Jessica is amazing! I have had two rings modified with Jessica's help. She listened to my concerns and design considerations, gave me options and suggestions and kept me updated on the status of my rings both times. I highly recommend Pampillonia if you are looking for high quality jewelry and especially recommend Jessica. She is one of the brightest jewels in the store.

Pampillonia is such a welcoming place! My husband and I went recently to find something special for our 25th anniversary. Jessica took so much time to make sure I found the perfect thing for the occasion. It was a joyful experience and I LOVE my beautiful stackable rings. The people there really understand that jewelry is such a personal thing, but it is also often meant to celebrate something. The people of Pampillonia help make sure there is something meaningful about what you choose.

I couldn't be happier with my beautiful pendant that Pamela designed! I had a piece of jewelry that I inherited from my Mom and Pamela sketched the design that we talked about, using the diamond from my Mom's ring. She was just as excited as I was! I wish I could post a picture of the finished pendant and necklace. They have beautiful designs and provide great customer service! Thank you Pamela for the individual attention and care you showed me.

Pam at Pampillonia has helped us all through our wedding process from helping pick out my engagement ring to helping us pick out wedding bands and even designed a special necklace that I will be wearing on my wedding day! She has made the entire process stress free and fun and we plan on using her for every jewelry need we have moving forward. The fact that I brought in an old stone in an ugly setting and left less than 2 weeks later with a stunning new necklace is amazing! Pampillonia in general is a fantastic store with both stunning and unique pieces of jewelry and the staff are always SO friendly. Thank you to Pam and everyone there for playing such a big part of our wedding preparation, can't wait for more excuses to get more jewels :

Pampillonia has been amazing to work with! They took my grandmothers ring and transformed it into a beautiful, stunning piece that exceeded my expectations. It's just amazing! Jessica and Tara helped so much throughout the process! Helping with the design, and keeping me updated throughout the process of it getting made! Everyone there is friendly, very helpful and just pleasant to work with. I can't wait until my next Pamillonia purchase.

Wow! What a knowledgeable and design forward team. My mother bequeathed her engagement ring to me and it's been sitting in my safety deposit box for SEVEN years! I'm so glad Tara was able to listen to my ramblings and guide me the perfect modern setting - completely transforming my mum's old ring (which was a bit too tall and traditional for me). Quick work, beautifuly executed, and top tier customer service. Thank you so much for taking such good care of me! I am so pleased!

In today's world is it rare that you find a person that genuinely cares about the quality of work that they do. I had the pleasure of working with head jeweler/shop director Eric at Pampillonia in Dallas. He has years of knowledge and experience with custom jewelry, repairs, and everything in between. My wedding ring of 19 years needed help. The bottom had a hairline crack, the mill graining needed to be redone, the top stone was crooked, the prongs holding it were worn, and the rhodium was faded.
My ring is beautiful again, It looks like it did when I first received it, and I had it back in less than a week, so fast! I will absolutely highly recommend Eric and his team at Pampillonia to my friends and family for there future jewelry needs.

I cannot express how wonderful my experience was at Pampillonia! From the second I walked in, I felt welcomed and valued! This is an extremely talented jeweler with unique and elegant pieces throughout the store. Jessica was extremely helpful in narrowing down my choices for my wife's birthday. She listened and asked the right questions to zero in on the right selection. Locally owned, this place ticks all the boxes for future visits! Thanks!

Working with Pamela and the Pampillonia crew has truly been one of the best experiences. No matter what you are looking for, what you are needing or how much you are spending, you are treated like a VIP. Working with them on a custom ring was such a pleasure and I have added some of their beautiful design pieces to my wishlist. It's really wonderful to have a relationship with such amazing jewelers who love the community they serve.

The team at Pampillonia are amazing and it feels so welcoming every time I shop or visit them. My husband had both my engagement ring and wedding band made there and the staff was so flexible with any size alterations or design alterations. Fine craftsmanship and I always get compliments about my rings! I highly recommend them and you should definitely send your boyfriend there to find the perfect engagement ring.

