Spoke to Justin over the phone and he gave me a fair price on my Breitling without even looking at the watch. After completing that transaction came back the same day and they took my Rolex Sub at a reasonable price as well. I will be going back for future jewelry and watch needs.

Really fantastic place to find diamonds and other fine jewelry. Keith is an expert. He offers other services such as jewelry repair and cleaning. He also has beautiful estate jewelry all at very competitive prices. 110 percent. I'd never buy diamonds anywhere else.

An honest jewelry store. It was worth the drive from Alexandria. They were more reasonable than others for resizing. We also looked at some jewelry they had. Definitely not the heavy pressure sales type place. I recommend you check them out.

I had a nice ring that had been sitting in a drawer for years. I was hesitant to try to sell it, thinking of dealing with a low offer and hard sell. I entered the Diamond Exchange and immediately felt at ease. The service was personable and pleasant. The store displays tasteful jewelry and exceptionally nice men's watches (which I will go back for). The value of the ring was explained to me and while of course I wanted more, was very fair. I enjoyed the experience and definitely will go back to the Diamond Exchange.

I have worked with Justin and Keith for over 25 years. They earned my business in the first item I purchased. They refunded me money when the diamonds that they charged me for weighed less what they charged. They could have taken advantage of me and I would have never known. I recommend the Diamond Exchange in Rockville for their fair prices for buying gold. I checked other businesses in the region and Diamond Exchange's purchase price was the highest. They gave me $3 more per gram than what I would have gotten elsewhere. I worked with Keith Grymes, and he was very professional and competent. I highly recommend!

A+ experience. Getting an engagement ring was a long process, and I was not impressed by most of the big retailers. Some were pushy or unfriendly, or had that used-car salesman approach. Others were nice and knowledgeable, but the prices were exorbitant and customization was limited because they had designs from specific, high-profile designers. Diamond Exchange was the best blend of all the positives without the negatives, as long as you're OK with it being a smaller store in an understated location. Justin was fantastic to work with.

Very patient, knowledgeable, friendly and fair. Their designer may not have a famous name, but his work was spectacular and actually once I gave the thumbs up on the 3-D model, the ring was finalized very quickly. They also buy/appraise and even bought some older gold rings we didn't want anymore at a slightly better price than local pawn shops. At a minimum, if you're considering buying/designing jewelry, pay these guys a visit and see how you feel walking out compared to when you leave some of the usual suspects. We worked with Katie for both our engagement ring and wedding bands and she was awesome. She took time to educate us and there was no pressure. Her only goal was ensuring we picked the perfect ring and were completely satisfied. The finished product is stunning and I have received compliments by everyone who has seen it. I can't say enough good things. I went in with a family diamond and no idea what I was doing! Katie was fantastic and we went through all of the options for an engagement ring, including looking through samples and settings available in store and online and going through all of the details. I finally found one I liked but needed two side stones that matched. Katie found two European cut diamonds available locally and worked her magic to create an amazing piece in short time. I'm beyond happy and I know my finance will be too!

I had been wanting to upgrade my diamond but wanted to avoid the "Big Box Stores". I was looking to trade in my diamond for a slightly larger, higher quality GIA certified stone (keeping my current mounting). Katie showed me a great variety of diamonds within my price range and was wonderful about answering any questions that I had without hesitation.

She was very patient and did not put ANY pressure on me. I ended up purchasing a beautiful diamond and got a fair amount on my trade. They were able to mount my new diamond within a few hours and I could not be happier! Bought a watch here a few weeks ago then decided to exchange it for another watch. The initial watch was sent to me overnight then when I returned it, the second watch was also sent to me overnight. When I wanted to exchange the initial watch, the people here were very polite, nice, friendly, easy to work with, communicated in a timely manner, patient, and tried to accommodate my request.

Especially Justin, he was very professional and did not show any signs of impatience and frustration. He tried to work everything out with me and gave me all the information that I needed. I had a great experience with them and will definitely return for another purchase! Thank you!

Came across Keith and The Diamond Exchange staff off of a good friends referral to get an engagement ring. I already had a stone, but only had three weeks to the time in which I wanted to ask her. I thought it was a long shot to begin with, but they made it happen. I picked it up days before I left for the trip. After discussing options with me they made a beautiful ring. I've since gone back for the wedding bands and will go there for any future jewelry needs.

Just bought an engagement ring from them. All I had was a picture of what my girlfriend wanted. Keith was very knowledgeable, helpful, and straightforward. He filled me in on the process of getting the ring made, and provided the perfect diamond. They ended up getting the ring made in half the time that 2 other places said they could do. Also gave me a better stone for the same price as the competitors lesser stone.

In the end, the ring came out absolutely perfect. I'm suggesting them to all my friends who are getting engaged. And I highly suggest you make them your first stop when jewelry shopping.

Had a good time today in an attempt to sell a diamond ring, and other pieces of gold 10k, 14k, 18k, etc. while I was disappointed in the prices offered, so kept my pieces, I understood their decision making process. I dealt with Katie and Justin, and another gentleman who fixed my watch for free, and everyone was courteous and kind. They had several lovely Art Deco rings, which tempted me, but will have to wait for another day. I'm a fan, and will go back to look at their estate pieces again. Thank you for your courtesy today, especially as I did not buy anything, and you fixed my watch for free!

These folks were polite, knowledgeable, and low key. I found them to be very honest and decent. I hocked a 14K class ring (from 1988- geezer) at 14g for $225. Melt was $320, but consider the process starts for them with a 24 day wait. They then have the ring researched 3rd party for theft reports and such. In addition, there is the possibility of volatility in the market causing the gold price to drop.

