I called United Insignia because I needed to replace a lost shield. Sales person told me to email them the information. Several days later I received a phone call from the owner telling me that he will not do any business with SPCA's or Child Protective Services because their all no good. What kind of person says something like that and how disrespectful, rude and insulting can one be? Would not recommend doing business with them.

I order a shadow box and Fran was so helpful and made the process much easier. The shadow box came a lot quicker than expected and it was beautiful! Highly recommend!

I have used United Insignia to create ORIGINAL SHIELDs for my organization in the past (20 years). I contacted them today in order to make a different style shield, sent over the requested IDs etc and was told they can ONLY make a duplicate badge. I tried explaining to the woman (Lauren) who answered the phone that I don't need a duplicate, but rather an ORIGINAL (new position in the organization) and it was like talking to a wall.

She couldn't seem to understand that I needed a new style shield. She refused to let me speak to her manager or the owner. No more business from me, nor will I recommend them ever again.

Purchased this for my wife as a birthday present. Gave it to her on July 4th. She wore it for a week and it looks faded or tarnished. right now united insignia is closed for vacation till the 19th. Lets see what they say. Update: they called me back and made me a new charm. Hopefully it lasts more than a week this time. But customer service is aces

I ordered a 21in statue of the Policeman and child. I told John and his team that I live in Tennessee now. Even though they normally do not ship packages he did it for me and I am so glad and thankful he did. I received my package yesterday and it was pact really really good. My experience with John and his team was nothing short a fantastic. Once again I just want to thank you John and your team for the outstanding customer service that I received.

I'm giving two stars because I placed many orders with them and the two ladies working there are awesome help! The prices of the orders were fair. My experience with them were great until I received a missed call today. Less than a minute later I called back and the man who answered the phone was so rude and unprofessional. I said someone had called me and he said there's a lot of people calling and messages were left.

He repeatedly said the same thing and I checked my voicemail before I called them and did not receive the voicemail messages. I only received the voicemail 17 minutes later. Point is how is anyone answering a phone call being so ignorant. I'm sure the lady did leave a voicemail but the message did not get thru right away. He was talking to me like I'm lying and he is so close minded.

United Insignia never ceases to disappoint me. Yes - they are essentially the only game in town; well - not exactly - But, nevertheless - They consistently churn out the highest quality and finest crafted items. Owner/Operator "John" is a great guy who is always willing to go the extra mile for customers. New Astoria location is significantly more convenient.

Not to worry, you can find Parking.;- I've been a Customer of United Insignia for quite some time. They truly do fine work and are extremely "Customer Friendly". Staff are very pleasant, respectful and helpful.

I order from them all the time Quality on their products They stand by their work and will make repairs on site. Great bunch of people

I ordered the Cop & Boy statue and I couldnt be more happy. It was ready on time and the communication was excellent. The item itself came out beautiful. It looks great on my desk in my office. I am ordering another for a friend that has just recently retired. Great job UI!

Me and my two friends visited this location. The old guy that we dealt with was the most rude and unprofessional individual We've ever met. Save yourself the trouble.

I have been a customer for over 20 years from my time in NYC and beyond. Jim and his staff are always helpful and attentive to my needs. Several times over the years, I have needed repair work to my equipment - which was done on site and efficiently. I highly recommend this buisness if high quality, fair cost, and efficient service matters. I stopped in today for a quick repair after driving a considerable distance.

It matter who you trust with you equipment and United Insignia has always been my go to place. Their New location in Queens is much more convenient then trying to get parking in Brooklyn. I hope the review helps if you are deciding who to purchase items.

My second purchase, and was told first week of September for a custom order. Received a call a few days ago it was ready. Walked in, showed ID and was done. I just wish I had thought of engraving the back of the item, not sure if they do it after the fact but should have asked. Great service, and would not write this if it was not.

Absolute garbage! Poorly made shields. Horrible fit and finish. Their numbers constantly fall off. No surprise that almost every NYC agency including FDNY has switched to Smith & Warren.

After reading the reviews here i was hesitant to purchase a product from them. I then went against the reviews and decided to do business with them. Glad i did. I ordered my item and paid a reasonable price. They told me it would take 8 weeks. I placed the order and was emailed a invoice promptly. They called me to pick up my item on august 1st. Since they are no where near i live i decided to have them ship it.

It was shipped via ups with tracking number and it was delivered on time I extremely happy with my item and will continue to do business with them. This is my second purchase and i look forward to my third purchase with them.

Horrible, horrible customer service. Ordered a shield 6 weeks ago, and this was having to make 5 phone calls and several emails simply to begin the process. Long story short, I called today (6weeks later) to find out the status of my order, only for them (UI) to tell me some BS story of not receiving one of my "5" emails containing a copy of my ID.

All this time (6 weeks) i never received a single call from anyone informing me of this! Great way to do business UI, I'll never use this company again for anything, and will surely let all of my colleagues know to do the same.

Do not waste your money purchasing a shield from this company. Unfortunately the quality of their dups has dropped considerable and there customer service sucks. Instead visit a "Smith and Warren" badge dealer and order a dup from them. They've been in business for many years, located in White Plains, NY, and the quality of their badges are top rate. They even back up there workmanship with a lifetime warranty. I purchased a dup from them and its an absolute show piece, actually looks better than my job issued shield.

Unprofessional and Irresponsible. Made an Order and the estimated due date was the 13th of May it is now the first of June, I called and it seems like they do not know what happened to my order. Do not waste your time and money.

Disgraceful! I sent them my shield to have a little work done and was supposed to have it back by the 4th.of August. It is now the 11th.of August and still getting jerked around! Wanted to speak with the owner and was told he was on vacation and would not be back for two weeks. I will never do business with this company ever again!

Amazing customer service, they kept in touch with me on my order with every step of the way and were very helpful and resourceful in getting me exactly what I wanted! I have no complaints and recommend anyone to deal directly with them! I got a friendly call letting me know my order was being shipped out to me & I must say I am very, VERY happy with my items! Also the personal courtesy shields for family member are GREAT gift ideas that my wife loved very much as well! THANKS UNITED!

One of the worst merchant to customer experiences that I ever had with terrible service! I placed an order months ago (early June) and after finally receiving it (late July, b/c my order was "lost" & "improperly filed"), it ended up being the wrong items. I returned the incorrect items 2 days after receiving them and was promised a correct replacement.

It's now late August, and after numerous telephone calls, still nothing! Everyone who I have spoken with has no idea of what their other coworkers are saying or doing. With every telephone call and each day that passes, I am promised, "it will be tomorrow" or "soon"! Horrible experience and I will never shop here again! Save your time and your money and shop somewhere else! There are plenty of other stores that sell and manufacture identical & similar products!

Owner contacted me and apologized for the "mess". Still, after such an awful experience I would not go back. But had to increase my star rating slightly for the attempt!
