Meyer, a lifelong resident of Columbus, started working for a local downtown jeweler in 1942 when he was 15 years old to help his family during The Great Depression. When he was 17, he volunteered and joined the Navy to represent the USA in World War II. He spent two years in the military and then went back home to Columbus, Ohio and back to work at the same jeweler he had worked for before the war.

Meyers saved the day today! Yeah My girlfriend and I got engaged today! The downside: The original jeweler that I purchased the ring from gave me a ring that was two sizes too small! We didn't realize until we went to put the ring on her finger! I took the ring to Meyers and they were able to re-size the ring on the same day for a VERY reasonable price! Please give them your business if you can, they will not disappoint!

This family owned business is filled with professionals who care. Jeff and Scott, along with the rest of the team are eager to help and they never push for a hard sale. They want the customer to be in control and ultimately they want the customer to be satisfied. I have brought jewelry into their store that was not purchased at Meyers, and they take care of it as if they sold it. Their prices are beyond reasonable. The selection is incredible. All price ranges. All styles. Pardon the pun, but Meyers is a gem.

If you are a person of color don't shop here. I came in to pick up a ring that I purchased there that was being size. After getting my merchandise I was looking at the Tacori rings, there was a salesman with a ponytail helping a couple. He totally ignored me for about 5 minutes. During this time a gentleman came in and someone came over to wait on him immediately.
I waited till this person was was helped. Finally someone came over to help me. In the middle of this another lady comes in. The salesman stopped waiting on me and went over and assisted her. I was told someone would be out to help me shortly. When one of the owners came out to help me with a pair of earrings I was told that I could not try them on because of COVID.
His tone and attitude were very condescending. He gave the impression he felt I could not afford to be in the store. I have purchased jewelry from Tiffany's and many other high end jewelry stores and I have never had a problem with trying on earrings. So I sent a Caucasian friend in to see how she would be treated. She was greeted immediately and the same store owner waited on her. She was allowed to try on several pairs of earrings no problem! MINORITY CONSUMERS SPEND YOUR MONEY AT TIFFANY'S

My engagement ring broke after 20 years. Meyers completely rebuilt the band and setting and replaced one of the small diamonds that had been lost. It looks better than it ever did and I can feel how much stronger it is now. The cost and timeframe quoted was exactly right. I could not be more thrilled! Thank you!

We absolutely love working with a local Jewelry store. I love every time I walk in everyone is extremely friendly and eager to help and not in a sale sale sale mentality. It never fails when I walk in they ask if I need anything cleaned. We've shopped at the same store for 15 year now and we won't buy jewelry anywhere else!

I have been familiar with Meyers Jewelers nearly all my life (over 50 years), and although I am not a big jewelry spender, I have purchased some pieces from them over the years, and I have received some as gifts as well. I was particularly impressed this past week, though, with their customer support, beyond just sales. I took in two high-end rings that I had recently purchased elsewhere, both for an appraisal, and one for upsizing.
The sizing was performed with the highest quality, the appraisals were both very thorough and well-documented, and the staff was knowledgeable and professional, as always. I appreciate Meyers Jewelers!

They have always given me a great experience. If your not happy with there services ask for one of the owners. I'm sure they will listen too your complaints. They are in business to make people happy. I went to them when they were on the West side. I have always spoke with the owners and they have been nothing but kind considerate and eager too please. This place literally made my daughter cry by insulting her engagement ring set she took there to be sized. They repeatedly questioned her if the ring was real, and if it were new or used. You're the "experts" so shouldn't you be able to tell that? And either way, she was happy with her ring because of its symbolism, not it's price tag. They dropped the ring on the floor and stepped on it to stop it from rolling. Completely disrespectful and rude! I would never set foot in anyplace that would treat a young bride this way! Horrible!

