus, you'll see a notch where the cord to an earbud would sit. On the other side of that notch is the anti-tragus, sitting just above the ear lobe. Much like the Tragus, the Anti-Tragus is usually triangular shaped.

I had an amazing time getting pierced! I got 2 lower lobe piercings and a septum piercing. Cirby was super helpful in explaining all of my options for both piercing and jewelry types, answering all my questions. I'm pretty sure I have an allergic reaction to nickel, (or at least I did when I was younger), so she helped me pick a metal that is nickel free and looks awesome! Ari did my piercing and she was so composed.
She had a great system of breathing in and out that made all five piercings go extremely quickly and as painlessly as making holes in your body can (lol). She also was super helpful in explaining piercing maintenance so I'm excited to have my piercing heal!

I was stupid and pierced my nostril myself, and only had earrings. I came here and bought a nostril stud and exchanged it out for the price of the stud. Overall, the staff is friendly and I'm happy with the service. (Edit: I did the same thing with my septum, they helped me get the horseshoe in when I couldn't. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable)

I got my bridge and medussa done today and had a really great experience. The staff was so friendly and helpful, and my piercer Brittany did an amazing job. The placement and symmetry is perfect on both of them. The process itself was quick and relatively painless. Ive never recieved aftercare products from anywhere I've gotten pierced, but they also provided me with aftercare products!
They definitely went above and beyond to make sure my experience would be a good one. Best place I've ever gotten piercings and jewelry from, and I'll definitely be back. Oh and they also have a great selection of jewelry as well.

All the staff are kind and amazing! It's worth the wait, and they have a great variety of jewelry that the MOA didn't have. Eren did a great job with my piercings, they were very gentle and kind throughout the whole process. I am definitely coming back just to have them do my piercings every time I want something new.

The reviews don't lie, DONT GO HERE. Absolutely horrible experience. I got two piercings done here and paid over $150 only to have one completely botched. She pierced them way to shallow/ tore my skin trying to pierce me. She let me walk out with a completely torn piercing I was so excited about and left me with no choice but to either take it out and waste my money or try to let it heal improperly. I messaged their customer service for a refund or help trying to heal my botched piercing and received no reply.

I have gotten almost all of my piercings done here: both nostrils, navel, dermal, eyebrows. the list goes on. Each time I have come in the folks at the counter have been incredibly friendly and helpful, taking the time to walk me through all of my jewelry options. The piercing rooms are always very clean, and the actual piercing process is as quick and painless and one could hope for. Anna always has a great attitude and does a fantastic job of walking me through my aftercare, as well as answering any questions I have about when and how to downsize. All of my piercings have healed beautifully. I recommend Almost Famous to anyone who is looking for a clean, enjoyable piercing experience at a place that is welcome to all.

Got a bad daith done. Think she hit a blood vessel, bled for half a day. Ended up in the emergency room, they stopped the bleeding but my ear filled with scab so the next day I had to get it flushed in the urgent care. Everyone I talk to tells me it's in the wrong spot completely n that's why it won't settle into the ear. I'm going somewhere else this weekend to get one done properly. I don't recommend this place unless you like bleeding and wasting your hard earned money.
