My husband and I got both my engagement ring and wedding band from Van Horne. They did an amazing job and their customer service is incredible. Doreen and Renissa were so helpful throughout the whole process!

Van Horne Jewelers is remarkable in how they care for their customers! We had first class service with Renissa. Soon after, we worked with Katie to custom design a new ring based off of one we loved (which was out of our price range). The custom ring turned out even more beautiful than the original one we wanted--I was stunned speechless by the results!

It's simply gorgeous. Katie outdid herself in both design and execution. Both Renissa and Katie made the entire process pleasant, fun, and meaningful. This is the third time my family or I have used Van Horne Jewelers and they have my highest recommendation.

My fiance and I went to Van Horne to create a custom wedding band for my very old, antique engagement ring. The ring was green-gold and had intricate etching- it proved very hard to recreate. However, Katie B helped create several custom options and the owner Madison also ensured that we were happy by the end of the custom creation. I felt that they both communicated quickly throughout the process and they were very professional as well.

I worked with Katie at Van Horne for a custom engagement ring and wedding band. I chose Van Horne in large part because my grandmother gave me a strand of pearls built up over many Christmases, five pearls at a time. I fondly remember Van Horne as part of that yearly Christmas tradition for myself and all the other grand daughters. It is for that reason I went to Van Horne to help re-set the Diamond I had inherited from that same grandmother who has since passed away. Cue Katie B - she was so great to work with and helped my vision become a reality - with so many helpful tips and creative inspiration of her own along the way.

When it came to the band, she already knew exactly what I would like and what would fit will with the engagement ring. So happy with the rings and the service Katie and Van Horne provided.

I cannot stress how professional and helpful Van Horne Jewelers were when purchasing our engagement ring. We were helped by Renissa who was world class while helping us. She listened to everything we said and was very helpful when suggesting potential rings. Another fantastic quality of Renissa was she made sure to keep to our budget. She showed us the very best diamond as a comparison but also reiterated how I should not go beyond my means.

She also had a work cell phone that we could communicate via text message which was helpful as well! We will surely be purchasing our wedding bands and future jewelry from Van Horne!

I visited this store in the hopes I could get some information about 2 pearl necklaces which belonged to my mother before she passed away. A very kind woman waited on me and not only confirmed that my pearls were real, but also explained to me what type and their approximate value. I was very grateful to her for the information about something I knew nothing about.

The customer service and jewelry repair service are far superior to the other jewlers in our area. Van Horne is a great family owned jeweler that relates to their clients with honesty and integrity. We made the mistake of using another jeweler (JRFox)for an anniversary band and all we got was a grossly overpriced band with misshapen and broken diamonds surrounded by many lies, gross misrepresentation and intentional deceit.

Thank you to Doreen and Van Horne Jeweler's for not only assisting me with fixing the anniversary band but also totally transforming my wedding set with a simple and inexpensive solution. You have not only restored the meaning and heartfelt intent of my anniversary band but also redirected how I look at my wedding set in the most beautiful way. Absolutely stunning jewelry! I'm super picky and have looked at so many different stores. The customer service is superb super nice and very helpful in finding different peices to make a decision which is an extremely difficult thing to do when you love it all! The jewelry is so beautifully cut I've never seen anything sparkle so brightly! I won't go anywhere else this is my jewelry store for life!

They have a great selection for all ages and taste. I was able to pick out some modern minimalist earrings that fit my taste, which are hard to find anywhere else. But don't get me wrong, they also have some great glamour pieces as well. the displays are clutter free, which helps to view what they have and not feel overwhelmed.

My thanks to Doreen Ruggles and the Van Horne staff for all of their TLC in the restoration of my grandmother's pendant pocket watch; Doreen went out of her way to create a magical atmosphere for the presentation to my granddaughter. BRILLIANT! I brought in a handful of heirloom jewelry that was passed down to me from 3 generations including my engagement ring from 1995 (my husband passed 10 years ago). They were able to take a round diamond, a marquee, a rectangular peridot, pave diamonds in two shapes. They were able to create the ring of my dreams! Katie worked with me and she was ever so patient, (we made 3 revisions)! Each one reminds me of my grandmothers, my mom, & my late husband. It's truly the ultimate mother's ring.

