I continue to be available by appointment and have pursued a new opportunity at Hamilton Jewelers in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. In the early 1900's, Jules Schubot worked as an usher at the historic Bonstelle Theatre in downtown Detroit. He met many of the performers coming to town and frequently procured jewelry and gifts for the celebrities. This helped him start his own store 1917. From there it continued to grow, and Jules developed relationships with celebrities including Tony Martin, who introduced him to Frank Sinatra and Joan Crawford.

I have a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust, which was purchased and sized at Schubot Jewelers. I was impressed with their jewelry and watch selection. The sales service was also top notch. Years later I had put on a few pounds and wanted to have the watch resized. When I checked the watch box, I was surprised to see that they did not leave me the links (5 or 6) that were removed from my watch (which is customary).
When I called, and explained, they offered to resize my watch and sell me links, as needed, at $125 each. I'm surprised that a high end jeweler would (1) keep people's watch band links and (2) charge so much to replace them (given that the watch was purchased there and they took mine). There are lots of Jewelers to pick from. Schubot should have better service after the sale.