I will update this review with greater detail on the procurement and purchasing process upon my return, but I wanted to take the opportunity to show my thanks and appreciation for the time and consideration shown to my wife and I. This fall will be my 14th wedding anniversary, and much to my credit (or so I choose to claim) I have not given my lovely spouse rhyme or reason to ever consider the removal of her ring. Time, unfortunately, is unyielding in its pursuit to render us as mere shadows of our former selves, and as such my wife's hand has slightly outgrown the proportions of the ring when our nuptials were newly minted. Meyers Jewelers, at no charge and with a substantial investment of their own time, assisted with the removal of the old ring before issues of circulation started to come into play for my wife's afflicted digit. Seriously, this thing put up a fight, but with elbow grease and determination we sundered the old jewelry from her finger, giving it time to heal and adjust. I will definitely be back to give them a proper shot for when we procure our replacement piece of bling. Thanks guys!

It is not like I have been in too many jewerly stores in my life, but most worked hard to get me to spend money. Since I didn't normally wear jewerly until EBS showed how serious he was last year for my birthday, I was a waste of breath for even the greatest sales person. I usually just go for tough watch batteries or dragged in by a friend. Meyers was not that way.
As I looked at some glass and gold edged rose stems, I had to ask the price, pretty but not for me for $75 a stem. I was just waiting for them to see how long it would be to get the watch batteries. I was told it would be 45 minutes for the tight back on the love watch. I went to Meijers but on the way out looked at the case of earrings and rings as I went out.
When I came back to get the love watch, I had to ask the cost of the studs with April birth stone. I was told the price from lowest to highest. I then had to ask the saleswoman to let me see them. No pressure, just answered my questions. I decided to get the middle size for $75, will get more use than that rose. See EBS gave me a diamond ruby pendent with diamond studs earrings that are too heavy for me to wear everyday.
I wear the necklace as much as I can. Now, my ears will join in the fun. As I left, I saw a tray of diamond studs with sizes next to them. My new pair is 1 carot smaller than the others, but ones I can wear to work. If all Meyers are like this, shopping here should not be so stressful.

All in all, a really pleasant experience. My fiance and I were looking at rings and the co-owner (forgot his name) was really helpful. He was willing to call about a specific question we had about something they didn't carry and didn't make us feel like we were a bother. He was really nice. They had a great selection of rings to choose from. I can't say about the other jewelry as we didn't look at anything else, but the showroom seemed quite large.

We have ALWAYS had the best service at Meyers. It's a great feeling when you walk in a store and they call you by your first name. We've made several purchases and will definitely be back. If you're looking for an engagement ring this is the place to go, whatever your budget, they've got a lot of choices!

I have been to Meyers Jewelers many times for watch related issues (batteries, add a link, remove a link, etc.) and have never had anything but excellent service. A couple of months ago I went there to have my anniversary ring attached to my wedding set. Meyers did a wonderful job and the completed set is gorgeous! I also asked them to give me appraisals on the completed set and on a fantastic pair of platinum earrings I have. I adore this family of Jewelers and have no desire to go anywhere else. They are simply one of the best around.

After looking for the perfect ring for a few weeks, I finally fell in love! We went to Meyer's first because it was close and were impressed by the relaxed sales approach and large selection. I saw a few pieces I liked, but wanted to shop around. We tried Diamond Cellar at Easton. It was a terrible experience thanks to a pushy, deceitful salesman who was more interested in opening a credit card than helping us find the perfect ring.
At that point we went back to Meyer's. We worked with Shawn. She is AMAZING. It's obvious she's passionate about jewelry and shares her knowledge in a way that's easy to understand. She never once pushed us to buy, but when we said we were ready there were some great financing options - real financing, not a credit card. One of the owners even took the time to congratulate us on the purchase and engagement even though the store was really busy. It was a 5 star experience all around. I will never buy jewelry anywhere else!