Best jewelry store in the DMV. My family has been devoted customers of Pampillonia Jewelers for decades. I recently visited their new(don't actually know how long they've been there) Bethesda location, to purchase an engagement ring for my now fiancee(love you Sophie). It was the best experience possible, the staff is so knowledgeable and helpful, special that's to Farrah and Mike, they made the experience so pleasant, and treated me like family.
Not to mention the jewelry here. it's so beautiful, I'll never be able to afford a lot of it, but it's an incredible selection of beautiful things to fawn over.

Had a wonderful experience this Saturday at Pampillonia. They have the warmest sales team, so down to earth and passionate about their work and the art that they create with fine stones. Their custom work is gorgeous and the shop is really well spaced, it feels comfortable to peruse the collection unlike a lot of other jewelry shops. They also buy fine silver and pay a very good price. The experience was smooth and respectful. This store is definitely a breath of fresh air in Bethesda. I will definitely be there for my next jewelry purchase.

My husband bought me a Cartier Love bracelet from Pampillonia online. It arrived exactly as described - near perfect condition (1970s bracelet) and just beautiful. Sadly, it was too big for me, so we had to return it. The process was simple and the owner was great to work with. I'd highly recommend them and will do business with them again. Nice to find a trustworthy jeweler online who has high quality estate items.

TLDR: The experience here really depends on the sales person you get. It's hard for me to decide on a star rating for this store. There was a blonde woman who assisted me the first time I came in, and I'd giver her 5 (or a million!) stars if I could. She was so helpful, patient, positive, answered any questions I had, and let me try on several rings.
My subsequent visits to the store were not so positive. I was being assisted by a different woman who did not want to spend any time on helping me (in the middle of asking to look at a ring, she saw other customers and went over to help them. I waited maybe 10 min til the customers left and she came back) and she was very pushy. She used slimey sales tactics that I really can't stand and was way too aggressive for me.

After visiting several jewelry stores and being very disappointed, I went to Pampillonia jewelers. I met with one of the owners, he recommended the perfect setting for my grandmother's diamond. Yesterday, I picked the finished ring up at the store. I can't say how delighted and ecstatic i am with the ring that he made me. Thank you, Mr. Pampillonia for the wonderful ring!

I could go on a rant of praise for Pampillonia, but I will keep it short. My fiancee and I designed and bought her engagement ring here. Fun, no-nonsense experience. The ring is exceptional. My fiancee LOVES it and she gets compliments wherever she goes. I will, without a doubt, be a repeat customer.

I had a very nice experience at Pampillonia. I went to get my ring resized and I think they did an amazing job. My finger is in-between sizes, so they sized it to a 5-loose and it fits perfectly. I have never heard of a 5-loose but, who cares! One thing though, to get it resized, they had to send it to their workshop and it took a long time. I can't remember how long, but don't expect it back in like 3 days or even a week. So if you need a rush on a repair or something, don't wait. Also they had really beautiful jewelry.

This was a nice store. I went in to sell some items though they weren't interested in them because they wanted 18k not 10k which I understand. The man helping me was a little rude seemed like he felt he was better than me but whatever I didn't let it bother me. But other than that they seemed to have a nice selection going for them.

I want to give 5 stars and maybe i have here. I know I did on yelp. The 5 stars come from several interactions with an employee there. I forgot his name but he's on the shorter side. He's fantastic! So nice and informative that I bought a piece and had rings sized without intent prior to going. I talked so highly of the place that a friend bought his engagement ring there.
People literally asked if I was being paid by the store because of my high praise. BUT.today I came in looking for the guy I usually use. I seemed to have offended the other employee. I had questions about a recent purchase made elsewhere. I had done this before when having a ring sized. I got lots of great info on the purchase and jewelry in general.
I understand they want to sell their own jewelry so that's why I bought a piece. I bought solely because of customer service. The sales guy today blew me off. He hardly looked at my new ring (I brought in to be sized) and replied it was fake. I asked what kind of fake. He said some kind of synthetic made in Asia. I felt insulted but ignored it.
He went on to say that's why you don't buy from the internet. Ok, yes. I understand his point. I made a special trip to go to this store. I passed a dozen other jewelry stores so I decided to look at the estate jewelry. I saw a nice bracelet and asked to view it. The seller made comments about it's cost. On it's own not a big deal but enough that I said "I'm not poor".
I had just worked out in the gym next door. I liked the bracelet but I was furious. He was not doing anything when I came in. He made me feel shitty then insulted me. I've been in sales. I know how taxing looky loos can be and buying online cuts into their bottom line. But it doesn't. I wasn't a ring buyer who would have bought from a jewelry store if not from Craigslist.
I was only buying good deals on unusual rings. This purchase was not in their demographic. By this employee's action I probably won't go back. If I do send someone there I will insist they ONLY go to the guy I mentioned earlier. Long rant but it's because I hope the store reads it.