All in all, it was a really good experience. The shop had a small business feel- something missing from the big box stores. It was really rewarding to work directly like this. I'll be back!

My now fiance's entire family has been going to The Diamond Exchange for years, so we of course followed in their path and have had the best experience working with them, especially with Justin. Since I knew the type of ring that I wanted, I brought in a picture and they made a custom ring based on that. I am SO in love with my engagement ring.

It is more beautiful than I even thought it would be. I have been back to the store multiple times to get it cleaned and resized and they are so nice about doing this free of charge. We will definitely be getting our wedding bands and any future jewelry purchases from there.

I could not be happier with our experiences at the Diamond Exchange. My husband and I went in last summer after seeing an estate ring they had advertised - we had just started talking about getting married, and (because he knows me really well), he knew I'd want to pick out my own engagement ring so that I would get exactly what I wanted. Somewhat to his chagrin (I don't think he had bargained for me falling in love with SO MUCH ring), we put a deposit down and took the ring home a couple weeks later. Katie's customer service was amazing, and they did an in-house appraisal for us for insurance when we picked it up so it was ready to submit as soon as we walked out the door.

A year later, we came back to purchase our wedding bands. We ended up having to order Hubby three different rings as the first two were apparently from an exclusive line that the jewelry company wouldn't sell to stores individually, and we wound up the day before the wedding with no ring. Katie was AMAZING and was able to get the new ring he picked out overnighted to us so that Husband didn't have to get married with a random band (or none at all - but they also assured us that in the event his band didn't make it in he could 'borrow' one for the weekend and so he'd have something to get married in.

Talk about customer service!). They also went ahead and shaved down the band we had ordered for me so that it exactly matched the band of my engagement ring. Throughout both experiences, the customer service has been exemplary and they have been wonderful to deal with. Additionally, all of our jewelry from here was incredibly well priced (our jaws pretty much dropped when we saw that my engagement ring appraised for almost triple what we paid for it).

They are extremely knowledgeable, and we felt very secure in bringing our business here and knowing the quality of the jewelry we were purchasing - I know we wouldn't have felt that kind of security at a chain jewelry store. We will definitely be back for future purchases, especially knowing that we can also design our own ideas with them!

I looked on-line to find a jeweler to sell an older 30 year old Rolex watch. I called and spoke with Keith on the phone. I arrived 30 minutes later. It took Keith about 15 minutes and he made me a very fair offer right about where I was hoping to sell the watch. He and the other employees were friendly and helpful. It was a great experience. I would recommend Keith and Diamond Exchange.

Experts in the jewelry industry. Top prices paid for your items and yet still a great place to shop for high end goods and still save big money compared to retail. I have been a loyal customer both buying and selling here for years. Dealing directly with the owners is a huge advantage in obtaining the best deal. I am a customer for life.

It pays to comparison shop when you're selling gold. I visited five other places before I finally sold my jewelry to Diamond Exchange. They offered $280 more than the lowest offer. The transaction was quick and painless, and the person I dealt with was polite and efficient. Sold to them a second time, a few weeks later. This time, I didn't bother getting other offers--went straight back to them. Did I get a good price this time? Who knows? But I wasn't in the mood to go back to the five places I first visited.

My fiance came here to get my custom-made engagement ring and I can't express how ecstatic I am with the outcome. I came across my dream designer ring a while back and sent it to my now fiance, not really thinking much into it. When he proposed I was completely surprised and fell in love with the ring-it is so stunning and sparkles for days. I often find myself just staring at it because it is so gorgeous!

It looks exactly like my dream ring, but even more beautiful. Plus it is even more special because it was custom made by my fiance and he worked closely with them to design the ring. He said he had a great experience working with Katie, who was very knowledgeable and patient with him. I highly recommend this place!

Do your homework! Might be an OK place to buy, but I can't recommend it as a place to sell. This experience is not much different than going to a pawn shop. I brought in several items- a bunch of gold jewelry that I hadn't worn in years and 3 diamond rings- including a one carat solitaire that I had appraised prior to my visit. The gold jewelry was weighed and the price seemed to be in the ballpark of what I thought was fair. Thankfully I did not accept their offer on the rings.

They offered $800 for my one carat solitaire- less than 10% of the insurance appraisal, and not at all fair. I ended up getting $2000 for the solitaire from another company the same afternoon. Also, on my other pieces, the second company offered significantly more. Bottom line- do your homework and shop around. Lots of jewelry and watches- when I expressed some interest in a new setting for my solitaire, I was shown several "used" and very mediocre settings priced at $500 and up. Hmmm, they offered me $800 for a one-carat solitaire and then tried to sell me a used setting with tiny diamond chips -- this did not compute in my head, so thankfully I left and got treated much better elsewhere. SHOP AROUND!

This is a very nice shop filled with a wide assortment of Rolex watches and other high end watches. They also offer many gorgeous jewelry items from diamond earrings to tennis necklaces. The gems are breath taking. I have bought and sold here for many years. When I get tired of a piece of jewelry I own I go here to sell it and purchase something different. Justin and Keith are very knowledgeable and have always given me fair prices for what I bring in to sell and I have purchased many items including a sapphire and diamond ring for my mom for Mother's day, a gorgeous pair of 14k and princess cut diamond earrings, gold necklaces and a reasonably priced Rolex Yachtmaster.

The assortment is huge, the cases sparkle and are very well organized. I have even taken items in to have repaired. Oh and once I bought a ring for myself that was too large and they actually sized it as I waited. I always leave happy with my sales or purchases and I appreciate the excellent customer service.