Tammy and Doreen are the DREAM TEAM! My husband and I recently came in to update my wedding set and instantly I knew I was going to find the one. Both Tammy and Doreen immediately began helping us find what we were looking for letting us try on and see everything we laid eyes on. They were both so kind and loads of fun. Katie was one of the most HELPFUL jewelers I have ever worked with. My wife had picked out stones for my ring, and Katie seen I was not happy with the choices my wife has picked out. So she told me to come back next week and would Have the perfect stone for me. Recently, I had the pleasure of working with Katie in the hopes of adding another birthstone to a ring I had given to my wife after the birth of our first child. Although I had purchased the ring elsewhere, Katie and Kevin (bench jeweler?) treated that fact as a non-issue (I was unsure if that would prevent any modification from being done). Within about twenty minutes of me walking through the door, Katie had created a beautiful design for the updated ring, and I left with an estimate and timeline in hand.

After my wife approved of Katie's design, I was able to drop the ring off and pick right back up where we left off. The work was completed more quickly than what was initially quoted (I didn't expect that, but it was appreciated!), and any communication was efficient, relevant, and timely. My wife and I were very pleased with the end result - the ring looks as if it was never modified, as though the second birthstone was always a part of the original design.

Throughout the entire process, I never felt pressured to make a decision, and any guidance given to me was based solely on artistic or functional reasoning (which I welcomed). In summary, my entire experience was wonderful, and I will be back. That being said, I highly recommend Van Horne Jewelers! 5/5!

I had an exceptional experience in having a custom wedding ring set designed using the diamonds in my original ring. Katie, the designer, was very helpful as we came up with a beautiful design that was flattering and in good proportion on my wide fingers. After providing sketches, a wax mold was 3D printed for me to try to make sure the proportions would look good.

The resulting ring is the most beautiful piece of jewelry I have ever owned. I would highly recommend Van Horne's. Prior to this job, I have often used them for jewelry and watch repairs. They are always professional and twice came up with a creative solution for a repair when the watch company would no longer repair my husband's beloved watch.

Amazing jewelers. Broke my sentimental 25 year old pearl bracelet. Madison matched pearls perfectly. Cost was very reasonable. He also recreated my husband's lost wedding band which was almost 50 years old. Wonderful work. Great people. Family owned. My forever jeweler now!

Thank you, Doreen and Van Horne Jewelers! I have purchased jewellery from Van Horne Jewelers before and was very happy with their selection, service and price. However, this time they surprised me going the extra mile in helping me out with outstanding service! On this occasion, Saturday, 2nd February I was flying into South Bend from San Francisco to surprise my girlfriend at her birthday dinner that her family was taking her out to.

I was due to arrive at 4:30 pm with enough time to swing by Van Horne Jewelers, purchase and pick-up a gorgeous sapphire and white gold pendant and necklace to surprise my girlfriend with. Unfortunately, my connecting flight in Chicago was delayed due to a maintenance issue. So, while being delayed in Chicago I phoned Van Horne Jewelers, spoke with Doreen and explained my dilemma.

She was understanding of my situation, excited about my girlfriend's pending surprise and willing to help me out. Well, she went above and beyond what probably most would have. You see, Van Horne Jewelers closes at 5 pm on Saturdays and now due to my flight delay, I wasn't arriving into South Bend until after 5:30 pm. I went ahead and made the purchase over the phone with Doreen, and she did me the huge favor of driving over to the restaurant to meet me as I arrived in an Uber, delivering to me my girlfriend's new pendant and necklace so I could surprise her as I originally had planned! Thank you again, Doreen and thank you Van Horne Jewelers for supporting your staff in going above and beyond with outstanding customer service!

I came in to have a loose diamond tightened on my wedding ring; the representative was kind and helpful. The ring had to be sent out, and I received it back very quickly. The price was very fair. I was not in the market for jewelry - I hardly wear any- but the prices looked very reasonable. I would definitely come back here.

I was totally surprised and blown away with the ring my husband got me for a milestone birthday recently. The stone was an absolutely gorgeous shade of green with a lot of depth and sparkle. Beautiful beyond words. My understanding is that my husband had made a last minute decision to purchase the ring, which had been on my wish list, the store keeps for customers. Madison, the owner rushed it through and had it in the mail for me within a couple hours, just so it would be there in time for my special day. Thanks again for the wonderful service.

