House of Time was the name on the door when Alvin J. House opened his jewelry, watch and clock repair shop in 1962. He hired Benjamin Apeland as a jeweler in 1981. Later, in 1985 Tim Scheer joined the team as a master clock repairman. Benjamin purchased House of Time from Alvin in 1990 and after a few years of operation, put his own name on the door.
Benjamin Jewelers is now located in the University Square Shopping Center and is run by a competent team headed up by Benjamin himself, along with clock repairman Tim, and Jodi is our goldsmith apprentice.

I got my ring sized down a couple weeks ago and I am so happy with the results. My ring fits so nicely and I can't even tell where they did it at! The staff were very friendly and helpful with answering any questions I had and were able to give me an estimate as to when it would be done. Although they were booked 3 weeks out they were happy to help me with getting my ring done in a timely matter. 10/10 recommend:

I have been going here for years. They are honest and hardworking people. They take the time to talk and coordinate with whatever you need. I even pop in to get my jewelry cleaned! You really can't beat the attention you are given as a customer. I have been around the world and been in many jewelry shops. Nobody is kinder more more motivated to get you that perfect pieces of a masterpiece.

Our customer experience was outstanding at Benjamin Jewelers. Ben and Tim provide honest, whole and timely information. We never felt pressured to purchase one engagement ring over another, nor did we ever feel pressured to pick one diamond over another. We asked for their honest opinions, and they always gave them to us, regardless of price. I say again, regardless of price. Ben has exceptional situational awareness and could tell exactly what my fiancee preferred, which was very beneficial when making the final decision.
And after she wore the ring for a month, Ben did a phenomenal job making a slight adjustment to the sizing, resulting in an even better fit. As far as the products, the rings turned out wonderfully. We received them when he said they would arrive, and they are more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Ben did a marvelous job setting the diamond for my fiancee's ring; it's perfect. For a decision this important, we highly recommend Benjamin Jewelers. Their customer service is brilliant and honest, which is something you will truly appreciate and enjoy.

Excellent customer service! My husband has shopped here several times over the years. Today he was trying to help our son who purchased an engagement ring elsewhere ( he currently lives out of state and had limited funds ) but came with a damaged box. The owner was very gracious today and provided them with a very nice box, free of charge! Thank you so much for helping with his special day!

Benjamin Jewelers staff really took the time to help find the perfect watch band for me. I was indecisive for a bit, but they were patient. When we finally selected the perfect one and they installed it and made a watch I haven't worn in months my favorite again. I'm grateful for their services and would recommend them to anyone.

I needed to have my husbands wedding ring sized and brought it here. I asked that they add gold and not stretch the gold and they agreed that was something they had no issue with. After a long wait I returned to pick up the ring and they had sized it to a completely wrong size. Another long wait and they returned the ring stretched so thin it was uncomfortable and dangerous.
It has since broken. I am amazed at the lack of professional work done here. I asked for a simple sizing and they ruined his ring. I would not only not recommend them but suggest you keep any precious jewelry out of their hands.