I had an antique ring I was looking to sell. I found this and also the Tiny Jewel Box through a google search. Both had been recommended by a yahoo user under the yahoo questions for selling antique jewelry. I live in nova and hadn't had much luck around here. The Tiny Jewel Box had some communication issues through their sales department emails. but Pampillonia had a quick and honest response.
Someone from Pampillonia let me know my ring was not exactly what I thought it was (what it had been sold to me as) but that they would be more than happy to pay me for the gold. I headed downtown with a handful of gold and silver, and my ring just in case. When I arrived, it wasn't really my type of place from the outside.it was really nice!
I felt a little intimidated. as the whole area itself was not my scene and quite honestly I was wearing workout clothes. I forced myself to go inside the store. and I really could not have been happier that I did. I was warmly greeted by a female employee. I explained to her the situation. At no point did she make me feel intimidated or that I didn't belong.
I loved her personality and she was so kind. I ended up selling them all my "scrap" gold and silver. for more than I expected. I have been to "cash for gold" events, so I knew what was fair. I ended up keeping the "antique" ring since it really wasn't worth what I had hoped. But this was something the sales person had let me know up front initially.
The female offered to have it cleaned for me before I left. Wow. Did they clean it. I've had items cleaned by jewelry stores before. This was different. She had a jeweler working there steam clean it. It honestly looked like a new ring. And he personally came out and gave it to me, and was super friendly. So in a nutshell, I couldn't say how great I think this place is!
I dealt with 4 different employees here. The initial email in the sales department, the female working when I first walked in, a male employee who talked to me about the value of the gold and silver I had, and the male jeweler who cleaned my ring. All 4 of them were outstanding, kind, and at no point made me feel out of place. They were not pretentious at all.
The jewelry they were selling was insanely gorgeous and they invited me to look around while I waited. Could have spent an hour just looking. And would have felt welcome to do so.

I was given my great grandmother's white gold diamond antique ring (my grandma thinks it's from the early 1900's). The diamond was moving around in the prongs and I could hear it clanking. It was also too big for me so it needed to be sized. I was COMPLETELY nervous to have it fixed because it means so much to me and I wanted nothing to go wrong.
They told me they make custom jewelry on site as well and repairs and specialize in antique jewelry. I think the whole process took 1 week to have it sized and fix the diamond setting. It was also very affordable, maybe $65. I actually had it sized too small, so I brought it back and they re-sized it bigger for free and had it done in less than a week.
They always called the moment it was done to let me know I could pick it up. They also cleaned it really well and told me I could stop back in anytime to have it professionally cleaned. They were super friendly and great to work with. In fact, I will consider getting a wedding band there, not to mention their antique jewelry is beautiful AND affordable. If I were going to have a custom mad ring done, I would totally go here. They are a recommend in my book!

The store occupies a large space on the ground floor, so you can't miss it. Compared to Chas Schwartz upstairs which is crammed to the gills, you can tell that Pampillonia pays more rent for the few pieces that they show. It's a different (more luxe?) shopping experience. The best deals here are on their estate pieces (read: used diamond rings).
Some of the estate pieces are Old European Cut (OEC) or transitional cut, so if you're looking for an actual vintage (compared to vintage-inspired) diamond, you can find it here. They also have vintage designer pieces (Tiffany, Cartier, etc) for sale. The diamonds in these rings are already set, however, so it's hard to evaluate the cut quality.
The custom work is done in the basement of the Connecticut Ave location south of Dupont Circle. I got some quotes for custom settings, and they were.extremely pricey. If you shop around (check out Quest in VA, for example), you'll see what I mean. Also, the lighting is fantastic, but very subtle. I can tell that any diamond you buy here will never look as good as it does in the store. =/
