This Colorado rock shop has specialized in gem bone and dinosaur bone for many years.
We carry a large selection of cabochons ready for your next project! A cabochon is a gemstone which has been shaped and polished as opposed to faceted. The resulting form is usually a convex (rounded) obverse with a flat reverse. Cabochon was the default method of preparing gemstones before gemstone cutting was developed. Please call if you have a particular need - we can send pictures if we have anything in stock that might fit your need.

Extremely friendly staff, great selection and cheaper prices than I've seen at most places. Worth going out of the way to visit. We easily spent 30 minutes just looking at everything they had. FME, the store is a bit above average size and they have an outside area of rough stones about the same size. Highly recommend.

I'm really glad I stopped. The shop is on the diminutive size but to my surprise there was a large display of Krystal's, semi precious stones and minerals. The owner was very kind and answered all my stupid questions. The shop has been owned and operated by the same family for 3 generations. A very warm and friendly place. You'll like it.

They have a lot of material for those who enjoy cutting rough rock. Also offered, quite a selection of finished jewelry. They have plenty of equipment supplies as well. I was impressed by the quantity of dinosaur bone they have for sale. As those who work this material know, it is getting difficult to find quality petrified bone.

This shop has a great number of cut stones, polished stones, stone slabs and collections of rocks outside sold by the pound. I wish I could have spent more and picked up a few more slabs. The have a great facility for cutting their own stones. Great place for collectors and geologically leaning people. They have rock from all over the world and lots of local ones. I will be back!

Amazing place, amazing finds from geodes to petrified rock, wonderful books, ammonites, jewelry making material, gold, minerals in all shapes and sizes. Leave enough time to decide what you want. But the owner is very patient and very knowledgeable. So glad we stopped by. Thank you. Will be back and/or order online.

Expansive selection that is fairly priced, with a lot of rare gems I haven't seen before! There are even some necklaces there for $3 and crystals that are often highly priced on sale for half off. : it's very quiet and located in a secluded location, but a real treat every time I stop by. I never leave without finding something new!