This won't be too long review in detail, but I wanted to be sure to compliment the owner, Madison on his decision to rectify something that occurred out of his control. He could have made it a challenge or uncomfortable to fix, instead he worked through the issue and came to what I believe was a fair solution. I appreciated his professionalism and his willingness to not put me through any additional stresses. Van hornes is definitely the jewelry store to come to we had a horrible experience at images, and we came here to find the one and only jewelry store to come to in the area. Amazing service we were treated like royalty when we came in and every time we come in. We were looking for a REAL JADE WEDDING BAND for my husband. They took there time and did a lot of research finding the PERFECT ring, and with great success they did.

If your looking for something special, custom ring, or just some nice jewelry look no further they are amazing here! I even brought my ring in that had some prongs break and when I came and picked it up the prongs were done right nice a beefy and flawlessly fixed. Also they are in a nice area so you don't have to worry about getting robbed!

We returned to Van Horne to purchase our wedding bands and had such a great experience! They made sure we got our rings sized properly free of charge. They helped us find the perfect match for my engagement ring!

I've worked with Van Horne a few times over the years but my most recent experience was most important as I was seeking the ideal custom engagement ring for my girlfriend. Even though I live and work in Chicago and have access to wonderful jewelers here, I trusted that Van Horne was the best choice for the job, and oh how right I was. Bill and Jessy were simply phenomenal.

They demonstrated incredible attention to detail from start to finish, listening to my rather unique design requests and keeping me in the loop throughout the entire process via CAD designs over e-mail and regular updates by phone. They delivered the ring on time without a hitch (even though the deadline was tight ~1 month) and the end product is without a doubt an instant heirloom. If you're looking to create something truly stunning and one of a kind, look no further - I couldn't be happier. They definitely know how to surprise and delight.

I decided to visit this jewelry store on the way home from work today as I am in the market for an engagement ring. I was incredibly disappointed with the lack of customer service. I spent about 5 minutes perusing the cases, taking my time. I made eye contact with both of the ladies on the floor. Neither greeted me nor addressed me. I made eye contact with the gentleman in the office.

He did not greet me either. I was professionally dressed, so I doubt that my attire made me so dismissible. I was prepared to buy or discuss having a piece made. No one asked me what I was in the market for or what brought me into their business today. When I approached one of the ladies on the floor, she looked away and turned her back towards me.

Message received. I will take my business elsewhere. Good thing I snapped a picture of the piece I was interested in. I will have another jeweler order it if possible or make it for me.

The building was very clean and well kept but they are VERY over priced and the sales people were fake. They seemed disinterested in helping find what I was looking for and put on a fake smile.

For my Ph. D. graduation, my aunt and uncle (who I am very close with) gave me the most BEAUTIFUL silver hoop earrings. Absolutely stunning. The sterling silver is cut so strikingly I have had people ask me if they were diamonds. I wear them all the time! They mean so much to me! LOVE LOVE LOVE. Well, I was crammed 5 girls into a hotel room at the Marriott in Philadelphia last week, and somehow one of my beloved earrings disappeared off the nightstand.

We didn't have the cleaners come and we looked EVERYWHERE! So, I called Van Horne to see if they could replace the earring. Gary could not have been nicer or more helpful. He was able to look up the exact product that my aunt had purchased and was able to replace the earring for me, at cost. So happy! I'm delighted with both the product and with the customer service at Van Horne. I live kind of far away to use them regularly, but I highly recommend this jeweler for personal attention, excellent product, and caring service.

My boyfriend bought my engagement ring here. They had the best service and they were not pushy at all. My ring is so beautiful and I could not be happier. We are going to be getting my matching wedding band here in a few months.

The main requirement here was that my wife loves her rings and that was a complete success. We went to Van Horne because Dan does such a great job on our jewelry (repairs, additions to other jewelry, etc.) and we've been going to Van Horne for those services for years. This was our first occasion to have a piece of jewelry custom made and we absolutely love it. Having jewelry custom made was more expensive than buying something out of the case but it was well worth the additional price since the quality was that much greater.

We chose a beautiful sapphire first and then went to work on the setting. Both Dan and Bill worked on the setting and it came out amazing. We had several concept meetings with them to rework any items that we wanted or that they thought would add or detract from the ring. We are both very happy with the level of service we received, the quality of the workmanship, and the quality of the materials. We will definitely go back to Van Horne for our jewelry purchases and especially for anything that we choose to have custom made.