I can't say enough great things about Meyers Jewelers! This is the ONLY store that I have ever shopped in where the owners actually work right along with the employees! I am always greeted by Jeff and Scott. I always purchase my jewelry here! It really is a great experience in this store! **BEWARE - WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!** I went into Meyers Jewelers today to look at wedding bands - Hearts on Fire. I stood looking at the rings for over 10 minutes and was never approached. They had about 4 employees up at the counter doing absolutely nothing and no one came over or greeted my fiance and I as we walked in. If they were not the only Hearts on Fire dealer around I would NEVER go to them.
My fiance and I purchased a $15,000 wedding ring and we were treated like trash today. I can only imagine how they would treat other customers if I walked out feeling that way. I ended up leaving because I am not spending my time somewhere that doesn't appreciate me as a customer. I don't care if I spend $100 or $100,000 a store should never treat customers this way. I agree with a prior review, for a "family business" they definitely do treat you just like another number.

I originally went to Meyers jewelers because they were the only place in the surrounding area that carried ArtCarved engagement rings. After my (soon to be fiancee!) saw the ring she decided she would like a different style better. Shawn was amazingly accommodating through the whole process which took a couple visits. She was very friendly and at no point did I feel rushed to make a decision or talked down to.
I looked at nearly every solitaire engagement ring and through every one in the oversized catalogue before coming to my conclusion. So glad I came in and thanks for everything!

I went in to look for an engagement ring, planning on just looking around and then heading to a couple other Jewlery stores in Columbus until I met with one of the staff members and 9 months later i have purchased the engagment ring, wedding band, my wedding band and plan on getting gifts for our mothers from there. They are the best Jeweler in Central Ohio in my opinion.
We had to have the rings resized and it didn't cost a dime, they clean it for free and dipped the ring again for free whenever we need it. Great service and they really try to work with you of you are on a budget. This is the place to go if you need a jeweler. Always my first recommendation.

He called the store right then and there and introduced me to Scott, and I stopped in later that same evening. I worked with Scott exclusively throughout my selection process, which took 2 visits.

Prior to stopping in at Meyers, I had done almost all of my ring shopping online. This was partly due to my work schedule, but mainly out of the dread of having to deal with the stereotypical "used car salesman" type with dollar signs in their eyes. Thankfully, my experience at Meyers was the complete opposite of that.

Stopped in to get my ring sized (have I lost weight since we got engaged?) They told me that since it's kind of wide, and tungsten, it couldn't be sized and that if I had bought it there they would just send it back for another size. They suggested I take it back to where I got it, which I will. Friendly, not pushing to sell me something. I'd go back.

Best part of this establishment is, I will not feel awkward to have not so much money, yet want to buy something for the special someone. they always find something that is compatible with the money I have! Meyers's diamond selection is huge. They showed me about 10 options that fitted my request. I did not feel any rush during the whole process. Thank you Meyers Jewelers.

Its taken me a whle to get around to writing this. but better late than never. For a "family business" they definately treated my husband like another number when he bought me earrings here for Christmas. He found the perfect pair of emerald cut peridot studs at Meyers, dispite the nonexistant sales help, and when he purchased the earrings, they apparently just threw them in the box (one wasn't even in the holder), and the box was USED AND MESSED UP. what a joke. it was falling apart and looked like they picked it up out of the trash.
My husband was appalled when I opened the box, because they had wisked the earrings away and brought them back to him wrapped so he hadn't actually seen the inside of the box. When we called to get another box, they basically told us we were crazy and that couldn't have happened. After bringing in the box, we got a half-hearted "sorry" and a new box. there are SO MANY jewelry stores in Columbus, spend your money at one that actually cares about helping customers and not just getting them out the revolving door!

Meyers Jewelers is the worst example of customer service there is. I took my Breitling watch in to get it resized and the response was "you will just have to leave it as these are really tough to do." In addition, I was given a lecture on how I should have bought the watch from them (at $800 over the price I paid). Contrast this to the Diamond Cellar where they took care of me in 15 minutes with NO sales pressure (guess where I am buying my next watch. NOT AT MEYERS!).
